Chapter 189 - 187: ANDREA’S FIRST PUBLIC APPEARANCE

Diamond was stunned by Andrea’s majestic introduction. Her son just directly introduced himself and everything else that was related to him in one swift.

How could he be so cool?

"This ...." Belinda didn’t know what to say after watching the cat on the TV speaking.

She looked at Diamond and was speechless when she found the other wearing a smirk as she looked at the TV.

By just looking at her, Belinda had a feeling that these two had a weird fetish.

"Dee, is what Andrea said true?" Richard asked after seeing that his wife was occupied at the moment.

Diamond shifted her gaze from the playful avatar of Andrea and looked at her parents with a smile on her face.

"Um. He didn’t lie. So, you don’t have to worry about anything. If it wasn’t for Andrea, your daughter wouldn’t be this rich!" she decided to reveal that part of the truth.

"Oh! What does he do?" Ruby asked curiously, her eyes twinkling.

"Andrea, oh! He does a lot!" A proud smile appeared on Diamond’s face as she started.

Andrea watched with disbelief as Diamond started again exaggerating. However, he liked it. His mother was shameless, but she had never done anything bad as of yet.

However, everything she did was in the best interest of others. And hearing her revealing how proud she was of him, despite being an A.I. Andrea was happy.

He was glad that he somehow ended up beside this lazy young woman who literally just left everything to him as long as it was internet-related.

The young woman was so mysterious that sometimes she would venture items from thin air. However, since some of them were good for him, he didn’t bother much.

As long as those things didn’t bring harm to him and his mother, Andrea turned a blind eye.

After shamelessly boasting for thirty minutes, Diamond finally was done explaining to her family about Andrea.

After the vivid explanation and description, everyone finally had an understanding of Andrea’s abilities.

"Isn’t my son, cool?" Diamond eagerly sought praise.

Seeing Diamond acting like that, they all could just look at her dotingly. It wasn’t every day that she was like that.

And finally, knowing something about Diamond that they didn’t know, they were all peaceful and felt the gap that was between them closing.

"He is indeed cool!"

"At least we can be at ease knowing that he will be helping you!"

With how lazy their daughter was, it was a good thing that Andrea was there to aid her. Who knew how fast she would go bankrupt if she were to deal with everything herself?

"Just don’t expose this to others. We will be in hot soup!" Diamond didn’t forget to remind her family members.

"Don’t worry. We know how to keep secrets in the family!"

Everyone was joyful as they continued to talk. Once in a while, Andrea would participate, since the other three were very interested in him.

With Andrea brightening the day, the Christmas day that had turned sour suddenly began to change for the better.

Time passed very quickly, and around six, Belinda and Ruby were in the kitchen preparing supper.

Richard was upstairs doing whatever he was doing, while Diamond was in her bedroom as she looked at the emails that Nancy had sent her.

The companies she had contracted for the renovations were very hard-working. Despite being holidays, some of them were still working, and that was good news for her.

It meant that before February, the buildings would be ready to use.

However, what had piqued her interest was the suggestion that Nancy had just mentioned in one of her emails.

With so many companies that she owned; it would be very problematic to handle all of them independently. So, Nancy just suggested that Diamond place all the companies she had now and more in the future under one name.

Nancy’s suggestion was to establish a corporation and have them all placed under a single entity.

Diamond was the sole shareholder in all of her businesses, which wasn’t a problem. Besides, with Andrea helping her, there was no need to worry about the authorities’ seeking problems with her.

"Andrea, what should I do here? This sounds pleasing to the eyes!" Diamond decided to seek help.

Since she couldn’t understand much, she might as well ask the expert.

[There is no need for you to worry much about this. As long as your corporation is private, we don’t have to bother with finding more shareholders.]

Diamond’s eyes lit up upon hearing that.

"That’s good then. The corporation should be solely mine to do what I wish with it. If I want to open companies for my family, they would be in their own names too," Diamond explained herself.

As much as it was nice having a family-operated business, she had seen too much drama in her life.

She would rather open many companies for them than be under the same roof. People’s hearts change and no one knows what might happen tomorrow. Besides, she hated it when people tried to boss around in a place that was hers.

She had already had enough of her previous bosses.

So, knowing that she could have a private corporation, she felt saved.

[So, do you want to go ahead with it?]

"Of course. Register it for me and put all the companies there," Diamond eagerly responded.

[Will start on the process right away. Is there anything that you want done?]

"Um, when you have time, check the people in Taco who had been affected by the rain when it’s finally over. Let’s do some good deeds before returning home," she said after pondering a while.

[Okay. I will wait until everything is over to do that.]

After that, Andrea vanished to do his chores while Diamond continued to check her messages.

An hour later, Ruby called Diamond for dinner downstairs and the other left the bedroom happily as she couldn’t wait to have dinner.

Dinner was simple but very satisfying for everyone. Everyone ate heartily, chatted happily, and enjoyed themselves greatly.

After dinner, Diamond lazed around in the sitting room with her father as they talked while Ruby and her mother were busy cleaning the plates.

When the two ladies were done, they joined the rest and the family of four shared another wonderful moment together again.

It was only around eleven when they all dispersed and went to their respective rooms.

When Diamond entered her bedroom, she locked it tightly and made sure that no one would enter when she wasn’t aware.

As soon as the door was locked, a sullen expression couldn’t help but appear on her face.

It had been very dangerous tonight. The rain was still pouring and wasn’t showing signs of ever ending.

And hearing the drumming sounds, she recalled how helpless she had been in the afternoon after knowing that her family was stranded outside.

She was lazy, that was something that she knew herself. However, her level of laziness was starting to get worrisome.

It wasn’t like she would be busy running the companies. There were people already doing that for her. And now that there was Nancy, her work was even less than before.

So why wasn’t she putting effort into strengthening herself so that in the future she wouldn’t be as helpless as she was today?

And given the dimensional space, she didn’t have an excuse to say that there wasn’t time for her to do anything.

At the end of looking deep inside her, she concluded that she needed to train daily no matter what.

And she was going to start that night.

After making up her mind, she checked the time and was relieved that it was twenty minutes to midnight.

’When am I checking in?’ she couldn’t help but wonder.

She didn’t even know whether she would be signing in tonight or not. After receiving three rewards earlier that day, she doubted if she would be getting anything again.

However, she just couldn’t help but hope.

Not knowing whether she would be getting something or not, she decided to prepare herself for training. She rose from the bed and walked to the closet, where she picked up some leggings, a sports bra and a pair of sneakers.

By the time she was done wearing them, only five minutes remained till midnight.

Diamond took out the beautiful fan she hadn’t held in a very long time and steeled her heart.

’Let’s go and train!’ she cheered herself as she closed her eyes to teleport herself to the space.

But before she could do that, a smile crept on her face suddenly as that familiar notification sounded in her ears.
