SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 185 - 183: RESCUE
Chapter 185: Chapter 183: RESCUE
Diamond shook her head helplessly as she recalled the conversation, she just had with her mother.
’Maybe I should tell her about Andrea. Anyway, she will know about him now that I have decided to do this. But as for the system, it wasn’t time for me to do so. Let’s just wait until I am strong enough. As for how I got the RV, that will be another issue for another day.’
Diamond didn’t want to load her family with too much information. She was afraid of hurting them indirectly.
Treasures like these weren’t made to be publicized that easily. Who knows how many powerful people were out there in the world?
If someone were to hypnotize her family, wouldn’t they spill the beans?
However, Andrea was safer compared to the system. So, for now, she was going to just tell them about him and let them worry less.
If they knew about Andrea, maybe they wouldn’t be in such a situation in the first place.
It was her fault that things had gone like that. She didn’t want to make another mistake again. Especially one that would take the lives of the people that she loved dearly.
Andrea was very skilled when it comes to driving. The drive from the villa to the old neighborhood was around two hours by road. But with a few cars on the road, it took her thirty minutes less.
While inside the old community building that was starting to look like a small pool as water had somehow found its way inside, Belinda continued to peer over the window as she looked for her daughter.
As several people were from the community, they had left the building and braced the rain just to seek shelter in their own homes.
The people remaining in the building were Belinda, her husband and three more people from a nearby neighborhood.
Just like Belinda and Richard, the three had visited to come and play. But who would have expected the rain to slap them with such harsh reality?
No one expected the rain to fall. It took everyone by surprise, and with how heavy it was, it was already risky to leave.
At least inside the old building, they were safe for the moment. They all didn’t know when the rain would end but they couldn’t help but be helpless.
"Dear, do you think that our darling will arrive safely here?" Belinda asked worriedly as she continued to check for Diamond’s car outside.
"Huh! We can only hope and pray. Her car is not suitable to drive in such bad weather," Richard also felt hopeless as he waited.
"It’s my fault. I should have believed her!" Belinda felt anguish as she thought of the dangerous situation, she had placed her daughter in.
"It’s already too late to point blame. For now, let’s just hope that everything will be okay!" as a man, Richard already felt very tired.
He didn’t want to die. Above all, he didn’t want to see his beautiful wife dying before his eyes. And now his second daughter was in the same situation as them. How could he not be worried?
And to make matters worse, Diamond went crazier than all of them. With how bad it was, would she be okay on the road?
His heart was heavy.
As he caressed Belinda’s hand, all of a sudden Belinda suddenly exclaimed and her expression looked quite funny.
"This person is daring! He can actually drive such a bus in such weather!" Belinda exclaimed; disbelief written all over her face.
It was already hard to drive a small car outside. So why was this person going around and seeking trouble?
Even Richard was stunned by what he was seeing. He knew of daring people but wasn’t this one too much?
Could the driver even see properly in such rain?
However, as he was pondering and looking at the bus, something just somehow started not feeling right.
"Wife, why does that bus seem to be coming this way?" he suddenly asked, filled with confusion.
"Heh, you are right. That bus is indeed coming this way!" Belinda was also surprised.
There weren’t a lot of roads that led to the building and yet the bus was headed towards them.
"Wife, could it be ...."
"No, that will be impossible. Where would she get a bus?"
"That’s true but .... Can’t she hire it?"
"Ah! This .... Let’s move a bit closer then, and check. Maybe it’s her!" after hearing her husband’s hypothesis, Belinda decided to take a look.
So, with their curiosity, the couple both left the room they were seeking shelter in and started heading towards the main hall.
By now, the hall’s floor had water everywhere. They had to step in the water to go anywhere however that wasn’t considered bad for now. Maybe it was their daughter and even if she wasn’t, they would still get into the water once she had come.
When the other three saw the couple leaving, they hurriedly followed along. They had overheard the conversation between Belinda and her child a while ago. So, they all knew about how that child would be coming to pick them up.
As long as there was a place in the car, they were hoping to ask for a lift.
It’s just that they didn’t believe that the child would bring a bus. Wasn’t he afraid of getting everyone in a huge accident by doing so?
Thankfully, their thoughts weren’t something that Belinda or Richard could ever hear otherwise who knows what tragedy they would have faced?
Belinda and Richard braced themselves and walked out of the hall.
Upon exiting the building, the drumming of the rain could now be properly heard. The rain was simply heavy and scary. At least there weren’t a lot of thunderstorms otherwise, the consequences would have been deadly.
"Could it be really her?" Belinda hesitantly asked as the bus approached.
"If we judge by time, it should be her. But if she isn’t, then she should be somewhere pretty close!"
The couple held hands as they ignored the chilliness of the rain. If that person inside was their beloved daughter, they wanted to reunite with her quickly. And if she wasn’t, they would call and hear what was happening.
When the other here caught up, they happened to come out when the bus was just coming to a halt a safe distance away from the building.
"OMG! This bus is pretty!"
"It’s the kind that you see people going abroad using!"
"It’s what you call a luxurious bus!"
Even Belinda and Richard nodded their heads in appreciation. The bus was simply top-notch and beautiful. And that was just the outside. Who knew what it was like inside?
"Is it really her?" Belinda asked curiously without moving an inch.
"Let’s just wait!" Richard patted her hand.
Belinda sighed deeply as anxiety ate her up.
As she stood there, suddenly her phone started ringing.
Belinda upon hearing that, her eyes lit up and hurriedly fished her phone from the handbag.
"Darling, where are you? Is everything fine?" as always, Belinda bombarded her daughter with several questions at once.
Richard simply smiled dotingly as he watched all that.
Diamond was their precious jewel. Their beloved daughter that they gave their all even when they were in difficult times.
Ruby was also their precious daughter but at least she was born when things were much better compared to the time when they had Diamond.
And with how slow-witted Diamond was when growing up, they didn’t have any expectations for her. As long as she grew up healthy, happy and carefree, they would be satisfied.
And after giving birth to Ruby who was a lot much better than Diamond, the parents found it very necessary to continue their spoiling towards Diamond. They didn’t want their baby to feel as if she was being neglected just because Ruby was better than her.
Although there was a bit of resentment here and there, he was still glad that his daughter grew up and became successful.
He would be heartbroken and shattered if anything happened to her. It wasn’t just about money but that was a life he was talking about.
So, despite Diamond being all grown up and planning on starting such a weird family that even himself as a man wouldn’t dare to dream about, in their eyes, she was still their little baby.
Ad as the parents, it was only right if they were worried.
[Mom, I am fine. I have arrived. Just head to the bus and bring those three with you. It’s just the five of you, right!]
"Boom!"
Everyone exploded upon hearing what Diamond had just said. Belinda’s call volume was a little high so the other four heard her words properly.
"Darling, you .... You are the one with the bus?" Belinda stuttered in disbelief as she looked at the majestic bus right in front of her.
[Mom, get everyone in! do you want to catch a cold?] Diamond urged her shocked mother.
"Okay, darling. Just give me a while. I will be there!" what more could she say after hearing that?
[Be quick, Mom! We still have to pick Ruby!]
"Okay," she said before hanging up, her lips curling upwards.
