Chapter 169: Chapter 167

Upon hearing that, Diamond felt like she was saved. She wasn’t sure how to continue the topic, but with what Kian had just said; she was saved and could now freely go loose.

"Then I am glad to be a unique person!" she chuckled softly with relief.

[No one is like you. Even if there are other people like you, you will still remain unique in my eyes.]

"Of course, I am unique. How can other people compare with me?"

[Yes, my lady, you are one of a kind.]

"Will I still remain that way if I bring more other guys, too?"

[Why not? It’s not like us brothers didn’t know what we getting into when we got into this relationship.]

When she heard that, her eyes brightened.

"That’s good then. If I ever take an interest in someone, I will make sure to tell you. When it comes to our relationship. I don’t want to hide anything from you."

[I am grateful for that.]

"So, when will you be free? I think that I will be here until around the seventh of January if nothing changes."

[That’s a long time. If you don’t mind, can I celebrate New Year on your side?]

"Oh! You really want to do that?"

[Yeah! We brothers, rarely return home for festive like these. And now that we have you, I think it will be appropriate to be with you.]

"As long as you feel fine with it, then you can come. My parents will be very thrilled." Diamond was jovial as she said that.

It isn’t every day that you get to meet a willing lover who wants to visit you and spend more time with your family.

When she was dating that guy who was stolen by Alaine nearly four years ago, her parents never saw him at all. In fact, he never even introduced her to his family members, and the feeling was very depressing.

[I am fine with anything. I can come earlier. I just need to finish my current workload first.]

"Okay. When will you be done?" she was curious as she kicked her legs.

[Around twenty-six I should be done. Which means that I will be there around twenty-eight December.]

"Oh! That’s a week away!"

[Um, I can’t wait to see you!]

"Me too. It’s been ages since we last met."

After confirming Kian’s travelling schedule, Diamond and he started talking about other things, and the two had quite a blast.

It was somewhere around midnight that Diamond finally hung up with a smile on her face.

When she was done with the call, it was finally time for her to deal with other things. She still wasn’t in a hurry to go to sleep.

She had received a packet of ginseng seeds earlier that day so she flashed into the Golden space where she took out the seeds and read carefully the instructions on how to plant them.

There were still several ridges that she had not planted yet, so she used one of the ridges for the ginseng.

When she was done, she watered all the ridges with a smile on her face.

The seedlings she planted the previous day no longer looked like they were just babies. It was as if it’s been weeks since they were planted and their vitality was too good to be true.

’With the way they are growing, I will be harvesting in two to three days!’ she mused as she looked at the farm happily.

After checking the farm, Diamond went inside the cabin and headed upstairs to the library, where she picked a book on herbology and started to read.

She couldn’t use Andrea at all in a situation like this. She had to personally do everything otherwise everything she had gained would go to waste.

She didn’t force herself to cram everything but made sure she had read and understood the basics before she left the Golden space.

When she flashed back into the bedroom, it was around two in the morning. She took a quick shower, changed into nightwear, and retired to bed.

The next morning, she woke up feeling refreshed despite sleeping late. After washing her face and brushing her face, Diamond went for her morning jog and returned around seven in the morning when everyone had woken up.

Her parents were no longer working. She had the money and didn’t plan on seeing her parents suffering and working for others while they could just sit and enjoy life.

Their daughter was rich and loaded, so why suffer?

"Good morning, mom!" Diamond cheerfully greeted her as soon as she spotted her mother busy with the pots in the kitchen.

Belinda turned her head to look at Diamond and returned the greeting smilingly. "Good morning, darling. You just returned from your morning jog?"

"Um. I have gotten used to it. I just can’t help myself!" Diamond replied as she sat on a stool to watch her mother.

"It’s good to have healthy habits!" Belinda nodded her head appreciatively as she returned her attention to the pots.

Diamond smiled brightly upon hearing that. She used to be lazy before. And her self-esteem had plummeted to its lowest point. But now things were different. At least she needed to put some energy into maintaining her body, although she knew that the cultivation, she had would do the trick.

It was just a matter of training and strengthening her mentality.

"Mom! You look more beautiful today! It seems that the pill worked!" Diamond exclaimed as she looked at her mother exaggeratedly.

She had already seen the changes her mother went through the second she entered the house, but because they were engaged in another conversation, she couldn’t say it.

Her mother was already pretty and after taking the water pill and other pills she had given her and her father before, the two were no longer looking like they were in their late forties. They looked pretty young and more energetic.

And after taking the beauty pill, the forty-six-year-old woman seemed to be in her late thirties.

Fortunately, there had been changes before. So even if others were to see her mother, they wouldn’t be too suspicious.

Belinda grinned happily after hearing that. She couldn’t help but boast shamelessly.

"Even your father was too shocked when he saw me. He said that he now must keep me locked away, otherwise the young boys might steal me!"

Hearing her mother’s boasting, Diamond laughed heartily.

It was good to see her mother not overwhelmed by stress and depression as before.

Not only did she and her father have to save for the house, tuition, food, and utilities, but they also had to worry about Diamond’s surgical fees.

There was no peaceful moment for the family at all. However, now that everything had been sorted out, everyone was carefree, without the burden of bills and debts pressing over them.

She was just grateful that something magical happened to her and changed her life and the surrounding people.

If she hadn’t been scammed and sent for a vacation at that time, she wouldn’t have been this fortunate to be bound to the system.

It was only at times like these that she finally understood what they meant when they said that everything always happens for a reason.

They scammed her and fired her, but what they didn’t know was that they opened the doors for her. And now she was her own boss and living much better compared to the people who once looked down on her.

"He should keep an eye out. Otherwise, who knows which handsome boys would come to snatch you away from him!" Diamond responded in agreement as she imagined how crazy that would be.

"That is never allowed!" a rich and familiar male voice bellowed from behind.

Both Diamond and her mother didn’t need to turn around to know who just spoke.

"Hubby! Can’t you let your woman play a little longer?" Belinda complained as she stirred the pot.

"Humph! Play! There is nothing like that. You are mine!" Richard declared as he sat next to Diamond, who was trying her best to not laugh at her parents’ bickering.

"You ....."

"Dad! don’t you look energetic?" Diamond asked teasingly as she looked at her father while keeping her hand over her mouth.

Upon hearing that, Richard grinned, showing his white teeth that were still full and intact in his mouth. There wasn’t even a single gap in his mouth at all.

"Hehe, isn’t this all thanks to my dear girl? I didn’t spoil you for nothing!"

Upon hearing her husband’s boasting, Belinda rolled her eyes at him before stating. "Why are you saying something like that, as if you are the only one that spoiled her?"

"I am wondering the same, too. We all spoiled her!" Ruby chipped in as she joined everyone in the kitchen.

Who would have thought when she came downstairs, she would come across her parents acting like kids?
