SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 116 - 114
Chapter 116: Chapter 114
Kisha couldn’t wait to show her friends about the person that had changed her life.
Ever since she started using the cream that Diamond sold to her, a lot of changes happened to her.
Instead of diluting the cream as Diamond suggested, she used the first bottle raw, and surely the results were amazing.
She didn’t know what kind of allergy she had or what kind of skin illness she contracted some time ago, but what she knew was that she couldn’t expose her skin.
She had to hide her skin so much it was starting to feel uncomfortable for her. As an actress and celebrity, there were times when she needed to show some skin and yet due to her skin, she was more of a prisoner.
If her fans were to know about that, she was afraid that she would lose them. Although she had gotten rich over the years, she had been working in the entertainment industry; she had gotten to where she was because of them.
And what they loved about her was her appearance. If she were to get sick with some unknown illness, she was afraid of the consequences.
Fortunately for her, she met Cecilia, who enjoyed bragging so much that she ended up knowing about the cream that Diamond had sold to Cecilia and her friends.
Knowing that Diamond had such a life-changing cream, Kisha knew that she needed to grasp the opportunity and get it, no matter what.
Her determination caused her to approach Diamond and get what she wanted in return.
Luckily for her, after using the cream, her skin returned to normal, and it even became much better than it was before.
Seeing her skin, her friends in the circle were curious and wanted to know who sold her what and if what she was using was available.
Her friends weren’t pretentious or insincere. They were real, and the group had been close for a couple of years.
The entertainment industry was hectic and so many things could happen in a single day. For men, it was better compared to women and if one wasn’t strong; it was possible to get doomed in a second.
Scandals and false accusations were enough to bury a celebrity to the extent of ending it all.
However, if one were surrounded by friends who are supportive all the time, life would become more bearable.
And Kisha’s friends had always been there for her, even when things were bad. Since she had gotten something nice that didn’t require one to do cosmetic surgery, Kisha was happy to introduce her friends to Diamond.
At least there was no risk of getting the goods today, and then tomorrow the seller would vanish. Diamond lived in the same complex as her, so it was a safe bet.
Diamond was also looking forward to meeting these female celebrities, who would be fattening her wallet very soon.
Diamond was eye-catching and her effect spread to both men and women.
So, when she and Kisha entered the room, all eyes were suddenly on them and that attention and spotlight on her made Diamond feel like everything she had done was finally getting appreciated.
After spending twenty-five years without receiving so much attention as she was getting, Diamond was greedy for more.
By appearing in such a place, Diamond understood that she would be in the limelight and her photos would be posted online. Although they won’t be able to find much regarding her background, she could successfully say that she had debuted.
On the way to where Kisha’s friends were, Diamond maintained a polite smile on her face as Kisha introduced some of the celebrities who were busy doing their things.
That was the first time that Diamond was surrounded by famous people who often appeared on TV. And she felt very honored.
It wasn’t long before the two of them reached the table with four pretty ladies who dressed beautifully.
"Kisha, finally you are here!" one of the ladies dressed in pink pouted as she said.
Kisha beamed at the lady and said teasingly, "P, you started!"
"Hehe, if I don’t, who else will?" P, teased back as she shifted her gaze to Diamond who hadn’t said a word.
"Okay, stop it. Let me introduce you to my date!" Kisha said excitedly as she looked at Diamond, who was standing by her side.
The girls’ eyes brightened upon hearing that, and they all looked at Kisha with urging and imploring eyes.
"Girls, meet Diamond, the wonderful lady I told you about before," Kisha introduced before continuing, "and Diamond, these four are my friends."
Kisha introduced the four by name. Diamond looked at each lady as they were introduced.
"It’s nice meeting you guys!" Diamond finally said when the introductions were over.
"The pleasure is all ours."
"Indeed. We have been waiting to see you finally."
"We heard only the good things about you."
It wasn’t long before the ladies started flattering Diamond, and the scene was quite peculiar.
Even Kisha was shocked at how eager her friends were, but she didn’t feel repulsed by that. She was very happy as she knew how much her friends and even other females would go crazy to get such an opportunity.
"I am happy to see you, too. And don’t worry, I will help you solve your problems as long as you trust me!" Diamond assured with a smile as she looked at the five of them.
"That’s a relief then."
"Let’s meet later to discuss this in detail. We wouldn’t want anyone to eavesdrop on us."
"That’s true. Some people’s way of finding entertainment is just horrible."
Diamond also agreed with them about that, as she didn’t want to discuss business in such a venue.
After setting business aside, the five celebrities began to ask Diamond questions in a friendly manner, as they wanted to know more about her.
Diamond answered as best as she could since she wanted to make friends and broaden her circle of friends.
Fortunately, she got along with everyone during the process.
Around half past seven, everyone was seated, and the banquet everyone had been looking forward to finally commenced.
Diamond didn’t truly understand what was going on, as she had never bothered herself much with the entertainment world. Even the rewards she received of the scripts or songs from the system were stashed away and if wasn’t for the banquet, she would have completely forgotten about them.
However, one thing that she learned as she listened to several achievers speaking at the podium was how underachieved she was when it came to literacy.
She had billions in her account, but her brain seemed to be very empty. She wasn’t serious about a lot of things, as she took everything for granted.
Ever since she got Andrea; she had become so lazy that at times she was too lazy to answer her phone personally.
All the people who were sitting in the hall, wearing expensive clothes and giving speeches, were people who had worked so hard to be where they were.
Whether they used their connections, slept their way to climb the ladder, or used other malicious means to get what they wanted, they put in a lot of effort.
But what about her? Apart from assigning duties to others and letting Andrea do all the work, what had she really done?
She was sitting on top of a mountain of gold, but because the mountain looked raw from the outside, and she was too lazy to dig and give it a try, she wasn’t seeing it.
With the number of scripts and songs she had in possession, if she had sold them or opened her own studio or agency, she would be rolling in money by now.
Although she had money, it didn’t hurt to earn money from working hard.
The beauty cream was in demand and yet, apart from hoarding what she already received; she wasn’t doing anything at all.
She had not received a recipe for the cream after eight months, and because of that, she had been too relaxed.
Instead of using the billions she had in her possession to open a research center and let them look into the ingredients and make her own cream, she just thought of crazy ideas that didn’t require labor.
The more she sat there and pondered about the gifts she was wasting, the worse she felt for herself. She felt as if she wasn’t worth all the praise that she was receiving.
Even Ruby was working way harder than her. She was learning daily and all that knowledge wouldn’t be lost.
But what about her?
Apart from dodging work and thinking of getting laid, she wasn’t serious at all.
Instead of listening carefully to the rest of the speeches, Diamond forced herself into a self-counseling session where she bared her soul open and analyzed just where she was wrong.
And the list was endless.
At the end of the inspection, she concluded.
’I need to resume my studies!’
