SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 164 - 162
Chapter 164: Chapter 162
"...... I just want to thank you everyone for staying with me until this very end. When we started, we weren’t a lot. We even had to share with the farm and there was still a lot of room available."
"We started from zero and now we have become one of the reputable foundations in Frin. I really want to applaud you guys. You have worked hard and helped a lot of people in this year."
"Your dedication and hard work have touched a lot of people, and with the work you have done, you have saved a lot of souls from going astray. For all of that, I want to say thank you. Thank you for believing in me from the beginning and for never thinking of leaving, even when the salary was meagre."
"And to thank you for that, I have decided that apart from the normal salary and designated year-end bonuses you are supposed to receive today, I will be giving you another bonus. Just consider this my gratitude to you," Diamond said with a smile on her face.
Seeing the joy becoming visible on more than one hundred people, the people who had been helping her to fulfil the mission bestowed on her by the system, she was happy.
"Not only that but next year, everyone would get a ten percent increase in their salaries. A new bonus system will be put in place and when the finance department is done with it, you will all be informed. I hope that next year we will continue to work hard together without any problems."
"I need to remind you that just because I am running a charity foundation, I will keep a blind eye on people who want to take advantage of me. If you steal, scheme or betray me or the foundation, I will make you suffer so much."
"Money doesn’t just fall from the trees. I hope that everyone will always remember that. I do understand that we are human beings and sometimes we will have difficulties at home. If there is ever such a thing happening, then go and speak with your superiors. The issues will be sent to me. As long as you are being truthful, I will never leave you in a ditch. So please, trust me and don’t do things that will make us enemies."
"Last but not least, we will close a bit earlier. As soon as you get your salaries sent to you. Everyone can go home. We will open on the 10th of January. So, I will be expecting everyone to be present on the set date."
"Also, if you don’t mind, during your holiday, when you have time, just jot down whenever you come across something that is affecting society if you come across a place or people that need real help. Just jot it down or send it to your respective groups. This way, when we open, we will know where to start."
Diamond addressed her employees for more than an hour, and it was basically her speaking while the rest listened and jotted down notes in their notebooks.
After addressing everything, Diamond didn’t want to keep everyone. With how eager everyone was to get their salaries and go home, it wouldn’t be wise for her to be a bandit. So, she excused everyone.
Diamond returned to her office where she received a call from Nancy, who informed her that she had received the quotation and that she wanted to meet up with her.
Diamond provided Nancy with an address of where to meet before she left the building.
There was already someone in charge and someone responsible for making sure that everyone was out of the building later, so she didn’t find any reason to linger around.
The money she wanted to give the employees as bonuses, she had Andrea lend a hand. So, whatever came next was not her business to worry about.
Diamond drove to DIAMOND FARM retail offices, where the grocery shop and butchery were. It was also another busy place and one that wasn’t going to close fully.
Since vegetables, fruits and meat were something that people consumed daily, it would be a loss if she were too close.
So, she was there for another meeting. As she was leaving the next day for Taco, Diamond had to meet everyone and see what to do first.
When she arrived, she spotted Nancy’s car. Since she was the one who bought it, she recognized it immediately.
When Nancy, who was parked in the parking space, spotted Diamond’s car, she immediately picked up her things and exited the car.
Diamond saw Nancy holding a bag and several folders and immediately understood that it was going to be business.
However, Nancy would have to wait as she had to meet with the people in the offices first before dealing with her.
"Good morning, boss!" Nancy greeted Diamond respectfully and warmly.
"A good morning to you, too. How have you been?"
"I have been adjusting and everything is fine."
"That’s good then." Diamond was relieved.
She could tell that Nancy was pretty clever. After all, she was already confident about driving around in a city she had been in for less than a week.
Diamond took Nancy into the shop. When the supervisor saw Diamond entering, she quickly washed her hands before rushing to welcome Diamond, despite the curious gazes of many.
After accepting the greeting, Diamond took the elevator upstairs with Nancy where she found the people in charge, Cindy and Agatha. The two people who had been with her when she was just starting.
These two had proven to be very trustworthy, and Diamond was glad that she had trusted them with the retail business back then.
As there was no need for many people working in the shop, there was no need for Diamond to call everyone for a meeting.
The DIAMOND FARM retail business and the farm were considered two different businesses in Diamond’s head.
Cindy and Agatha were responsible for selling the produce that they would get from the farm but weren’t allowed to involve themselves or participate in whatever was happening there.
The retail shop could sell the produce and so would the farm. And thinking up to that point, Diamond began to see a problem. Since they were already separated in her head, why not just separate them for real and just split them into two businesses?
That thought seemed to be quite good. She was going to act on it later.
During the meeting, Diamond and the two ladies discussed how they were going to deal with the holiday issues. As Diamond wanted everyone to go and rest, all her employees were supposed to close on that particular day.
However, she didn’t mind anyone who wanted to work overtime. That would be beneficial to her. Besides, there wasn’t a lot of work apart from serving customers.
The meeting lasted for an hour and Diamond left after sending bonuses to everyone to their accounts. For those who didn’t have accounts, she had Nancy withdraw some cash at a nearby ATM and give them cash.
As for overtime, that would be something that Agatha and Cindy would deal with when the shop officially closed.
When she was done, Diamond and Nancy left the shop and Nancy was looking at Diamond with a stunned expression.
She didn’t know that Diamond had so many businesses and that she could causally just wave her hands and give money to people. She thought that she was the only person she had done that to, but to her surprise; it seemed that Diamond was that generous.
Diamond drove to the nearest building that she owned and parked her car. Nancy parked next to Diamond before leaving her car to enter Diamond’s.
While looking at the five-storied building, Diamond listened as Nancy explained to her in detail about the quotation and what Lisa and her team were planning to do with the buildings.
She was glancing at the building once in a while as she envisioned what was being talked about.
Diamond was always a person who believed in professionals. She was an amateur and since the professionals said that it was good to do it that way; she wasn’t one to cause problems.
After listening to Nancy’s report on the three projects that she was assigned to do, Diamond was satisfied.
Looking at the three quotations, Diamond didn’t feel her heart aching when she saw the amount of money.
To get what she wanted, she didn’t have a choice to spend. So, she took out an extra card that she barely used, especially ever since she got a platinum card from ABA.
Diamond had several bank cards from different banks and most of the time, she didn’t use them. On most occasions, she was forced to show off. She could only take out the ABA card, and it worked pretty well.
"There is ten million in that card. Use it to pay for the deposit. I will transfer more when you need it," Diamond told Nancy as she gave her the gold card.
Nancy took the card with a stunned expression.
’Was money that easy to earn nowadays?’ she wondered but didn’t dare ask anything out loud.
After giving Nancy the money, Diamond excused her. There was no need for them to continue to converse. There was a lot that needed to be done.
Besides, Nancy was not knocking off. She had just started working. So why would she need a vacation?
Besides, the girl had already consumed a lot of money from her compared to the people who had worked hard for her.
So, Nancy was doomed to work even during the holidays. And there was nothing anyone could do about it.
That was what life was like.
