Chapter 275: Private Collection
Chapter 275: Chapter 275: Private Collection
Shen Heyu forced herself to perk up. She turned her head to look at Shen Jiangli sitting beside her, who appeared fully focused on driving as if he hadn’t noticed anything amiss.
Shen Heyu asked nervously, "Have you taken the wrong road?"
"No."
Shen Jiangli answered succinctly. How could he possibly take the wrong road? The place he was taking her to was long in preparation.
All this time, he had been there alone many times, etching the road’s details into his memory, making it impossible to make a mistake.
Especially when it came to Shen Heyu, he had waited for this day for far too long. Today was the perfect opportunity. He had to take her with him and make her his private possession.
Otherwise, all the efforts he had put into his time with Han Manyin would be in vain.
He had dealt with Han Manyin just for this day, to deceive Shen Heyu to come out and then take her away.
Unfortunately, Shen Jiangli hadn’t yet realized that his feelings for Han Manyin had deteriorated.
Shen Heyu didn’t listen to him. Despite her groggy awareness, she could tell that the road outside wasn’t leading to her neighborhood. It instead appeared as if they were getting onto the highway.
Moreover, not heading back to the city they had come from.
It was another city, unfamiliar to her, one she had never visited.
She reached out to open the car door and forcibly jump out, but at that moment she discovered she couldn’t muster any strength at all.
Lifting an arm was extremely difficult.
Suddenly, she realized something was wrong and turned to Shen Jiangli, "What did you put in that glass of juice?"
"Nothing," Shen Jiangli denied, focused on the road ahead.
But Shen Heyu would not take his word for it.
She felt completely drained of strength, and worse, a heat began spreading through her body, aware of the abnormal changes happening to her.
She was no longer the naive little girl, of course understanding what such changes implied.
Shen Heyu couldn’t believe that he would do something so disgusting to her.
She vaguely realized that if she let him take her away from Jiang City, what might happen afterward.
...It might be surveilled and possessed to a more terrifying degree than with Pei Yansi.
At least Pei Yansi allowed her to leave the house, as all his paranoia stemmed from wanting her by his side.
But that wasn’t the case with Shen Jiangli.
The more Shen Heyu thought about it, the more frightened she became, particularly since Shen Jiangli’s mental state began showing signs of trouble after he had hit Han Manyin.
She couldn’t bear to imagine what might happen next.
"Stop the car..." Shen Heyu said weakly, realizing that she didn’t need to go to the hospital and that it was all because of that cup of hot juice.
This time, Shen Jiangli didn’t answer her, instead continuously increasing the car’s speed.
He was getting anxious, sensing Shen Heyu’s condition worsening and concerned that if it continued, her body might suffer.
"You stop the car, Shen Jiangli... After so many years of friendship, do you really want to destroy it all in an instant..." Shen Heyu managed to speak, lacking any real strength, but was still able to unbuckle her seat belt.
Finally, she unlatched her seat belt, turned to try to climb over to Shen Jiangli’s side, and stop him from continuing to drive.
He reached out, grabbed Shen Heyu’s wrist firmly, and warned in a commanding tone, "Don’t make trouble; it’s dangerous on the road right now."
He held down her hand, forcibly pressing it against his body, freeing his other hand to drive.
Shen Heyu couldn’t listen to any of it any longer. She just wanted him to stop the car and not to follow him.
Especially now, the place where Shen Jiangli was holding her hand was a very private area.
Even through the thick pants of winter, she could feel the changes in his body, enough to instill fear and panic.
But disgust was the overwhelming feeling.
Such matters have always been very private. The closer the person, the more revolting it feels. After so many years of friendship, they were almost like family to each other.
Shen Heyu felt so nauseous she almost vomited.
She wanted to pull her hand back, but Shen Jiangli wouldn’t let her, gripping her tightly and breathing more and more heavily.
"Heyu, don’t move; we’ll be there soon."
Shen Jiangli’s voice was husky, laden with desire. He did not head towards the highway but turned onto a smaller path and drove into the outskirts of the town.
Shen Heyu had no idea where he was taking her, her heart filling with increasing panic, and no matter what, he refused to let go.
In her urgency, Shen Heyu couldn’t help but let tears of fear fall from her eyes as she pleaded softly, "Please, stop the car, don’t do this, we’ve just been friends all these years..."
"Heyu, all these years, you just thought we were friends."
Shen Jiangli drove the car into the outskirts where there were very few other vehicles and their car sped along the vast road.
He began to indulge himself, unlike in the city where there were many cars, and he greatly increased his speed.
Because of the retreating car’s acceleration, a feeling of dread started growing in Shen Heyu, along with a wave of nausea—premonitions of motion sickness.
Shen Jiangli knew about her susceptibility to car sickness, and reluctantly had to slow down the car. Finally, after another ten minutes or so, they arrived at the destination.
It was in a secluded mountain area, far from the city center. Shen Heyu estimated that it took them almost an hour to reach there.
And the car stopped in front of a grand villa.
The villa looked ancient, but one could tell a fortune had been spent on it. Especially since around it, there were no other houses, just high mountains and dense forests.
The entire villa was surrounded by a mountain range. There was nothing else in sight, of course no other roads or cars.
Upon seeing this, Shen Heyu almost immediately concluded in her heart that once she was there, she would never be able to escape.
Because she had an intuition, much like the Pei Mansion, the vast area nearby was private property.
No one would come by, let alone any other vehicles.
She had no way to leave on her own strength.
Shen Jiangli was the first to get out of the car. He opened the door on Shen Heyu’s side, bent down intending to lift her out.
Shen Heyu was terrified, scooting backward and resisting, "Don’t touch me, don’t touch me..."
"I beg you, don’t touch me..."
Tears fell from Shen Heyu’s eyes.
Seeing her like this, Shen Jiangli also felt uneasy. He suppressed the urge to lose his temper and said to her in a deep voice, "Listen to me, if you stay here with me, Pei Yansi will never come looking for you again."
