SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 137 - 135
Chapter 137: Chapter 135
In a certain room, dimly lit by the TV playing, two girls were busy lying on the bed as they played with their phones.
POWERFUL FAMILY GROUP
P1: [Mom, we are really serious about this.]
P0: [What do you mean by that? You don’t fully know the other and you just want to tag along?]
P2: [Mom, she is harmless. She should be afraid of us instead.]
P0: [You girls! Do you really like her that much?]
The girls both looked at each other and grinned.
P1: [She is very different.]
P2: [And we are very curious about her.]
P0: [But, aren’t you afraid of her finding out that you have ill intentions?]
P2: [She looks like a forgiving person. Don’t worry.]
The chat continued for a while before the girls threw their phones to the side and burst into a peal of laughter.
"Mom is always the best!" Patience exclaimed happily as she kicked her legs in the air.
"Hehe, she dotes on us. Obviously, she will always support us!"
"That means now we can peacefully follow her without worrying Mom and Dad."
"Yes, indeed, we can. I am curious as to what she is hiding."
"You aren’t alone there. Something about her just seems fishy."
"But she also doesn’t seem to be a bad person."
"Yes. It was quite surprising. She is so young and already owns a charity foundation."
"She is a lucky one."
"Aren’t we all?"
The twins were excited as they talked to each other. After talking to Diamond earlier that day, Diamond had agreed to let them tag along as long as they could take care of themselves.
Although the thought of being ditched by their host didn’t sound fine to them, they were intrigued by the thought of it again.
Diamond was the first person they had ever met who treated them the way she did.
She didn’t bother to know much about them, but she took her time instilling morals in them.
That time they couldn’t even retort as they both understood that she was teaching them. They had wronged her when they first met when she had not done anything. So, getting scolded wasn’t surprising.
What intrigued them during the scolding session was how Diamond pointed out a lot of facts that they had forgotten about.
It made them reflect on their life. They felt sour and privileged at the same time.
Seeing her like that, the twins just wanted to know her more, so they were sad when they heard that she would be leaving the next day.
In order to be with her for long, they decided to follow her and observe her at a close range.
After their favorite idol, Sisi, who was very famous in Strawford, became invisible after Diamond walked the red carpet, they held a vendetta against her.
They wanted to know who Diamond was and what kind of connection she had with Kisha, their idol’s nemesis.
In the entertainment industry, it was normal for celebrities to dislike each other. And this was usually caused by clashing. Either they all got auditions for the same role and one got it while the other didn’t.
Another is more popular than the other, so the other one hates the other. And maybe the fans just love fighting to the extent that the fanbases would become huge enemies that whenever they came across each other, disaster would follow.
That was more or so the case with Sisi and Kisha.
So, when the twins saw that Kisha brought Diamond, whom they didn’t even know who looked so pretty and dressed luxuriously, they were curious about her.
Most importantly, they wanted to expose her fakeness and redeem Sisi’s loss of exposure. But who would have known that Diamond wasn’t a person to be trifled with?
They hadn’t heard or seen any other person looking for Diamond, and the other knew how to spend well.
Through their conversation, they also learnt about her charity foundation and that was enough for them to accept fully that Diamond was rich.
If she wasn’t, why would she run a foundation that only knew how to bring money out without bringing in any profit?
So, they were curious. They wanted to know and find out more if there were other things that she was hiding.
Apart from that, Diamond was friendly and a lovely person to hang around with. They both liked her and just wanted to spend more time with her being treated like human girls.
They were tired of being surrounded by scions who knew nothing but flattering. Even the girls only wanted benefits but weren’t even sincere towards them.
It was lonely at the top, and they were used to it. However, after being with Diamond for a day, they realized what they were missing. They didn’t want to go home at all.
While the girls were busy enjoying themselves and looking forward to tomorrow, in a certain room, Alaine was having a headache.
"Damn! Where is that vixen?"
She was so angry at the thought of how she failed to find Diamond, even after taking several stairs at a time earlier.
"I knew that I saw her, but where exactly is she?"
The hotel was simply too huge and there was no way she could search it all.
Besides, she wasn’t a VIP, and that made it even harder for her to look for the information that she wanted.
So how was she supposed to find her?
While she was beating herself for that, her phone, which had been silent for a while, began to ring.
Alaine looked at the caller ID and frowned a bit upon seeing who was calling.
"This leech! Why is she calling me again?" she asked with undisguised disgust written all over her face.
If there was one thing, she hated the most; it was a person who loved latching onto others for benefits.
Once that kind of person sticks to you, it would be impossible to remove them.
And the person that was calling her was exactly that kind of person.
However, this particular person wouldn’t just call for no reason, so despite her reluctance, she still picked up the call.
"What is it?" she asked coldly as soon as she picked.
[Sister Alaine, how are you?] the other asked fawningly.
Alaine scrunched her face upon hearing that.
"Just get straight to the point. I have other things to deal with!" Alaine mercilessly rebuked the caller.
[Okay, Sister Alaine. I heard that you are in Dielas!]
"Um, what about it?"
[Diamond is also there. I just received a call from a friend of mine. She said she spotted her at Ace Hotel. Did you perhaps manage to bump into her?]
"No, and why should I bump into her? Are we friends?"
[No, I don’t mean it like that. It’s just that if you wanted to see her, I have a way.]
Upon hearing, Alaine’s eyes brightened up with interest. She wanted to see that vixen so desperately, but she just couldn’t find her. She didn’t even have her number at all. But she just couldn’t call those leeches for it.
She didn’t want to look desperate at all.
"And why would I even go to such great lengths for her? If you have no business, I will hang up!"
There was no way she was going to let the other know that she was desperate for a way to see Diamond.
[No, don’t hang up. I will send you her current number. You can try here there, just in case you want to see her. But my friend told me that she looks very different and rich. Whatever you do, be careful!]
After saying that, the caller hung up first.
Upon being hung up on, Alaine was so infuriated that she felt as if she had been stomped on.
"How dare she?"
Who was that leech to do that to her?
And what was that all about her being careful and whatnot? Since when did she need to be careful when facing shameless people who rely on selling their bodies for benefit?
Once that beauty fades, did she even think that she would still shamelessly sway her body everywhere?
However, she still couldn’t deny the fact that she was desperate for Diamond’s number. Even if she fails to see her, she might be able to harass her and give her a scolding.
Diamond was always afraid of getting scolded. She loved her face and with time; she became cowardly. Alaine didn’t believe that Diamond would change overnight.
There was no way something like that would happen, never.
As she pondered over that issue, her phone dinged and she saw the message icon on the screen.
A sly smile appeared on her face as she clicked on the icon.
LCH: [74****00, that’s her number. Unless she changed it.]
Seeing the number, Alaine was over the moon. Last time she felt it beneath her to ask Queen for Diamond’s number. She didn’t want that shameless girl to have one over her. Theresa was even worse than the Queen.
And yet, without her asking for the number, someone volunteered to give it to her on a silver platter.
Since she had gotten the number, Alaine, who was feeling anxious the whole day and even got more agitated after failing to catch up to Diamond, dialed the number straight away.
"Ring, ring, ring."
"Ring, ring, ring."
"Ring, ring, ring."
The more she listened to the call not being answered, the more fury she felt.
"How dare she not answer my call?" Alaine was simply so angry as she felt ignored by Diamond, who wasn’t answering her.
After listening to the call ringing for a while and when she thought that the call was about to go to voicemail, the call was answered.
[I have been waiting for your call, friend!]
