SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 150 - 148
Chapter 150: Chapter 148
Diamond flashed a smile at Ruby when she inquired about the caller.
"It’s Clarissa. She just invited me to an event," Diamond responded without hiding the truth from Ruby.
When Ruby heard that, her eyes lit up.
"How is she?" Ruby asked curiously.
"She should be fine. You guys didn’t talk?" Diamond asked curiously as she stared at Ruby suspiciously.
Ruby dejectedly shook her head before saying, "We haven’t. you know how bust we have been."
Diamond nodded her head in understanding. After all, she knew exactly how crazy it had been for everyone at the foundation, especially with the holidays coming.
"Okay. When you have time, just communicate more. You will be attending the same school after all," Diamond said concernedly.
She didn’t want Ruby to be a loner. She wanted Ruby to have several friends who could actually help her when she was in dire straits.
Although Ruby had made some friends, it didn’t hurt to have more.
Ruby grinned at her sister and forcefully nodded her head. "Don’t worry, big sis. I will talk to her more."
The four of them finally received their food and started eating with relish.
After the meal, the four of them left the restaurant and went to the car, where they stored all the shopping bags inside.
After doing that, they returned to the mall where they went to watch an hour-and-a-half movie that got them tearing up. It was a romantic comedy, and it was filled with madness from the beginning to the end.
After enjoying the movie, the four of them passed by a café, where they purchased some iced Americanos to cool themselves down as they left the mall.
There wasn’t anything much that interested them anymore in the mall, so they decided to go for the next course.
By the time they left the mall, it was around three in the afternoon. Diamond wasn’t planning on going somewhere far but to a nearby entertainment Centre.
At that Centre, the four of them played all sorts of games and had fun to the fullest.
After playing for an hour or so, Diamond excused herself and went to the restroom to freshen up.
Standing in front of the mirror, Diamond admired herself as she washed her hands while humming a soft tune.
[Ding! Do you want to sign in?]
[Ding! You have been rewarded with a Moonlight Lounge black card.]
’What the ....?’ Diamond couldn’t grasp what she had just been rewarded.
She stopped washing her hands and removed her hands from the tap, making the tap close automatically.
Diamond retrieved the card from the inventory and looked at it with relish on her face.
Although she wasn’t sure what this black card could do, she knew that it was something special. And since it was special, she needed to know what it does as quickly as possible.
So, without further ado, she took out her phone from her pocket and quickly searched the Moonlight Lounge.
Shortly after doing that, the results popped on her screen. She began to read the results and an amazed expression appeared on her face.
Moonlight Lounge was a VIP club that was only accessible to members. The lowest membership subscription, which happened to be the ordinary membership, was around A$200,000, and this amount didn’t include any services provided by the club.
Moonlight Lounge provides entertainment services, restaurants, massage parlors and accommodation.
It was more of a mini-hotel for the rich people and provided the best security. That’s what she could find. Seeing all that, she couldn’t help but be curious about the club.
There weren’t a lot of places where she could meet the rich folks. It was a good thing to make connections, and most of these rich people had more knowledge and broader networks than her.
She had only been rich for eight months, while those people had been rich for much longer. As long as she associates herself with some of them, Diamond knows that some of her worries might be solved easily.
The black card was one of the rarest membership cards that could be given to anyone. It wasn’t about money or fame. Honestly, the person who wrote the review didn’t even understand what criteria they used to give a person the black card.
Whatever the reason it was, Diamond couldn’t wait to find it later. She had become one of the cardholders and couldn’t wait to find out more about what it could do.
But to see that, she would need to visit the club another day and experience the goodness of the place.
From Cherry Court, the club was twenty kilometers away. It was built on the outskirts of Frin and occupied a huge piece of land. The owner dedicated a lot of resources to build the club.
Just looking at the photos on the website, Diamond already was in love with the place.
Diamond shortly left the restroom since there was no reason for her to linger anymore inside. As she exited the restroom, another person bumped into her.
Before she could say anything, the other person hurriedly apologized, giving Diamond a good impression of the other.
"I am very sorry. I was in a daze and didn’t look where I was going!" a young woman apologized anxiously as she repeatedly bowed towards her.
Diamond stretched her hands towards the young woman and caught her. Although it was a good thing that the other was apologizing, it wasn’t like she was the only one at fault.
She also didn’t want to look like a bully. She didn’t come all the way to play to be caught up in a drama.
Diamond smiled at the young woman, emitting gentleness, putting the other to be in a daze.
"It’s not just your fault alone. I should have also looked where I was going." Diamond didn’t try to put on any airs but said gently.
"You ... I, you don’t blame me?" the young woman asked disbelievingly.
Diamond chuckled softly upon seeing her reaction.
"Why should I make things difficult for you? I should also apologize to you," Diamond said sincerely as she held the other’s hands in hers.
The young woman blushed upon being treated like that.
"You ... um, my name is Selena. And you?" Selena asked shyly as she dodged looking at Diamond, though she didn’t retract her hands from Diamond’s grasp.
Diamond beamed upon hearing Selena’s introduction.
It’s been a while since she heard someone telling her their name without any ulterior motives. The last time someone did that was when she met the twins who wanted to cause trouble for her.
Fortunately, she was able to disarm them and make them obedient, otherwise who knows what trouble they would have brought to her in the end?
"I am Diamond. It’s nice meeting you, Selena," Diamond told Selena her name.
Selena mustered her courage and boldly looked at Diamond in the face and blurted unconsciously, "You are beautiful!"
"Hehe, thank you and so are you!" Diamond returned the favor with a smile on her face. Obviously happy to receive a compliment.
"Um, ah, if you don’t mind, can we exchange contact details?" Selena stuttered as she hesitatingly asked while looking at Diamond with anticipation.
Upon hearing that, Diamond readily agreed as she reluctantly let Selena’s hands go.
They were not only small but very soft as well. She could tell that Selena had never suffered in her entire life and that meant that her family was quite good.
She was, however, curious to know why Selena seemed to suffer from low self-esteem. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be so scared of looking at her. She was also a girl, so why act as if she was facing a beast?
Diamond passed her expensive and modified phone to Selena, who took it without hiding her astonishment.
Diamond watched as Selena input her number before returning it to her.
Diamond saved it as Selena in her contacts before making a call. Shortly, Selena’s phone started ringing, and the girl saved her number as well.
"Just call me when you are free!" Diamond said smilingly as she stashed her phone back in her pocket.
Selena shyly looked at her, but this time she had a happy smile on her face.
"I will. Do you mind if I call you big sister?" Selena asked, stars sparkling in her eyes.
"Hehe, what makes you think I am the big sister?" Diamond asked teasingly, finding Selena’s thinking process to be very cute.
Selena was stunned and panicked after hearing that.
"Ah ... I am sorry. I ... am I the older one?"
"Hahaha!" Diamond couldn’t help herself but burst into a peal of laughter.
"How can you be so cute?" Diamond teased happily as she reached out to flick Selena’s forehead playfully.
Selena held her forehead as she looked at Diamond with astonishment before a smile spread across her face.
"It won’t matter. I will call you big sis!" Selena stubbornly said with a pout.
