A soft and melodious voice filled the room, as Diamond sang as she followed the music being played on the radio.

She was in a very good mood and didn’t know how to let it all out.

So many wonderful things were happening to her and the best way to celebrate all that was to be happy and sing it all out.

To think that when she was raking her brains on how to meet with Sullivan, Kian became a matchmaker and sent him to her.

Not only that, but Sullivan also sent himself to her door. How could she not be happy with how fast everything was going?

That wasn’t the only good news for her that day. Nancy was dropping by later to sign the employment contract and then later she would be having dinner with Rita.

It seemed that her trip to the capital was worth it this time, and she was thrilled with all the benefits that she had received and would be receiving in the future.

Upon hearing the daily reminder, Diamond signed in without hesitation.

Upon hearing the reward, Diamond, who had been singing, suddenly went silent.

’What is this?’ she thought bewilderedly as she tried to make sense of what she had just received.

She had received some good stuff before but mind enhancement pills. Now that was something new and something that she felt she needed the most.

Without further ado, since the system didn’t bother to explain more to her, she claimed her reward.

Shortly after, Diamond was holding a familiar jade bottle, which she naturally opened, releasing a medicinal fragrance that was very enticing and soothing to the mind and soul.

’It smells good!’ she complimented as she fished a white pill out of the bottle.

’If I take this, does that mean that my mind will be enhanced?’ she pondered as she took the pill into her mouth.

Diamond’s eyes bulged as the pill melted in her mouth. She felt the familiar energy spreading the medicinal properties all over her body. The divine heavenly art that worked twenty-four hours a day was already doing its work and helping her to utilize the medicinal effects properly.

Upon digesting the pill, Diamond didn’t feel any negative effects that she used to experience after taking some other types of pills.

She couldn’t sense the difference, but she was confident that the pill had indeed taken effect and all that she needed now was to test how good she had become compared to before.

And that would require some serious reading and analyzing, as that was the only way that she thought of that would make her see if there was any difference between now and before.

After taking the pill, Diamond, who was afraid of overdosing, placed the pill bottle in her storage ring.

"Andrea, how far are you with the security company?" Diamond asked shortly after storing the bottle away.

[It’s going well than expected.]

"So, how long will it be?" Diamond asked as she looked at herself in the mirror.

[By Friday, all procedures will be completed.]

Upon hearing that, Diamond sighed with relief, "That’s good, then."

As long as it wouldn’t take long, Diamond was very willing to wait.

After getting an update from the security company, Diamond finished what she was doing before the system appeared.

When she was done, she received a call from Betty, who informed her that her guest had arrived and that they were coming to the suite. Diamond acknowledged the guest and waited for Nancy and Betty to come to her.

When the two ladies finally arrived, Diamond was busy flipping through the contract that Andrea had made. All that remained was to get both parties to sign and then Nancy would be working for her after that.

After dropping Nancy off, Betty left to run an errand that Diamond had given her.

With Betty gone, Diamond and Nancy talked for a while as they summarized the roles and responsibilities that Nancy would take from the moment that she signed the employment contract.

Nancy was fine with everything, so the two signed the contract and Diamond welcomed her first assistant. And that was something worth celebrating about.

Diamond would be returning to Frin, in three days, so there wasn’t much for Nancy to do for her whilst they were still in Srad.

And since Nancy was living in Nerton, she needed to prepare and move to Frin. So, it wasn’t fine for her to start working straight away.

After signing the contract, Diamond sent Nancy away after setting an appointment with her for Tuesday. She would finish the rest when they met there.

Nancy was fine with everything, so she didn’t quibble but readily agreed.

After that, Nancy left the hotel, leaving Diamond to herself again.

Diamond was left with meeting Rita for dinner since she had met Nancy already and she was looking forward to the meeting.

An hour later, Diamond left her suite wearing a black and white peplum dress with a pair of chunky heels.

Waiting for her in the passage was a beautifully dressed Rita. Rita was more mature than her, which was acceptable as Rita was way older than Diamond.

Rita was wearing an orange-column evening dress and pumps. She had also adorned herself with pearls, making her look elegant and graceful. She was a beautiful scene worthy of being seen and admired.

"Big sister, you look pretty!" Diamond praised heartily as soon as she saw the stunningly dressed Rita.

Rita’s face blossomed with a smile upon hearing that. Which woman hated receiving praise?

"You look exquisite too, dear. You keep on amazing me!" Rita complimented with emotionally.

Looking at Diamond sometimes made her heart ache. She was young, pretty, and rich. When she heard how old Diamond was before, she was taken aback as Diamond didn’t look the part.

But when she thought of how maybe soon, she would be looking younger thanks to Diamond’s beauty cream, her sourness lessened.

"Hehe, I have just started!" Diamond teased as she stuck her tongue playfully at Rita.

Rita chuckled softly upon seeing how playful Diamond was being. Seeing her reminded her of her children. It’s been a while since she saw them and she was starting to miss them dearly.

"I can tell."

Seeing Rita in a good mood, Diamond was the same as well. Since they were both ready to roll, Diamond enthusiastically pulled Rita with her.

Earlier, she had sent Betty to prepare dinner for her. This time, she had reserved a private room, as she didn’t want to share the room with others.

There was a lot of juicy gossip that she wanted to talk with Rita, and being in a public space would not be suitable.

With Betty leading the way, everything went very smoothly, and it wasn’t long before Diamond and Rita were busy playing with the cutlery.

"Didn’t you order a lot of food?" Rita asked as she scanned the table full of food.

Diamond flashed a small grin at Rita and answered, "It’s just fine. I am a heavy eater, so there won’t be any waste."

Rita paused in the middle of cutting the juicy steak that she was salivating to eat as she looked at Diamond.

"You can finish all that?" Rita asked in disbelief.

Diamond nodded her head in acknowledgement and answered, "Hehe, I am the reincarnation of gluttony himself!"

Upon hearing that, Rita looked helplessly at Diamond, not believing a single word she had said, and resumed cutting her steak.

Diamond smiled at Rita and started digging into her food. Since the other didn’t believe her, she was going to use her actions to prove it.

When they were eating, Rita became more shocked and surprised.

’It seems that she wasn’t lying when she said that she is gluttony!’

The sight of Diamond elegantly sweeping the food from the plates was simply too unexpected and memorable for her.

Looking at Diamond’s figure and the food, Rita was overwhelmed by envy again.

’You can eat so much like that and yet maintain a body like that!’ It just didn’t make sense to her at all.

’The little girl has secrets and as long as I keep her close, I might benefit.’

As a person who had seen the world and ate more salt, her observation skills were pretty good.

She couldn’t find anything of worth about Diamond, which was very disturbing. Either she was a criminal or a descendant of some secret families that didn’t want their lives to be affected.

And thinking up to that, Rita wanted to benefit a bit by sticking around. She really liked Diamond a lot, so it was another bonus.

Diamond didn’t know what Rita was thinking about but swept the food from her plates until her belly was full and round.

After having dinner, the table was cleared, and a bottle of Grenache was served.

The two began to drink the wine as they talked. Since they didn’t do a lot of talking during dinner, they decided to go all out.
