"That’s true. People don’t just lend a hand for nothing. Which is why I want you to tell me what you are good at. I can provide you with a job and that will be my way of helping. You provide for your family and I get myself an employee," Diamond explained.

Ma Terry looked at Diamond, trying to read the other.

And from the way everything had sufficed until now, she could tell that Diamond wasn’t there to dupe her.

She must really just want to help her. After all, if she wasn’t a nice person, she would have just abandoned her back then, but the others didn’t.

She didn’t want to judge early, so she decided to see where everything would go first before deciding.

"I can do farm work, and house chores," Ma Terry truthfully answered.

She didn’t know how to do other things, but doing those two; she was confident about them.

Diamond scratched her nose after hearing that.

"I can work with that. I have a few farm worker positions available at the moment. So, if you are interested, then tell me, and I can help you out. However, that will be the only help that I can give you right now. There is a nearby school in the area so your children can go there. And if you are serious about work and you are diligent, I will see if I can find you a better job. What do you think?"

Ma Terry was listening attentively as Diamond spoke. Honestly, she wasn’t so confident regarding what she was hearing, but after hearing the whole thing; it started making some sense.

"This ... umm... do you mind if I think about it?" Ma Terry didn’t want to be haste, so she asked, hoping that Diamond wouldn’t rush her as well.

"Sure, I am not expecting you to give me an answer quickly. After all, this is your life and future." Diamond found it reasonable.

It would surely be suspicious to just follow a stranger without having more information.

Diamond smiled at Ma Terry before starting to explain in detail about the kind of work she would get if she were to take on the job.

After making things clear to Ma Terry, Diamond saw that it was getting late, and it was time for her to leave as well.

She took out several money bills from her wallet and handed them over to Ma Terry.

"You don’t really have to do this!" Ma Terry said as she tried to reject the money from her.

"Just take it and use it to buy some food and clothes for the children," but Diamond insisted since there was no way she was going to leave and sleep well knowing that Ma Terry and her kids would be eating those yellowish vegetables for dinner.

After insisting for a while, Ma Terry finally took the money from her.

Diamond also left her contact details to Ma Terry, just in case she decided to take on the offer and leave the place she had called home for a very long time.

Diamond waved at Ma Terry cheerfully and called out, "It was an honor to see you and I wish you well, no matter what choice you will make."

Although Diamond was a bit disappointed that Ma Terry didn’t take up on her offer quickly, she still drove away merrily, as she was happy that her decision to take a drive had managed to save a mother and children from peril.

It was around four when Diamond was driving on the highway back, and she couldn’t wait to get there and rest.

Diamond stopped scrolling at applications starting with d and with a brief look, she managed to find the app that Andrea was talking about.

"Let’s see what’s in there!"

Diamond was looking forward to seeing what Andrea had done for her this time. She wasn’t knowledgeable in a lot of things, but she knew pretty well that Andrea was good at anything that he did.

All she wanted was a social media app that would be accessible only to her employees.

The app should have at least the basics that would allow them to interact freely, without the fear of being hacked or monitored by giant technology companies.

Although Andrea would be monitoring them once in a while since he was in charge of developing the app. However, they would be safe from other prying eyes.

So, she was looking forward to seeing what the app has to offer.

She clicked on the app and the first thing that greeted her was that beautifully designed ’D’ that made her heart flutter and made her mouth widen with excitement.

She knew what that ’D’ meant, and that was her. The fact that an app was developed with her in mind, she was loving the app already.

Just like any other messenger app she had seen and was using, the app that she finally found was named D-Angel and had a messaging function that allowed the user to send texts, record voice notes, and make both audio and video calls.

There was also a forum on the app that allowed users to make threads, post photos, or any type of content that they wished to upload.

The users could have private chats, calls, or group chats. The app could also be used to hold meetings, keep notes, and do many other things.

It was a combination of several social media app functions made into one and, to her; it was just perfect.

Although the number of users would be limited, Diamond could already foresee how famous D-Angel would be in the future. Especially among the employees that were working for her.

She wanted to put everyone together and let them be united as one, rather than be alienated.

Since they all belonged to one family, Diamond wanted them to have that comradeship.
