Chapter 281: Chapter 281 Intentional Provocation

Shen Heyu could hardly believe it, she asked, "Is it really just this? No other conditions?"

Pei Yansi nodded, and seeing her serious expression, he couldn’t help but reach out and gently pat her cheek. "What else could I possibly deceive you about?"

Shen Heyu opened her mouth to say something but seemed to think of something and immediately shut her mouth. However, her cheeks slowly turned red.

Pei Yansi kept watching her, noticing her cues. He slightly curved his lips, sitting beside her, "What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing," Shen Heyu hastily shook her head in denial and lowered her gaze, not daring to meet his eyes.

She was scared that the depths of her heart had been perceived by him.

What she was thinking was, if she really went back with him, it certainly wouldn’t be just going home simply; what if he wanted to do those despicable things to her...

But then she thought again, they were legally husband and wife, so if it really came out, he certainly would have his ways of dismissing it.

In any case, when it came to that sort of thing, she definitely couldn’t refuse him.

Thus, she remained silent.

Pei Yansi had already seen through her but noticed her embarrassment and shyness. He simply smiled faintly, not exposing her true feelings.

Shen Heyu’s shy demeanor always made him unable to resist, as if they were still young as they had once been.

A small matter would always make her blush.

Today’s Shen Heyu was very well-behaved, at least for Pei Yansi, she looked after many matters and more importantly, a medicine Shen Jiangli had given her made her more proactive.

Though he didn’t want to admit it, Pei Yansi had to say. This Shen Heyu, he really found difficult to resist, hard not to like. Being satiated by her, the initial "I" in his heart completely dissolved, and he was more willing to offer tenfold patience towards her.

He tenderly rubbed Shen Heyu’s head, as if comforting his beloved pet, "I’ll go make dinner."

Shen Heyu, still thinking about the things she was pondering earlier, felt somewhat uneasy to meet his gaze, her heart beating wildly inside. She eagerly nodded, wishing for him to leave quickly.

Pei Yansi, despite her resistance, leaned down and kissed her, then left their bedroom.

In the living room, seeing their daughter sitting on the sofa watching cartoons, Yuexue excitedly ran up and hugged Pei Yansi’s legs, cooing and clamoring, before finally letting go after asking about him and Shen Heyu’s whereabouts.

Pei Yansi’s shoulder was still injured, but it seemed not to affect his movements; his figure in the kitchen, despite being busy, remained orderly and steady.

Shen Heyu came out of the bedroom just in time to see him wearing an apron, folding dumplings.

As if sensing her, Pei Yansi suddenly looked over at her, "You woke up."

Shen Heyu, sitting next to her daughter, feigned dissatisfaction, "You ask, knowing already."

While speaking, she walked into the kitchen and stood next to Pei Yansi, watching him intently make dumplings. His cooking skills were good, his craftsmanship fine, with his slender fingers flipping skillfully, and soon a plump white dumpling appeared between his fingers.

Shen Heyu pulled over a chair and sat beside him, "How can you do all this alone?"

She spoke, glancing at the pots and pans nearby, and the many dumplings Pei Yansi had already made.

She looked at him, a tall man in the kitchen, yet his doing these tasks didn’t seem out of place, but rather charming.

She looked at him with a somewhat softer gaze.

Pei Yansi smiled and said, "All you need to do is wait to eat."

He had mostly lived alone before, doing many things by himself, and was very adept at these household tasks. Especially now during the Spring Festival, when dumplings symbolized reunion, his actions had a personal motive.

Seeing his mysterious smile, Shen Heyu stopped asking and was about to turn and leave, but Pei Yansi reached out a hand to hold her back and said to her, "Stay here with me."

Shen Heyu, somewhat disdainful, glanced at him. "You need me to keep you company just to make some dumplings?" When had he become so clingy?

Pei Yansi nodded, his foot stealthily moving to close the kitchen door, blocking their daughter’s view from the living room.

Shen Heyu watched the door close and sensed something was amiss. Sure enough, the next second Pei Yansi put down the dumplings, his arm stretched over, pressed her waist, and pulled her into his embrace.

"What are you doing!"

Shen Heyu was startled and struggled in his embrace for a moment. However, the man was unmovable, and her meager strength felt futile against him, which only made him tighten his grip.

He effortlessly pulled Shen Heyu into his arms.

"Don’t move," Pei Yansi whispered in her ear, "Just one kiss."

While saying this, he gently licked Shen Heyu’s earlobe.

It was just such a small action, but Shen Heyu felt her entire body go soft; one hand reached back to brace herself against the counter behind. Her other hand reached out, pressing against Pei Yansi’s chest, trying to resist him.

Pei Yansi noticed her reaction and said with a mischievous smile, "You’re very responsive."

Thinking of her daughter still in the living room, and Pei Yansi so blatantly doing this to her, Shen Heyu became angry, raised her foot, and savagely stomped on the top of Pei Yansi’s foot.

Yet Pei Yansi showed no sign of pain; instead, he looked at her smilingly, his expression deepening. Then he bent down and drew Shen Heyu into the small space between him and the counter, kissing her lips recklessly.

Shen Heyu gave a soft grunt, her breath stolen by him.

Pei Yansi fiercely pried open her lips, conquering and plundering her mouth.

"Mommy!" Their daughter’s voice came from outside, startling Shen Heyu. She urgently reached out, forcefully pushing against Pei Yansi.

Besides their daughter’s voice, there was no other sound; she hadn’t come over. Pei Yansi could tell, and so, with the intention to stir Shen Heyu’s emotions further, he slightly released her, his voice hoarse with lust:

"Why are you so flustered?"

He looked at Shen Heyu’s lips, luscious and swollen from his kisses, his gaze growing even more intense, and his finger lightly traced over her lips.

Such a Shen Heyu, how could he easily let go? No matter what, she should be by his side. What Shen Jiangli wanted to do was practically audacious provocation at his lowest limit.

Pei Yansi was determined to make him pay a price.

Shen Heyu didn’t know what he was thinking but only knew that his gaze was becoming increasingly fearsome. Fearing her daughter might run in, she ultimately relented, saying:

"Let me go, let me out, don’t do this."

"Kiss me once, and I’ll let you go," Pei Yansi said with a beaming smile.

Shen Heyu took a deep breath.
