SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 156 - 154
Chapter 156: Chapter 154
Bloom Gallery
A few kilometers away from the CBD was a gallery called Bloom. It was a famous one that usually hosted successful art exhibitions that people didn’t get tired of talking about.
Most artworks exhibited there were usually owned by rich people, and those that were being sold were sold at ridiculous prices as well.
Any artist who gets lucky enough to have his or her work displayed there would be sorted out for life.
On this particular day, Bloom Gallery was once again hosting another exhibition and outside, a red carpet could be seen from the gallery’s entrance to the road.
Besides the carpet, there were polls barring the enthusiastic reporters, passersby, and live streamers from disturbing the entry of the guests.
Among the guests that were coming to this exhibition, there were rich madams, the young scions of society, the misses and young masters of Frin. There were also some art enthusiasts, celebrities to boost the event and some special guests.
The mystery and thrill were mostly on special guests, as nobody knew exactly who would be invited. And usually, it was the hidden big shots that always ended up popping at an event like that as well.
Of course, there was no shortage of mediocre guests who were fortunate enough to attend because of their friends. Despite what background one might hold, the people waiting outside were eager to see which people would be attending and try to dig something about them.
Waiting outside and in a fancy red sports car was Clarissa. She just kept on checking her smartwatch for time and she was starting to get worried.
She had called Diamond twenty minutes ago, and the other told her that she was almost there and now twenty minutes later, Diamond was nowhere in sight.
’I should have gone to pick her up!’ Clarissa regretted agreeing with Diamond to come on her own.
With the exhibition starting at eleven, she didn’t even know if she would get time to walk on the red carpet properly.
She had promised her mother that she wouldn’t disappoint her. After all, it was her mother who gave her an extra invite for her to deal with as she wished.
If the person she invited was going to be late, she didn’t know how she would face her mother. And it was already eating her up.
Checking the smartwatch again, only fifteen minutes were remaining, and the waiting was getting to her.
’Diamond, where are you?’ she wondered worriedly.
As she struggled internally, she raised her head to check any incoming cars. Since she was parked in the only parking lot reserved for the guests coming to the exhibition, she would be able to see if Diamond was there or not.
Last time, she saw Diamond’s car, so she was looking out for it whenever she heard the sound of a car approaching.
However, when she saw the car that was coming, despite her thrill of seeing that car in a place like this, she was disappointed, as that wasn’t the car that she was waiting for.
Nevertheless, despite her disappointment, she couldn’t help but look at the car with awe. She had seen the car before and it was an expensive one. Since it was an electric one, the price was ridiculous.
It was also the kind of car that she didn’t see, mostly in cities like her. But if they were to go to Dielas and other major cities, it was most likely to bump into one.
So, being able to see the car in Frin, and knowing that whoever was in that car was also attending the exhibition, Clarissa was very curious.
She wasn’t one to chase fame, but whenever she came across something commendable and worthy of praise; she wasn’t stingy.
So, her curiosity to know who was in the car forced her to follow the car with her gaze and fortunately for her, it parked a few slots from her and just across from her.
Unfortunately for her, she couldn’t see properly who was in the driver’s seat, so the best she could do was wait patiently. And after seeing the driver, she would call Diamond again to confirm where she was at exactly.
However, Clarissa wasn’t prepared for the surprise that hit her the moment the driver exited the car.
"How can it be her?" Clarissa exclaimed in shock as she saw Diamond getting out of the car with the keys dangling on her fingers.
"She .... She is that rich?" she couldn’t help but ask no one in particular as she was busy digesting what she was seeing.
Clarissa knew that Diamond and her family lived in Cherry Court, but for her to own that kind of car that she had not seen anyone in her circle driving and owning, she couldn’t believe it.
As she remained frozen in her seat, completely forgetting that she was supposed to go out and meet Diamond, her smartwatch started vibrating, showing her an incoming call.
Upon seeing the caller, she came out of her stupor and hurriedly answered.
"Hello."
[Um, I have arrived. Where are you?]
"I can see you. Just wait there for me," Clarissa hurriedly answered before hanging up.
After hanging up, Clarissa didn’t dilly dally but exited the car with a sense of urgency but without forgetting her clutch, which held the invitation cards she had brought.
When Diamond arrived at the parking lot, she waited for just a moment before she saw the person she had made to wait.
She felt embarrassed for her tardiness. After all, if she had not overestimated herself and busied herself with spying on her employees, she would have arrived earlier instead of being late the way she was.
"There you are!" Clarissa excitedly exclaimed upon seeing her.
Diamond, seeing that, heaved a sigh of relief. At least Clarissa wasn’t as upset with her as she thought.
Diamond smiled apologetically at Clarissa and held her hands the second the other reached her.
"I am sorry for coming late. I overestimated myself. Who knew that there would be traffic?" Diamond apologetically said.
She was indeed late from the beginning, but traffic played her for a fool again. In the end, she could helplessly take her time until she reached the gallery.
"It’s fine. As long as you are here!" Clarissa cheerfully said.
"Let’s go inside then. We don’t want to be entirely late, do we?" Diamond said jokingly.
"Hehe, we wouldn’t!" Clarissa played along with a chuckle.
The two locked their cars respectively before sashaying their bodies towards the carpet.
[And who are those two?]
[Just take the photos and we will look later.]
[I have never seen that one in burgundy before but that one in blue. She seems familiar.]
[How can you not know her? She is Clarissa, a senior student at Summit University. She is a socialite and famous one.]
[Is that so? I didn’t know!]
[Then look more on social media. You will be enlightened.]
[Forget her. What about her companion? She looks so divine.]
[I will dig into her. I can’t let such a fairy go unnoticed like that.]
The people were dying and going crazy because of the two. Those two were busy waving and smiling towards the camera as they elegantly walked down the red carpet.
Diamond found the experience to be quite enjoyable and memorable. The first time she appeared in public and in such a high profile was when she attended the banquet in Dielas.
She gained a lot of attention back then, and the feeling of being popular was very addictive. It was unfortunate that she had Sullivan to seduce, so she never bothered much with what was happening.
Of course, she later heard from Andrea that all the news regarding her was removed and that didn’t bother her as well.
It was either Kian who had a hand in it or it was the management companies of the other celebrities who were overshadowed by her.
Since it didn’t concern her much at that time, she didn’t dig deeper into it.
However, there was one thing that she had forgotten when she was being ignorant of how powerful social media was.
Nowadays everything is being done through the internet. She could market and bring awareness to a lot of things and all that could be achieved by sitting down, typing a message or shooting a video and letting it spread online.
She had forgotten how that had helped her charity foundation and farm business to get where they were now.
She just registered an entertainment company. How could it go viral in the future if she was afraid of being exposed?
So instead of trying to hide herself, she might as well just enjoy the moment. Later, when everything was done, she was going to open another account.
She didn’t want her old account to be bombarded with people who would disturb her social life. That account would be used to promote herself and any other business that she owns.
As she signed her name on the wall, Diamond made a firm decision.
’I am going to be a famous internet celebrity. Just watch me!’
