SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 138 - 136
Chapter 138: Chapter 136
[Ding! Do you want to sign in?]
[Ding! You have been rewarded with bottled water *12]
Upon hearing that, Diamond, who was sitting in the business class cabin, couldn’t help but sigh helplessly.
How long had it been since she received such a reward? She had forgotten.
In her storage ring, there were boxes of mineral water that she hadn’t touched yet. It was not like the water was bad. In fact, it was the most delicious water she had ever drunk.
It’s just that something about receiving water just made everything sound funny. Nevertheless, she was looking forward to more rewards.
She was left with fifty-two months, after all.
Diamond stretched her neck as she looked to the other side of the plane and smiled helplessly.
On the other side of the aisle, the twins were sleeping peacefully. Apparently, they were very serious when they talked about following her to Frin.
She thought that they wouldn’t go with her, but when Andrea told her that the girls had purchased the plane tickets and were just next to her, she knew that she was in for a wild ride.
However, she was looking forward to staying with them, no matter how many days it would be.
Christmas was just around the corner with roughly two weeks remaining, and she couldn’t wait for the whole family to reunite.
Diamond doubted that the twins would be with her for long. Every parent wanted to spend the festivities with their children. So, it won’t be too shocking if the girls were to return even in two or three days.
After seeing that the kids were sleeping peacefully, Diamond began to mind her own business.
As she thought about life, she couldn’t help but recall something interesting that happened yesterday.
After being pissed off by Rita, who was taking it seriously to meddle in her business, she wasn’t in a good mood at all.
Diamond, who had not drunk a lot during the trip, was forced to open a bottle of wine and chuck it down her throat as all she wanted to do was forget about everything.
But who made it hard for her to get drunk?
She couldn’t get drunk, so the wine was useless to her, and she was pissed off more.
Just when she was thinking of what measures to take to calm down, she received a call from a number she didn’t know.
Diamond had made it her priority to have Andrea check all unidentified numbers before she answered the calls. So, she asked Andrea to check the number’s owner, and the result was very shocking and intriguing for her.
Just when she didn’t know where to vent her bottled frustrations, a friend had to call her and send her to her door.
Diamond had happily answered at that time and made sure to let her former friend Alaine be in the same mood as hers.
Why should her enemy be happy when she is suffering?
Thanks to Alaine calling her, Diamond had a wonderful night. She even ate a lot of food for breakfast. Even when the twins were being naughty, she forgave them with an open heart.
The thought of a completely pissed off Alaine, Diamond, knew that she would be in a good mood for a very, very long time.
After sitting on the plane for a couple of hours, the plane finally landed at Frin domestic airport.
Frin didn’t have an international airport as the city was considered small. So they could provide only domestic flights.
Just like every passenger on the plane, Diamond and the twins went through the customs and it wasn’t long before they were outside.
Diamond breathed in the warm air of Frin and smiled bitterly.
She looked up to the skies, the skies she was in some moments ago and felt even more bitter. She couldn’t even bother to hide her bitterness that even the twins saw her expression.
"Diamond, is something wrong?" Precious, being the more considerate one, asked as soon as she saw that something was wrong.
Diamond sighed deeply as she looked at the twins and answered, "The rain is refusing to fall. It makes me feel bitter."
Patience was puzzled as to the reason why Diamond was so serious about that issue. And her curiosity got the best of her.
"Why will you be bitter?"
Diamond, upon hearing the question, knew that getting angry at the ignorant kid wouldn’t do. So, she answered patiently.
She was starting to see that the twins were spoiled too much and didn’t know the ways of the commoners. Since they were like that, she was going to do her best to instill some productive common knowledge in them so that they would be responsible beings in the future.
"Do you know what will happen if it doesn’t rain?" Diamond decided to ask first as she wanted to have a starting point, rather than expressing something that might confuse the kids.
"It will get hot. We will get heatstroke and people might die!" Precious answered with a twinkle in her eyes.
Diamond, hearing that, didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. She wasn’t wrong at all, as that would happen. It was already happening but didn’t they also know the most important disaster that might happen because of lack of rain?
"Is she wrong?" Patience asked doubtfully as she tilted her head upon seeing that Diamond looked speechless.
Diamond shook her head with a sigh and answered, "She is not wrong, but that is not the only thing that might go wrong."
"Then tell us. We are all ears!" Patience eagerly urged.
Seeing the twins’ eagerness, Diamond felt better.
However, before she could start explaining to them, her phone started ringing.
She picked up the call with a smile and started talking after a while.
"We will come to where you are in a bit."
After saying that, she hung up the call and urged the twins to follow her.
They were all pulling and pushing their suitcases after that, and the sight was quite spectacular.
The three of them were beautiful, and that was something that couldn’t be argued against.
After walking for seven minutes or so, Diamond stopped as she looked a short distance away.
She shortly noticed the person she was looking for and excitedly waved her hand.
Upon seeing Diamond acting like that, the twins gawked at the person and started to wonder who that person was.
However, Diamond didn’t give them time to ask questions as she urged them to drag their suitcases to where the car was.
"My Lady, you are back!" Janet excitedly exclaimed as she looked at Diamond with joyful eyes.
Diamond smiled at her housekeeper; the woman who had made her life easier from the day she hired her.
"Um, I am back. How have you been?"
"Hehe, everything was well. Second Miss, just missed you a lot!" Janet emotionally said.
Diamond sighed softly upon hearing that.
"I know. That’s why I am back."
Janet also noticed the twins that were standing a short distance from Diamond and was wondering who these girls were.
"Aunt Janet, meet my guests. They will be staying with us for a while at the villa," Diamond said upon seeing that Janet had noticed the twins.
When Janet heard that, her eyes brightened up. Her joy couldn’t be hidden, and the twins couldn’t help but wonder what was wrong with her.
"Welcome, young misses!"
Janet was very happy knowing that. The house didn’t have a lot of people and it tended to be so empty and lonely. The misses were very busy to the extent that sometimes they didn’t even have time to relax and just catch up.
But with more people, Janet doubted if they would do that. The more people, the merrier it was for her.
Diamond introduced the twins and Janet to each other before they placed the suitcases in the SUV that Janet had driven to the airport to fetch her.
Diamond had refused for Ruby to come and fetch her, as she didn’t want her to skip work. Since she promised to work, then she should work and stop getting preferential treatment.
On the way, Diamond introduced the girls to whatever they found interesting, and the drive to Cherry Court wasn’t that boring.
And with the way the twins were curious about everything, Diamond had a great time as well.
After more than two hours of driving, the four finally reached the Cherry Court. And the impression the twins got when they saw the magnificent gates, they both looked at each other in awe.
’She is not as simple as she looked.’
Being born in riches, how could they possibly not understand such luxuriousness?
Their family was rich, but they didn’t live in such a complex with only a few villas.
The fewer the villas, the more expensive the place was.
What they were curious about as the car parked inside the garage was how rich Diamond was. What kind of business was her family doing and who exactly was she?
It felt as if everything they had known in the past one day wasn’t enough. And they needed to know more.
As for what the girls were thinking, Diamond had no idea as she was just happy to be home finally.
The villa was the first home that she ever owned, so she was attached to it greatly.
’Home sweet home!’
