Chapter 181: Chapter 179: CHRISTMAS DAY

"Ummm," she yawned as she opened her eyes groggily.

She rubbed her eyes irritably before looking around.

’Why did I overdo it?’ she blamed herself as she tiredly crawled out of bed.

Despite being a novice cultivator, Diamond, who barely cultivated since she relied mostly on the heavenly art that never knew rest, was feeling tired.

Not only did she spend the whole day cooking, but she just had to let herself go wild and chat and play with her family till late.

With the parents gone, Ruby dragged her to the game room where the two sisters played until three in the morning.

After that, Diamond went into the Golden space where she harvested some mature crops before going to bed around four.

And here she was, being awoken by her biological clock around past five. She had just barely slept, and now she was awake again.

Who else could she blame except herself?

But as she recalled how much fun she had; the pain seemed worth it.

Diamond didn’t bother to take a shower in the bathroom but entered the Golden space where she came out later feeling very refreshed, with all the fatigue gone as if it wasn’t there.

Diamond put on her exercise gear and, several minutes later, she was on her way out.

Since it had already become a habit, Diamond couldn’t easily change it. Besides, since she didn’t like cultivating much as she was always busy doing this and that, running was a good thing for her.

She was the only person awake, but that didn’t bother her. With Andrea accompanying her, playing one song after the other as she ran, the morning was blessed.

[Mother, today there will be heavy rains!] From nowhere, Andrea suddenly informed her.

Upon hearing that, Diamond, who was stretching her body at a nearby park with only a few people exercising, stopped.

"What did you say?"

[It will rain today heavily!] Andrea repeated himself.

Diamond was baffled when she heard that. She looked up to the skies, the skies that had refused to let a single drop of water fall from them. There were no clouds at all, whether light or dark.

From what she was seeing, it looked as if the sun would be scorching them really badly. So how did that end up with Andrea talking about heavy rains?

"You aren’t joking with me, are you?" Diamond asked once again.

[I will never lie to you, mother.]

Upon hearing that, Diamond finally accepted that Andrea was indeed speaking the truth.

Thinking up to that, she suddenly burst into a hearty laughter.

"Haha, this is also good. I don’t know how long the rain will take, but it’s a good thing that there will be some this day."

Just thinking of the skies opening up and letting some rain fall, Diamond was excited and happy.

Although the rain wouldn’t help much since it probably wouldn’t be supporting everyone and a drought coming since she had seen that news report before regarding the drought, she was happy that it would be raining.

[Are you that happy?]

"I am happy. It’s a good day, and the rain feels like a blessing. So, I am excited," she smilingly said as she resumed her stretching.

[As long as you are happy.]

What could he say, seeing his mother acting in that manner?

Diamond happily finished her stretching and started jogging back home. Her demeanor had changed greatly and the way she was smiling and humming to the songs playing in her ear, anyone could tell that she was in a good mood.

It wasn’t long before she reached home. The first thing that she did was to go back to her bedroom, vanish into the Golden space and take another bath.

After bathing, Diamond returned to her room once again and began to look in her closet for something to wear.

She had plans before she knew that it would be raining. She wanted to go out, have some fun outside and go loose. But who would have known that it would be raining?

Although there weren’t any signs yet of that happening, Diamond knew not to ignore Andrea’s warnings.

And since there was no point in her going out, it also meant that she didn’t need to find any clothes to wear that were extravagant and suitable for the occasion.

Instead, she could just find some home clothes, wear them and relax at home.

She also didn’t have to cook. She had prepared a lot of food previously, so leftovers were plenty. The family would be having that food today, so she was the most relaxed at home.

After covering her skin while cooking yesterday, Diamond just wanted some fresh air.

As a result, she wore loose shorts with a maxi top that covered most of the leg skin.

If she was alone, she would consider a crop top, but she didn’t want to look indecent in front of her parents.

After that, she wore some flip-flops and moments later; she was going downstairs while humming to a happy tune.

The first thing that she did after going downstairs was to prepare herself a bowl of cereal with milk.

She carried her plate to the living room, where she sat on a single couch and began to devour her food while browsing her phone.

She didn’t dare check her Ioniq account first as she wanted to digest her food properly without being worried about any unexpected things happening.

After a while, she returned the bowl to the kitchen, washed it and set it aside to dry before going to the living room once more.

She lazily sat on the sofa and began to check her Ioniq account.

"OMG! Andrea, are these figures real?" she couldn’t help but exclaim as she looked at the number of followers she had woken up with.

[Um. The figures are real and it seemed that it all happened after Sullivan gifted you during the livestream,] Andrea responded as he explained in detail.

"Huh! My bae is surely a G.O.A.T, hey!" she was simply so excited as she looked at the number.

Before doing the LIVE, her Ioniq followers were around seven hundred thousand and yet after a day of streaming and with Sullivan appearing and causing chaos with his appearance, the number of followers increased rapidly to two million.

That meant that in just one day, she had received over one hundred percent of what she had.

Was her lover’s power that great?

The feeling of being followed, and popular was slowly getting to her.

"Hahaha, at this rate, won’t I be competing with those popular celebrities?" she asked boastfully as she kicked her legs like a child.

[You are already are!]

Hearing that from Andrea, Diamond was even more uplifted.

"As always, my son knows me well!"

Diamond began to check her inbox and was stunned by how crazy people could be at times.

The majority were busy asking about her connection with Sullivan, others were busy insulting her and the rest were simply being good citizens.

"Andrea, block everyone who had spoken profanities and insulted me. I can have such mannerless people anyway near me!"

Diamond would rather have a few people following her than toxic ones. So, what if she loses the majority of her followers by blocking them?

Although she wanted popularity, it wasn’t at the expense of getting herself tormented. She wasn’t a masochist who would tolerate being abused.

Sometime later, everyone came downstairs, and the family was finally one once again.

"Um, sister weren’t we going out?" Ruby asked confusingly when she saw how relaxed Diamond was.

She didn’t look like someone who would be going anywhere at all.

"Oh! I will be staying at home today."

"Why?" Ruby was puzzled by this sudden change in schedule.

"I heard that it will be raining. Since it will be like that, why should I go out to make myself suffer?" Diamond shivered at the thought of it.

"Hehe, sister. Who lied to you like that?"

"Diamond, Ruby makes sense. It is so clear. How could it possibly rain?" Belinda even added hearing what Diamond was saying.

Diamond also knew that no one would believe her, so she wasn’t that much upset when they didn’t believe her.

"Anyway, I will be staying here. If you want to go out, then do so. But don’t forget to keep extra clothes just in case and oh, some umbrellas as well!" Diamond didn’t forget to remind the three.

Seeing her like that, the three could only shake their heads and continued to eat.

After having breakfast, Belinda and Richard, the couple, bid their daughters goodbye and left in one car.

After they left, Ruby was the next one to leave. And just like the parents, Ruby didn’t bring with her an umbrella.

"Since I have a car, why should I bring one? Besides, it won’t be raining!" she was very adamant and firm with her decision.

Seeing them refusing to listen to her, Diamond could only shake her head, imagining how sorry they would be later.

With everyone gone, Diamond disappeared into the Golden space and started practicing her alchemy skills.

It’s been a while since she practiced and now that no one was at home, it would be efficient for her to use that time very well.

As for what was going on outside, it didn’t have any effect on her.

She just put all her effort and concentration into making herself stronger and capable enough.
