SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 168 - 166
Chapter 168: Chapter 166
While the mother and daughter were busy teasing each other, Diamond made her way towards her father. The man that she had always known to be gentle, loving and well deserving to be the best father of all time.
Diamond smiled as she plunged herself into her father’s arms.
"Dad! How have you been?" she asked as she enjoyed her father’s embrace.
Richard hugged his pretty daughter and felt emotional. How time flies, but he was glad for everything that happened.
His family was rich and, above all, happy. His daughter mostly was responsible and cared more for others. As a father, how could he not be touched?
"It’s been relaxing, but I have missed you girls!" he said as he patted her head.
Diamond pulled herself away from her father as she sulkily glared at him.
"I am not a kid!"
"Yes, yes, yes. My baby is an adult. How could I forget about that?" Richard played along as he rubbed her head once again.
"Dad, you ....!"
"Hahaha, Dee, you don’t look like an adult at all!" Ruby interacted with a peal of hearty laughter.
Diamond turned and glared at Ruby, who was laughing her guts out.
"I will deal with you!" Diamond threatened.
"Hehe, Mom and Dad are here!" Ruby stuck her tongue at Diamond.
No matter what, there was no way she would be scared of Diamond. With Mom and Dad there to oversee everyone, Ruby’s confidence was way over the charts.
Belinda and Richard watched as the sisters teased one another and a sense of pride filled them.
The two used to be not close before. Since they grew apart and Diamond stayed for three years away without returning home, the girls only communicated through the phone.
And with how biased they were towards Diamond; it was not surprising if Ruby had grown up disliking Diamond. Fortunately, the sisters were getting along with each other, and to them, that was something worth seeing.
"Stop playing! Let’s go inside, or do you want to burn under the sun?" Belinda urged the sisters, who seemed to be having too much fun playing in the sun.
The girls stopped and looked at their mother with sheepish grins.
"Hehe."
"Carry the bags and hurry up!"
In the end, the sisters got reprimanded for playing too much in the sun as they pulled the suitcases alongside their parents into the villa.
The parents helped the sisters to their respective rooms before they went downstairs to continue preparing the meal.
Diamond didn’t bother to unpack her clothes but went for a shower first. The sun was simply too glaring. It was as if it was showing off. And she was grateful that she had worn a sun dress instead of the overall she had wanted to wear before.
When she was done showering, she picked another sun dress and got rid of the hat.
After that, she took out some flip-flops and wore them. Done with changing, she left her room and went to join her parents.
She didn’t join them to cook but sat comfortably as she watched the husband and wife feeding her dog food.
She wasn’t interested in cooking at all. After cooking for herself for a very long time and then having someone else do it for her, cooking no longer thrilled her.
So, despite disliking being fed dog food by her parents, she wasn’t willing to go elsewhere. She just wanted to watch them for a little longer.
Ruby later joined them downstairs and the two sisters quietly watched the parents until they were done.
The sisters, however, helped to bring the plates to the dining room and helped to set everything.
With the food brought to the table, everyone got seated and lunch began.
No one observed the table manners. If they couldn’t even be free when eating, what would they say they are doing?
So, the family of four talked about Frin, and how fun the city was.
In the end, it was basically Ruby talking while the three of them listened.
After lunch, Ruby volunteered to do the dishes, and Diamond accompanied the parents. With how well her manicure was done, there was no way she was willing to have any washing detergent on her hands.
"So, how is business? Anything bothering you yet?" her father asked as he sat relaxedly on the sofa.
"Everything is well. I haven’t met any setback so far," Diamond sincerely told her father.
That was indeed the truth. She hadn’t faced any issues that were huge enough to make her worry.
And with her father’s interest in her business. She didn’t hesitate to tell him or them about the farm as well. As for the other businesses that they didn’t know about, she didn’t bother to say anything about them.
After all, wouldn’t it become troublesome if they start asking for more information?
So, the couple listened as Diamond vividly talked about her side of the story. Hers was different from Ruby, so the flavors were different.
After narrating her side, the sisters urged the parents to tell them about their vacation.
It became a day of sharing stories, and it was very relaxing. Something that they all wanted for a while now.
For supper, the girls were forced to join. Ruby helped the most while Diamond’s job was to pass whatever was needed to the people in charge of cooking.
They had dinner together, Ruby did the dishes, and they all went for a walk in the neighborhood.
When they returned home, Diamond gathered everyone for a family meeting where she gave her parents and Ruby the gifts she had prepared before.
Ruby was stunned when she saw the gifts. After all, her sister didn’t say anything to her when they were in Frin. And the second they returned to Taco; Diamond took a lot of goodies.
Just how good was her sister at keeping secrets?
"Princess, what is this?" Belinda asked her daughter excitedly as she looked at the gift bags that had been handed to them.
Diamond smiled at her parents and little sister before answering. "There are beauty creams inside, and pills inside."
"Pills! Which one did you bring this time? We still have some of the healing pills you gave us before!" Belinda curiously asked as she opened the gift bag.
"Hehe, I brought some new pills. There is one body strengthening portion for each person, beauty pills for mom and sister and a rejuvenating pill for dad," Diamond explained as she watched her mother taking the items out.
"Oh! There are such good things this time!" Ruby said excitedly as she rummaged through her bag.
"Um! The beauty pill is more like a water pill, but more efficient. After taking it, you will look not only younger but look very beautiful!" Diamond explained.
"And the body strengthening portion. Does it make your body stronger or what?" Richard asked curiously.
"Um, something like that. You don’t need to worry about being weak at all. At least if someone provokes you. You will be able to hold your ground."
"Rejuvenating pill will help you dad to keep yourself energized. We wouldn’t want you breaking down any second, would we?" Diamond said teasingly as she looked at her father, who was grinning at her.
More questions were thrown at Diamond and she answered them as honestly as she could.
After everyone got their pills, Diamond knew that there wouldn’t be any chilling to be done later.
Everyone went to their rooms and Diamond didn’t forget to remind Ruby that she wasn’t at the age of taking the beauty pill. What if she regressed to become younger? Won’t that be alarming?
In the end, Ruby could only dejectedly take the body strengthening while storing the beauty pill away safely.
While the whole family was busy going through some great changes, Diamond was lying on her bed, as she had a video call with Kian.
Sullivan was busy working, so apart from sending texts here and there, he was nowhere to be found.
[When can I come for a visit?] Kian asked as he sat relaxedly in his chair.
Diamond rolled her eyes at the man upon seeing how eager he was to come to see her parents.
"Are you not going to wait for your brother?" she asked teasingly.
Kian on the screen shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly as he responded, [it wasn’t me who made him take that script at a time like this.]
"Hahaha, why does it seem like you are holding a grudge?" Diamond asked as she laughed heartily.
[Humph, who made him eye the woman that I fell for?]
"Hehe, and here I thought that you brothers love sharing!"
[It’s the first time we have ever done something like this. We were both selfish to let you go, so our best solution was to do this.]
"And if I had refused. Where are you going to give me up?" Diamond’s brows raised as she asked that.
She was quite curious about that, actually. If she wasn’t into polyamory from the beginning, what would have become of them?
[Honestly, I don’t know. The two of you are people I sincerely care about. I don’t want to lose you. So, I don’t even want to think of what might have happened if you weren’t into the lifestyle.]
Diamond could hear Kian’s dejection over the phone. She didn’t know what to think either. It was a tough question and one that was indeed difficult to answer.
[That is why I am glad and grateful that you are into this lifestyle, otherwise I don’t know what I would have become.]
