Chapter 127: Chapter 125

SRAD CITY

"Are you a fool?" a scornful female voice suddenly sounded in the dimly lit room.

"Big sister, you should have seen that person. She was so damn arrogant. How was I able to win against her?"

"Heh! Even if it’s like that. Who taught you to be so shameless and lose my face in front of so many people?"

"Sister ... I .... She provoked me first!"

"Eliza! How many times have I told you to retreat if you can’t beat the enemy?" the other woman angrily scolded as she looked at Eliza, who was now facing on the floor.

"Didn’t it occur to you even for a single second that you were being targeted at the very second? Instead of using that brain of yours, you happily fell into the trap that someone had set for you!"

Eliza raised her head and looked at her sister sadly.

Why was she reprimanding her like that?

If it wasn’t for her, would she have suffered so badly at that time?

Besides, why was she only bringing the issue now after so many weeks had passed?

The more Eliza looked at her sister, the more frustrated she became.

"Do you feel that it is unfair?" Eliza’s sister scoffed as she looked at Eliza’s expression.

Eliza didn’t dare to respond. She knew her sister very well and no matter how much she felt that it was indeed for her to suffer like that, she could only swallow her grievances.

"Humph! I guess that she must have found a supporter."

Eliza raised her head once again as she looked at her sister.

"Alaine, I thought so when I saw her. I don’t think that it’s her money that she was using at all!" suddenly Eliza’s expression brightened up as she recalled the day that she was humiliated greatly in the shopping mall.

Alaine scoffed as she thought of that pitiful and delusional girl who called herself a friend. Did she think that she would stoop so low to befriend a nobody and a gold digger like her?

She was born for greatness and there was never a day that she allowed anything or anyone that she fancied to slip away from her fingers.

Even if that person or item belonged to someone close to her. Alaine knew that she was the type of person who would do everything to snatch it away and make it hers.

So, what if she snatched her friend’s man? Since she was able to succeed, it meant that she was stronger than her.

If a woman couldn’t even protect her man, what was the point of even being in a relationship? The woman might as well just stay and sleep at home rather than go around wasting resources.

"What you told me before, was that the only thing she told you to tell me?" Alaine calmly asked as she looked at Eliza.

Eliza pondered for a while as she recalled everything that had happened that day.

"Um, that was all, but from the way she looked at me, I could tell that she would appear again. Sis, should we do something?"

Alaine laughed heartily upon hearing her sister.

"Why should we do something? Since she wants to avenge herself so much, she will appear again," Alaine said disdainfully as she played with her nails.

Eliza tilted her head as she pondered why her sister was that confident.

"You don’t have to concern yourself much with this. I will be leaving for Dielas tonight. Make sure that you behave yourself properly and don’t fight with those that you can’t. Do you understand me?"

Eliza didn’t have a choice except to agree with everything that her sister had just said.

Seeing her being so obedient, Alaine was very satisfied. What she wanted was a worshiper and someone obedient to her. Just because they were blood sisters didn’t mean that she had to pamper the other.

As long as Eliza helped her to do some miscellaneous jobs that didn’t require her full effort, Alaine didn’t mind spending money on her.

Her husband was very rich, after all, and she didn’t mind spending the money. Besides, she was operating a famous café in Srad, so money was a problem of centuries ago for her.

After talking to Eliza, Alaine began to prepare for her flight that night.

Her husband didn’t return with her from abroad since he had something else to do.

She also couldn’t stay in Srad, as she wanted to visit the capital to deal with a few issues and at the same time meet a few friends of hers.

However, when she thought of Diamond, who had embarrassed her little sister so much, she couldn’t help but feel her bile rising.

She hated Diamond so much that until now; she had not met anyone else. She loathed the way she did towards Diamond.

Logically speaking, Diamond had never done anything wrong with her. However, Alaine just hated her from the very second she was put in the same four-bedroom with her.

There were two other roommates, however, they were never a problem for her.

Diamond wasn’t considered pretty back then. She was average and plain-looking. She was ambitious and knew where to fish the big fish.

And seeing the methods that she wanted to use to get a better taste of life, Alaine felt that Diamond was a lowlife.

Apart from that, Diamond was well-loved by her family, despite being mediocre.

She was yards apart from her. She was beautiful, well-learned, serious and hard-working. And yet she couldn’t win against an average-looking girl, who barely passed her exams and only thought of hooking up with a rich boyfriend.

However, since they were in the same room, it was inevitable to become friends. All she needed to do was to benefit from the associations Diamond had. Diamond was popular despite her misgivings.

And following her wasn’t that bad. That was what she found out as they became closer.

As Diamond wished, she successfully managed to hook up with a rich boyfriend, and that was when Alaine’s hatred for Diamond levelled up.

He was so damn rich and yet he just saw Diamond, whom he couldn’t properly take out.

After watching that relationship from the sidelines for a few months, Alaine became greedy.

Money could change a person’s life, and she wanted that. Tired of seeing Diamond with designer clothes and bags, Alaine wanted that to herself.

Since an average person could do it, why couldn’t she?

Her life in her family wasn’t that good. Her mother preferred her son more than her daughters.

She had to work extra hard to feed her brother’s game addiction all the time. She didn’t have enough money for new clothes or enough food to eat. And all that was because of her mother’s bias.

But what if she were to get money and become rich? Would her mother still continue to trample her the way she had been doing for ages?

She didn’t want to separate from her family at all. She wanted the same people who were so used to looking down on her as if she didn’t matter, to grovel and worship her.

And money was the key to doing that.

Her university was mediocre, to begin with, so she knew perfectly well that it would be hard to get a good job in the future.

It was also around that time that she finally understood Diamond’s logic in finding a golden sponsor to make her life easier.

Why make herself suffer when she could rely on a powerful and rich man and enjoy?

It wasn’t like what would be required of her would be hard. She just needed to please him and make sure that he remembered her among all the lovers that he had.

However, she didn’t want to start fresh and look for one. There was already someone in her vicinity that she was interested in and that person was Diamond’s boyfriend.

To cut a long story short, she successfully snatched Diamond’s man and dated him behind her back.

Nearly everyone knew about their relationship, but the dimwitted Diamond had no clue about it.

Nut on that fateful evening, she exposed her relationship with her husband and successfully humiliated Diamond.

Remembering Diamond’s dumbfounded expression and how shocked she was, Alaine felt happy every time.

Thanks to that humiliating event, Diamond was never seen anywhere in Srad again. And that was exactly what she wanted. She knew that Diamond after experiencing something like that wouldn’t linger.

Besides, she didn’t have any backing, so she wouldn’t come back for any revenge. That day was deemed to become her terror and trauma. So, she was very confident about it and gradually forgot that she ever existed.

Alaine successfully grasped her husband in her hands and made him completely hers.

Over a year ago, the two of them finally tied the knot and her dream came true. Who cared about what she did back then?
