Chapter 155: Chapter 153

The next morning, Diamond woke up with a smile on her face. Despite sleeping late, as the dimensional space was so intriguing to her that she couldn’t go to sleep, she managed to wake up early.

As usual, she went for a morning jog where she ran two laps around the court.

On her way back to her villa, she came across Kisha, whom she hadn’t seen in a very long time.

"Good morning, Diamond. It’s been a while," Kisha greeted her warmly.

Diamond wasn’t one to ignore others, especially people who knew how to bring money to her.

So, despite Kisha’s absence ever since that night, Diamond returned the greetings warmly as if she wasn’t holding a grudge.

"It’s been a while indeed. How are you?" she asked with a smile blossoming on her face.

"It’s been pretty hectic. It’s the year’s end and all that!" Kisha sighed ruefully upon recalling how tight her schedule was.

Diamond sighed softly as she also recalled what December was like for everyone. It was even bad for people who worked for others.

She couldn’t help but think about her employees. Everyone was busy as bees and the thought of working like that also. She couldn’t help but shiver.

She wanted some rest.

"It’s that time of the year. There is nothing that we can do about it."

Kisha chuckled softly, relieved to see that Diamond didn’t seem to hold a grudge against her and was talking to her normally.

"Anyway, I just came out of a jog myself and when I saw you, I thought I should say hello."

"That’s good. I am glad to see you, too."

"Now that I have seen you, I want to know if there is something available!" Kisha said with anticipation all over her face.

Diamond didn’t need to ask to know what Kisha was talking about, as she already knew what she wanted.

"Um. You can find me tomorrow. I have twenty bottles, so if you want them, just come and get them. I will be gone for holidays on Wednesday, so just inform your friends," Diamond said as she increased the number of creams she was going to sell.

She was going to be away for about two to three weeks. She didn’t know when she would be returning, so it was wise for her customers to buy the creams before she left.

"Oh! That’s a lot. Don’t worry, I will inform them and get back to you tomorrow morning," Kisha excitedly said.

Diamond smiled back at Kisha. After all, this was money that was about to grace her account. How could she be rude?

After having a chat with Kisha, Diamond finally returned to the villa where she went to the top floor where her bedroom was.

Diamond wasn’t in a rush, as she wasn’t going to work that morning. The art exhibition that Clarissa invited her to was starting around eleven, so she had a lot of time to play around with.

She soaked in the bath and enjoyed every second of it.

After taking a bath, Diamond picked some loungewear in her closet and wore it. She wore some flip-flops before leaving the bedroom for the ground floor.

Although she wasn’t going to work, she wanted to have breakfast with the girls. Meals were one of the moments when everyone gathered and just had a wonderful time together.

When she arrived downstairs, she found the girls already seated and chatting happily. They all wore blue jeans with the foundation’s t-shirts.

For the foundation employees who worked in the field, Diamond didn’t mind them wearing casual the way the girls were. Even for those who were in the office, as long as they wore like that, it didn’t matter. What she didn’t like was them dressing like that during important meetings. That wouldn’t look good on her or the foundation as a whole.

When the girls saw her, they greeted her respectfully, and she didn’t forget to return their greetings. Soon after, Janet served breakfast, which was rice porridge, fried eggs and stir-fried vegetables.

There was a jug of freshly squeezed juice on the side as well.

The four of them ate their breakfast, and Janet didn’t sit with them. She was busy doing something else.

After breakfast, Diamond sent the girls away and watched them leave. It was quite refreshing to not be leaving with them, but actually remaining at home.

Diamond didn’t linger on the lower floors but went to her bedroom. Since she was going to an art exhibition, she needed to dress for the party.

As she looked through her closet, which was mainly the one that she mainly uses the other private one was filled with rare clothes that were too scary for her to wear at the moment.

Besides, if she were to wear anything from the second closet, she was afraid of overshadowing the host and that would make a bad impression.

While searching for something to wear, Diamond didn’t forget that despite all her achievements, she was still a young woman and one who hadn’t turned twenty-six yet.

Her birthday was just a day before Valentine’s Day and accompanied by the fact that she looked younger than her original years due to the pills and the cultivation running rampant inside her, Diamond more or so looked twenty-two years old.

And she wanted to look that part. There was no need for her to try to look mature, as that would only attract her to older women.

She had seen that with Cecilia and Rita. And with how she parted on not-so-good terms with Rita, Diamond just wanted to befriend people her own age. And dressing the part would be of great help to her.

So, she brushed aside any formal dresses that would make her look her original age or mature and went for something fun and more casual, at least from what she was seeing in her closet.

In the end, she picked a burgundy midi bodycon dress that she knew would accentuate her curves. After having her body detoxified, modified and renewed like a phoenix that went through nirvana, her body structure was just perfect.

She picked a dress with a v-neckline so a piece of jewelry was needed.

She chose a tear-drop black diamond and matching drop earrings. Instead of stilettos, she went for wedges. They seemed to be much more comfortable to her than thin heels.

She picked a black minaudiere clutch to finish off the look.

After setting aside the outfit for the day, Diamond went to the study, where she started going through her mailbox.

One of the emails she found was from Nancy, who wrote to her in detail the current progress of the quotation and, according to her, the quotation should be in her mailbox by the following day.

There were other marketing emails which she didn’t bother to open, as she found no need to do so.

After checking her inbox, Diamond took more time to check the employees’ recordings that Andrea does daily. However, instead of checking everything, she just checked what Andrea had highlighted.

It was fortunate that so far, none of her employees was so bold as to have other thoughts, especially in regard to her money.

By the time she was done doing all that, it was already around half-past nine and the clock was ticking.

Alarmed by how time had flown, Diamond returned to her bedroom, where she took a quick shower before she started dolling herself up.

She checked herself in the mirror and felt very good about herself.

"Andrea, take a few photos of me!" she instructed as she struck a few poses.

[Sure.]

Moments later, Diamond looked through her phone with satisfaction. Obviously very satisfied with the pictures that Andrea had taken.

"Thanks, son!" she happily said.

[You are welcome.]

After scrolling through the photos, she picked a few of them and sent them to the group that belonged to her, Kian, and Sullivan.

She then put her phone on sleep mode as she hurriedly left the room.

With less than ninety minutes to drive herself to the destination, Diamond was in no mood to respond to her lovers.

Janet respectfully sent her off, and Diamond happily waved the older lady goodbye.

Diamond didn’t pick the Angel XI or the usual SUV, but went for the Pia EV6 SUV sports car she recently received and only drove once during a test drive.

The car was majestic, and she wanted to show off.

And since she was in a hurry; she was also not in the mood to drive herself, so she had Andrea take over.

While Andrea drove for her, Diamond was on the call with Kian. Unfortunately, Sullivan was so busy that he didn’t have time to respond to any texts, which was normal. After all, he was quite famous.

And when it comes to making money, Diamond didn’t like imposing on others or stopping them from doing so.

It wasn’t like they would live on love. It was rare for a relationship to properly last when there wasn’t any money.

And since Kian was there to entertain her, Sullivan could wait until he was free to chat with her.
