Chapter 146: Chapter 144

When Diamond arrived, the other farm workers who were there hurriedly made their way towards her, where they greeted her enthusiastically.

Diamond talked with those workers for a while before Cain arrived. With his arrival, the other workers dispersed, and the two started walking towards the new piece of land that was recently ploughed.

"Ms. Diamond, the fertilizer you gave me is working very well. At this rate, I can tell you that the plants will be mature before February," Cain excitedly informed Diamond as they walked.

Diamond nodded her head in appreciation, but her face didn’t carry that excitement she always had whenever she heard something that good.

"Ms. Is there anything bothering you?" Cain asked worriedly upon seeing that there was something wrong with Diamond.

Diamond sighed deeply as she looked at Cain.

Diamond really loves Cain. The man was dedicated to his work, and above all, he never asked a lot.

And having such a person like that by her side, Diamond wanted to keep him and mostly share her worries with him. Especially those that concern the farm.

"I have heard some rumors and it will affect us. Especially us with farms." A concerned expression was on her face as she said that.

Upon hearing that, Cain panicked as he looked at Diamond.

"Ms. What are you saying?" Cain asked worriedly as he stopped in his tracks.

Diamond shook her head helplessly as worry consumed her, but she still spoke her mind.

After all, Cain would help her greatly, as long as he knew what was troubling her.

"There will be a drought and we need to do something about that."

"What? Is that really serious? Is your source really trustworthy?"

"I wouldn’t joke about something like this, Cain."

Cain inhaled a deep breath as he looked at Diamond, who still had a concerned expression on her face.

"If it’s like that, then we should do something about it," seeing that she was serious, he conceded.

"Then I will leave you to deal with it."

"What do you want me to do? I have already planted on all the land!" Cain asked as he scratched his head.

Diamond smiled softly at Cain before responding, "Apart from planting, you can also buy some grains and all that. Store them in the granary and we will deal with them in the future. At the same time, when other crops are mature, plant some short-term crops. Don’t let any crops go to waste. If there are extras, dry them. People can still eat dried vegetables. You don’t want me to explain in detail about that, do you?"

Upon hearing that, Cain’s eyes brightened as enlightenment dawned on her.

He slapped his thigh with excitement before looking at Diamond with an excited expression.

"Hehe, thank you for explaining. I know what to do. Just leave everything to me."

Seeing that Cain had understood everything, she heaved a sigh of relief.

"If you need money, just tell me. I will support you."

"Don’t worry Ms. I will not let you down."

After telling Cain what she wanted him to know, the two of them went to check on the piece of land she had left Cain to deal with before, and the more she looked at it, the happier she became.

Diamond didn’t check that area alone but also went to other places. Overall, everything was going well and seeing the farm doing so well, Diamond was in a good mood.

Diamond didn’t leave the farm when she was done but went to the farmhouse where she waited as someone prepared a meal for her.

While the meal was being prepared, Diamond was busy checking the red tea recipe she had received.

She wasn’t knowledgeable in pharmacology, nor was she a herbalist, so she didn’t understand much about the scientific names she was reading.

However, the simple steps to make the tea were as clear as day to her, and that made her sigh with relief.

As long as she deciphers those strange names, she would be able to make the tea. And just thinking of having the tea in hand, Diamond was seeing all sorts of possibilities.

It wasn’t about money but about helping the girls and women out there suffering from menstrual pains.

Since she couldn’t understand the names, she remembered that someone else could help her. So, she entrusted the task to Andrea, who busied himself with explaining to her in simple terms as he deciphered the herbs’ names.

With Andrea explaining to her, the recipe started to make sense.

There were a few of them that she knew of, like ginger, cinnamon, and peppermint. Then there were others that even in simple terms, she had never really come across, though according to Andrea; they were very common in Athary.

And they could be planted and raised as well. This meant that if Diamond was serious, she could plant not just the red tea herbs but also the herbs required to make the beauty cream.

Thinking up to that point, Diamond suddenly got enlightened. She would do a side project of planting those herbs, but in the meantime, she would buy them as soon as a team gets assembled.

Diamond checked the other herbs and began to dig deeper into them since she wanted to learn and not just be ignorant about many things.

In the process of learning, her meal finally got delivered. With such fresh ingredients used to make the meal, Diamond enjoyed her meal so much that she was in a good mood.

When she was done eating, it was around three in the afternoon. A lot of time had already passed and Diamond felt that it was finally time for her to leave.

When she left the farm, Cain was reluctant to watch her go after all. He still had many things he wanted to ask her about. Unfortunately, Diamond was in a hurry.

However, she didn’t go home first but went to a forest a few kilometers away from the farm.

Diamond spent two hours in the forest, training her fanning skills. She was very satisfied with the training as she managed to maneuver the fan. And as long as she continued to train seriously, Diamond had this confidence that she wouldn’t need to worry about not being able to wield her weapon anymore.

When she returned home, it was around seven, and the girls were all home. She cleaned up first before joining everyone for dinner.

After dinner, Diamond listened as the girls talked about what they did during the day and, listening to them, Diamond felt that it wasn’t bad to have people at home.

Before going to bed, Nancy informed her that her apartment was ready and that she could start working at any time.

That was the best news that Diamond heard, as she couldn’t wait to pass some of the work to Nancy.

Everyone in Villa Number 3 finally went to bed, but Diamond didn’t go to sleep hurriedly. She sent a few emails first before making a group video call.

It wasn’t long before the screen had two more frames on it. And seeing the identical faces on the screen, all the fatigue overwhelming her vanished.

The next morning, Diamond woke up feeling refreshed, although she slept very late. After chatting with her lovers’, her mood improved and the smile on her face couldn’t be wiped off.

It was a Friday and a day that most employees loved the most. After all, it was the beginning of a long weekend.

Diamond left with Nancy in her car, while Ruby took the twins with her. This time around, they all went to the foundation.

Diamond was planning to introduce Nancy to everyone. After all, she would be the one dealing with most things when she was occupied.

Diamond couldn’t possibly handle everything on her own. And with a human PA helping her, some problems would be solved.

When they arrived at the office, Diamond brought Nancy to her floor, where she showed Nancy another office by her side that was specifically left for whoever would be assisting her.

That morning, Diamond held a meeting where she listened to every department’s report and also took the chance to introduce Nancy to everyone.

The meeting ended late, but she was still energetic. She called the Finance Director to her office and kept the other in her office for nearly thirty minutes before sending her off.

With Christmas less than a week to go, Diamond needed to prepare. All the people needed to go to their homes, and that meant that their salaries needed to be dealt with.

As it was year-end, there were bonuses to be issued, and she talked to the director about that.

After sorting every pending business of hers at the foundation, Diamond took Nancy from the foundation and went with her to a car dealer, where she purchased a car for Nancy.

They gave the address for Greenbay apartments for the delivery of the car before Diamond took Nancy to see the buildings she had purchased before.

After showing her the buildings, Diamond drove to the renovation company she loved using from day one. She had set an appointment before going to bed when she sent the emails, and a response was sent earlier that morning.

When she arrived there, as a big customer, she was welcomed greatly and was taken to the office.

She introduced Nancy to the person who had always been in charge of her and started talking business.

Nancy listened on the side as she watched with awe how Diamond dealt with money issues.

As long as she liked something, Diamond didn’t care about money at all. And that side of hers was still hard for Nancy to fully accept.

She had seen how Diamond had given her an apartment, though it wasn’t in her name to live. It was costly to live there.

As if that wasn’t enough, Diamond bought all the furniture for her and a car on top of that. Just how loaded was Diamond?
