Chapter 147: Chapter 145

"The three-storied building. I want to use it as a laboratory for my other company. The first floor will be where most experiments will be done. So whatever designs you come up with, make sure that they incorporate that."

"As for the ground floor, turn it into a reception, restrooms and a resting area for the staff. And lastly, on the second floor, that place will be offices. You have worked with me before and know what I like, so look into that."

When the person in charge heard of Diamond’s requests, although she was anticipating to hear some crazy demands, she was stunned.

Last time she was busy turning an eleven-story building into something else and now she was going to renovate a laboratory. Just what kind of bigshot did she associate herself with?

"Okay, that can be done. But for the lab, that might take a long time. Also, it might be costly. Is there anything that you want to change?" she cautiously asked, as she didn’t want to offend her company’s major client?

Diamond shook her head as she found her demands not that much. In fact, she could spice them up, but that would defeat the purpose of what she intended to do in the first place.

"Keep it that way and don’t worry about the costs. As long as you offer me the best, I will be willing to pay. Of course, that is only if you aren’t to rip me off. Play tricks behind me, then you will kiss our cooperation goodbye," Diamond threatened softly as she looked at the lady with a smile on her face.

The lady smiled as she looked at Diamond reassuringly. "We will never do something like that. Trust us."

"It’s because I do trust you that I am here again," Diamond said as she brushed the topic aside.

"As for the five-storied building, there will be two companies operating there. I want the ground floor to be renovated into a reception with restrooms and the like. The first floor will be an office area and ..."

Diamond began to explain in detail what she wanted. After making the three-storied building into the D&B cosmetics company playground, she turned the five-storied building into the offices for her micro-lending business and the trading company.

The micro-lending business would take the ground and first floor. With the first floor being the offices and since money was involved, she wanted the top-notch reinforced doors. The same doors she wanted for the fourth floor as well.

Diamond Trading Company would use the second to fourth floors. The second floor would be the reception, restrooms and resting area for the staff.

The third floor would be turned into an office area, while the fourth floor would be used as the trading area. That floor would need a lot of security and airflow. There would be a lot of computers there and other hardware equipment needed to trade.

Diamond explained slowly to the manager in charge of her account and on the side, Nancy was jotting down notes.

The reason she brought Nancy with her was so that she would know what she was up to and later take over. In the future, Nancy would be in charge of making sure that the renovations were completed fully.

And when Nancy and the manager thought that Diamond was done, she took out another file, and it was of the villa she purchased.

Just like before, she told the manager what she wanted to be changed regarding the house. She mostly emphasized the garden. She wanted to make the garden to suit her taste more.

The gardens at Cherry Court were good, and it pained her to remove them. Besides, the flowers were expensive, and she felt it a waste if she were to destroy the garden to plant some new flowers.

The manager, whose name was Lisa, recorded everything faithfully as she looked at Diamond with a worshipping gaze.

In less than a year, Diamond had brought a lot of money to her company and, thanks to her, her position in the company was raised. How could she not serve this Buddha well?

It took a while for Diamond to be done, but when she was done; she felt lighter. The renovation issues had been weighing on her for a while now. And now that she had given the issues to the company, all she had to do now was wait for the quotation and get the job started.

Nancy and Lisa exchanged numbers. Since they would be dealing with each other in the future, they might as well get acquainted earlier.

After agreeing with Lisa, Diamond and Nancy left the offices.

Instead of returning to Cherry Court, Diamond drove Nancy to Greenbay apartments. Nancy had brought her suitcase with her, so there was no need for her to return to the villa with Diamond.

With the shopping mall very close, Diamond wasn’t worried about Nancy at all.

When Diamond walked into Nancy’s apartment, she was amazed by how neat it looked. Everything was arranged well, and the place looked amazing.

The fridge was even stocked with food, and so was the pantry. It seemed that Nancy had everything covered and Diamond, seeing that, felt at ease.

With such an organized PA, her life would be much smoother now.

"Your job now will be to liaise with Lisa and provide her with everything that she wants. In the next few days, show her the buildings and the villa. She will know where to go as long as you tell her. Get yourself acquainted with Frin, and when I have more chores for you, I will tell you."

Diamond didn’t have much for Nancy to do besides the renovations. The renovations were quite important to her, so she wanted Nancy to deal with them.

Once the renovations started, she would give Nancy other things to do. In the meantime, she was going to let the other get familiar with that first.

After telling Nancy everything that she wanted, Diamond left the apartment block with a smile on her face.

She had seen more people entering and leaving the block. And the more people visited, the more money she would be receiving later. Who didn’t love money?

Diamond drove back to Cherry Court, and the girls weren’t at home. So, she spent her time in her studies, where she was busy reading some business management books.

Instead of being a brainless rich lady, she might as well equip herself with some knowledge. That way she would save face if she ever finds herself in a precarious situation in the future.

Around six, Diamond’s study was interrupted as she received a phone call. When she checked the caller ID, a smile blossomed on her face as she placed the book on the desk.

She hurriedly swiped the screen to answer and put the call on loudspeaker.

"Hello, mom!" she exclaimed with happiness as she answered.

[Hello, my baby!] a joyful voice sounded on the other side of the call.

Diamond beamed as she listened to her mother’s voice.

"I am doing well, Mom. How about you and dad?"

[We are doing well. I just wanted to tell you that we will be returning to Athary tomorrow.]

Upon hearing that, Diamond’s smile widened on her face.

She had missed her parents so much. Although she was the one who sent them on a vacation, they had been gone for far too long. And with Christmas nearing, she just wanted to spend some good time with them before everyone got busy again.

"That’s good news. So, are you coming to Frin?" she asked hopefully.

[No. we will be going to Taco. It’s been a while since we have been home. Besides, aren’t you coming for the holidays to Taco?]

When she heard the first part, a wave of disappointment washed over her before it was replaced with anticipation when the second part was relieved.

"Yes, we will still meet. We will be closing pretty soon. So, I guess I can be patient."

[Haha, don’t worry. Me and your father will go and clean the house. When you come, the house will be in order.]

Diamond smiled happily upon hearing that. Her mother was always considerate of her all the time. Where else would she find such a great mother?

"Okay, I will wait and come when the house is clean, then."

[So, child. Have you found a lover yet?] her mother asked, her voice laced with curiosity.

Diamond chuckled softly when she heard her mother’s question.

How could her mother be so cute?

"Um, I found you two," Diamond honestly answered her mother.

She didn’t think that telling her mother the truth would cause her harm. Since she was brutally honest with her parents from day one about her need to give them a couple of sons-in-law, she was going to be honest about it all the way.

[Dee, you .... You weren’t joking?]

Hearing her mother stuttering in shock, Diamond burst into a peal of laughter.

"Mother, since when has your daughter joked with such matters?" she asked her teasingly as she tapped on the desk.

[You ... ahh... they, are they fine with it?]

[She really gave us two of them at once?]

Diamond didn’t just hear her mother asking with difficulty, but her father, whom she thought wasn’t there as well.

"Mother, your daughter is a pretty one and rich. Why should they not be okay with it? I am not the one pursuing others nowadays. As long as they want to be with me, even if I have ten lovers, they can only fight for my favor than be not okay with it!" Diamond said as her lips curled upward.

The tables had already turned, and she was no longer the desperate kid she was back then.

She was now a different person, a hidden bigshot and a person backed by a system. Why did she have to worry about what others think of her?
