She Asks for a Divorce Again
Chapter 324: Meeting

Chapter 324: Chapter 324: Meeting

At that moment, it was evening, and the winter sun was setting, casting a blood-red remaining glow that cast the shadows of a family of three on the ground.

Simply looking at the shadows, one could feel the sweetness and happiness of the family.

Shen Heyu, seeing this scene, unexpectedly felt some warmth in her heart. She gradually realized that Pei Yansi’s gentleness was slowly conquering her.

This was not what she wanted.

How could she let go of what happened six years ago so lightly? She told herself to stay calm, to be rational, and not to sink into this.

Pei Yansi didn’t deserve it.

Thinking this way, she had already followed him into the living room.

In the dining room connected to the living room, the table was already filled with food, and the old lady, sitting at the head of the table, said with a cheerful smile, "It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you two so close."

In fact, she had never seen it before.

Years ago, their marriage was in name only, and there had never been a sweet moment in front of her.

When Shen Heyu returned to the country again, although Pei Yansi had suddenly come to his senses, she was unwilling to deal with him.

This was a first.

Especially since they now had a daughter, it seemed even more like a family of three. As the old lady happily watched them all seated, she continued with a smile, "If you add another one and give Yuexue a companion, it would be even more perfect."

Hearing this, Shen Heyu’s face flushed as she said, "Grandma, we don’t have such plans yet."

The old lady was about to say something when Pei Yansi interrupted, "Not necessarily. After all, who can be certain about the future?"

His words startled Shen Heyu, who quickly turned to look at him; they had never talked about having a second child.

But it was an unspoken understanding that she absolutely disagreed with it.

At that moment, Pei Yansi’s face was expressionless, and his phoenix eyes cold. Noticing her looking at him, he casually looked back and served her some food as he asked, "What’s wrong?"

"Nothing." He was clearly taunting her knowingly. Shen Heyu, feeling irritated, lifted her foot under the table, attempting to kick him.

Unbeknownst to her as if the man had grown a third eye, just as her foot lifted, she felt her thigh tighten, easily controlled by his hand.

His hand caressed her thigh, applying just enough pressure to thwart her retaliation, all the while becoming slightly restless.

Noticing him touching her leg with their daughter and grandmother nearby, Shen Heyu panicked and warned him with her eyes.

But Pei Yansi just smiled warmly at her, staying oblivious to her warnings, his hand becoming even more audacious.

"Just eat well," Pei Yansi said nonchalantly while pointing with his chopsticks at the food in her bowl.

It was what he had just served her.

Shen Heyu glared at him, "Don’t go too far."

Her voice was so low that only the two of them could hear; the old lady was busy serving her daughter and talking to her.

She didn’t notice their interaction.

Pei Yansi smiled in response, "What am I doing? Going too far?"

While speaking, his hand daringly moved further up her leg.

Shen Heyu was so nervous that she abruptly clenched her legs together, trapping his hand at her knees, preventing any further movement.

With his hand stuck at the bend of Shen Heyu’s knee, unable to advance or retreat, Pei Yansi stared deeply at her. He didn’t continue to tease her but leisurely continued his dinner.

Shen Heyu glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, noting his scholarly demeanor and genteel attitude, like a graceful and refined gentleman. His dining manners were especially elegant.

Who knew that this man was so filthy behind closed doors!

Shen Heyu couldn’t stand him and hastily ended the dinner.

She quickly returned to the bridal room, and Pei Yansi followed her in.

He embraced her from behind, buried his head deeply in the nape of her neck, inhaling her scent, and said, "Are you still feeling shy?"

Shen Heyu was overcome with embarrassment.

Her face flushed red; she struggled but did not move away from his embrace, and, annoyed, she said, "Who’s feeling shy, you are the shy one, let me go!"

"No," Pei Yansi’s voice sounded almost coquettish, which left Shen Heyu stunned.

It took her a moment to collect herself.

By the time she came to her senses, he had already taken her to the couch.

He leaned over her, his voice filled with laughter, "Alright, it’s me who’s shy."

After speaking, he didn’t give Shen Heyu a chance to reply and sealed her lips with his.

...

They spent a passionate night together. Having abstained for several days while waiting for her to recover from illness, Pei Yansi indulged himself a bit too much, and the next morning, Shen Heyu could hardly get up.

She lay in bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, hearing the sound of water from the bathroom, and thinking about last night’s madness with Pei Yansi, which filled her with regret.

She began to doubt whether her decision was wrong, agreeing to many things to prevent him from going public with their relationship.

Including not leaving him.

Now, it seemed like she was at a loss. Yet, if he forcefully hosted a wedding and made their relationship public, possibly her chances of leaving in the future would be even slimmer, wouldn’t they?

After all, that would essentially brand her with Pei Yansi’s label.

Lost in her thoughts, the sound of water in the bathroom stopped. Pei Yansi, towel-drying his hair, came out and said, "Aren’t we supposed to go to the madhouse today?"

Shen Heyu nodded, but she felt drained.

Noticing her discomfort, Pei Yansi sat beside her with a smile and said, "You can rest a bit more, and if you lack strength, I can help you dress."

Initially indifferent, Shen Heyu felt embarrassed by his words, her face turning red, she immediately refused, "I don’t need it!"

Pei Yansi chuckled softly but didn’t push further. He simply said, "Well, let’s see if you need it later."

Eventually, Shen Heyu gave in.

She indeed lacked strength, but she had to meet Shen Jiangli today.

To clarify all the doubts in her heart.

Pei Yansi helped her get dressed and even volunteered to do her makeup.

Watching him pick up her makeup brush, Shen Heyu felt nervous, "Are you sure you can do this? I hardly trust you with it."

Pei Yansi smiled and said, "Don’t you trust your man?"

Her face flushed at his words, Shen Heyu replied indignantly, "What nonsense are you spouting!"

Despite her denial, her cheeks reddened. Pei Yansi didn’t elaborate further, smilingly sitting in front of Shen Heyu, earnestly doing her makeup.

Considering she was meeting Shen Jiangli, he didn’t apply elaborate makeup, just simply shaped her eyebrows.

Holding the eyebrow pencil, he carefully drew on her delicate brows while Shen Heyu felt the gentleness of his touch. From the mirror, she saw the sunlight bathing them, darkening the room, yet they seemed to radiate with their own light.
