Chapter 107: Chapter 105

Diamond spent the day with something new to play with. And it was mostly creating several groups that could be accessed by either a certain company, department, or everyone as a whole.

At the moment, there was the foundation, the farm, and the grocery store selling the products from the farm.

So, she spent the remaining of the day creating private and public groups for the three.

Before knocking off, she signed in once again and received a box of water.

Diamond left the foundation with Ruby driving behind her, and the sisters happily returned to their home.

Back at home, villa number 3, Diamond, after dinner went to her bedroom where she started to check on the list that Andrea had sent to her earlier when she was busy creating groups.

It was the list of potential personal assistants who could work with her.

She started going through the list and reading the information that Andrea had dug up on them.

She only asked for a capable person, and yet Andrea dug into everything about them. With additional information, Diamond found the process of selection more meaningful and easier.

Everything that would make her doubt in the future just in case something crops up was already dug out.

People weren’t perfect and so wasn’t she. She could tell that the five people that Andrea had picked for her were all good, despite having their weaknesses.

However, it was unfortunate that not a single one of them was staying in Frin, so she needed to either go to where they were or call them over.

However, she was tight on time. She needed to be in Dielas by Thursday for the banquet. And Darica loved going earlier since she didn’t want to be restless and be caught unaware.

Since she had never been in the capital before due to many reasons, Diamond wanted to leave early and tour around first before attending the banquet.

She didn’t want to look like a country bumpkin when mingling with top socialites and influential figures.

Due to that, Diamond was determined to leave the next day in the afternoon. That way, she would have at least a full day to herself before meeting with Kisha in Dielas city for the banquet.

However, she didn’t dare to delay picking a candidate. The more she delayed, the more the potential candidates might be stolen by other people as well.

So, she picked the one she liked the most. The candidate looked prettier than others, was much younger, and above all, didn’t have a lot to hold her down.

She wanted someone dedicated, without a lot of drama, and that woman was perfect for her.

"Andrea, contact this lady. Tell her that I am interested in working with her. If she still wants a job, tell her to meet up with me in Dielas on Wednesday," Diamond instructed. "Also, send her the address of the hotel where I will be staying."

[Okay, I will send her the details.]

"Good, then."

After dealing with that assistant issue, Diamond was finally free to go to bed and take her well-needed rest.

The next day, Diamond woke up early as she always did and had breakfast with Ruby.

After breakfast, the sisters left for work, following each other.

When they arrived at the foundation, Diamond summoned Ruby to her office and the little girl merrily followed her.

Sitting inside her sister’s office, something she had not done in a very long time, Ruby began to look around. At the same time wondering why her sister wanted to see her when she could have just talked to her at home.

"Sis, why am I here?" Ruby curiously asked as she looked at Diamond doubtfully.

Diamond clasped her hands together as she looked at Ruby with a smile on her face.

"I have something good that I want to show you," Diamond cheerfully said.

"Oh! What might it be?" Ruby’s curiosity was piqued upon hearing that.

Diamond unclasped her hands and picked up her phone on the table. She clicked her screen several times before a chime was heard on Ruby’s phone.

"Check your phone!" Diamond urged Ruby.

Ruby didn’t wait any moment longer, as she hurriedly fished her phone out of her jacket’s pocket.

She held the phone in hand, unlocked it, and clicked on the file that Diamond had sent her.

"What is it?" she asked as the file started installing.

"A very special app," Diamond vaguely responded, doing her best to keep the mystery.

Seeing her sister acting like that, Ruby was even more curious. What was her sister hiding from her like that?

Anyway, she was going to get the answers she needed as soon as the app was installed. However, the curiosity was killing her.

"Come on!"

"No, I won’t tell you!" Diamond was adamant about rejecting Ruby.

In the end, Ruby sulkily waited patiently until the app was installed before she began to explore it.

"Hmmm, the name is great. I have never seen it before!" Ruby praised as the name of the app flashed right in her face.

"It’s unique, isn’t it?" Diamond asked boastfully as she looked at Ruby with twinkling eyes.

Seeing her sister boasting like that, Ruby began to have a foreboding feeling that her sister was somehow related to the D-Angel app she was just opening.

And since Diamond wasn’t planning on telling her, Ruby decided to explore and learn more by herself. Her sister would still tell her in the end.

Just like when Diamond first explored the app, Ruby was amazed by what she saw. The more she looked at the functions of the app, the more she fell for it.

After browsing for a while, Ruby raised her head and looked at Diamond with worshipping eyes.

"Sis, tell me. Where did you get this?"

"Huh, do you like it?"

"I love it. This is so perfect!" Ruby exclaimed excitedly as she looked at Diamond with anticipatory eyes.

Diamond grinned happily upon seeing Ruby’s reaction.

If Ruby liked it, then that means that others would love it as well.

"Hehe, it’s an app I developed. Every employee will be using it, especially when it comes to work-related business," Diamond finally answered the question that was haunting Ruby the most.

"Sis, you.... this is perfect! When can we start using it?" Ruby was eager to start using the app.

"I will have everyone at most have it by today," Diamond answered.

"Can I send it to others?"

"Haha, you want to quicken the pace?" Diamond asked, amused by Ruby’s eagerness.

"Hehe, you can say so."

"Hehe, then I am afraid to tell you that can’t be done. Only a special link can be used by one person and it is tailored for that person. So be patient, my dear sister."

Ruby pouted sulkily upon hearing the complicated process of installing an app. However, after contemplating for a bit, she lightened up.

"Fine, I will wait until everyone has it."

"That’s my sister!" Diamond praised the little girl that she adored greatly.

"So, sis, you are still leaving today?" Ruby asked curiously.

"Umm, I am. Already missing me?" Diamond teased Ruby.

"Hehe, no. I am not missing you. Just don’t forget to bring me some good things from the capital." Ruby stuck her tongue at Diamond as she said that.

Diamond chuckled softly upon hearing that. "Fine, I won’t forget. Now go and work," Diamond said as she chased the relaxed Ruby from her office.

"Okay, okay, okay. I am leaving. And don’t forget to tell me when you are leaving!" Ruby said as she stood on her feet.

Diamond smilingly watched as Ruby left the office while humming a tune and she shook her head.

"School will be very interesting. I can see it already," Diamond chuckled softly, thinking about that.

With Ruby gone, Diamond instructed Andrea to send a broadcast email to every employee of hers except for the ones at the farm. As some of the employees didn’t have any phones at the farm, Diamond wanted to deal with them later when she returned from Dielas.

After doing that, Diamond made calls to several departments informing them about the emails she had just sent.

She was worried that they might ignore the emails, especially when they were busy dealing with other things.

With the calls made and emails sent, Diamond held another impromptu meeting with the heads of the department as she explained to them how they would be using the app and everything that they needed to know.

After explaining, demonstrating everything, and even showing them the private groups that they would be using in the future with their respective teams, Diamond finally called it a day.

As she was taking a flight in the afternoon, she needed to get ready and make sure that she wouldn’t miss a flight.

Instead of leaving by herself, Ruby followed her back, making her speechless with her little sister’s thinking process.

’If I had known that she wanted to dodge work, I wouldn’t have told her that I was leaving!’

Diamond regretted it, but it was already too late to cry over spilled milk.
