She Asks for a Divorce Again
Chapter 273: Pursue Her

Chapter 273: Chapter 273: Pursue Her

"What did you say?"

"Give me a fair chance to pursue you," Pei Yansi looked at her sincerely, his gaze deep, as if to see right through her, leaving no room for escape.

She had to expose herself completely in front of him,

she had to dare not lie or hide anything in front of him.

At his words, Shen Heyu furrowed her brows, "You treat me this way and still expect me to accept your pursuit?"

Pei Yansi confidently said, "You will," as his voice fell, he added, "I don’t believe you can hide for long."

"You!"

Shen Heyu, infuriated by Pei Yansi’s unreasonable words, felt her chest heave up and down angrily.

Pei Yansi was indifferent, merely pulling her into his arms, his movements more intimate than before. He said in a deep voice, "You are mine. Don’t think about leaving me."

His voice was filled with unmistakable obsession.

Shen Heyu, in his embrace, initially struggled, but eventually, she completely let go.

She remained motionless in his arms.

Letting him lead.

Pei Yansi, noticing her change, also refused to let go, just holding her and repeating the discussion about returning to the Pei Mansion tomorrow.

Shen Heyu had no room to refuse, ultimately asking, "Must I go?"

Pei Yansi nodded, kissing her affectionately by her ear.

"Then how about we stay here for a few more days until the New Year is over?"

She really didn’t want to be troubled anymore, as she had already been running between two cities to get away from Pei Yansi.

Now, she just wanted to have a good New Year.

To her request, Pei Yansi had always agreed, he said, "That’s possible."

After all, no matter what, she could never leave his side. He wouldn’t give her that chance, and since she would eventually come back, a day earlier or later didn’t matter much.

Shen Heyu, thinking he wouldn’t agree, was somewhat taken aback when she heard his consent.

Unsatisfied with this arrangement, Shen Heyu was not a match for Pei Yansi; she could only swallow her objections.

The next morning, because of Pei Yansi’s torment until late into the night, Shen Heyu couldn’t get up on time.

When she opened her eyes, it was already late morning. Pei Yansi had organized everything in her house, especially her luggage, not a single item was left behind.

After Shen Heyu freshened up and saw her fully packed luggage in the living room, she looked puzzledly at Pei Yansi and said, "Didn’t you agree yesterday that we would go back in a few days? Why now..."

So diligently packed.

Without leaving any avenue for retreat.

Pei Yansi replied, "It doesn’t affect you staying a few more days."

Shen Heyu frowned, indeed it didn’t affect her staying longer, but seeing so much luggage stacked up, she always remembered she had to live with Pei Yansi later.

It would mess up her heart.

Unable to settle down, how could these days possibly pass peacefully?

Just as she was about to argue with Pei Yansi, she received a call from an unknown number.

Glancing at it, normally she wouldn’t answer unknown calls, but right now, she didn’t want to argue with Pei Yansi, so this call seemed like a lifeline.

She pressed answer,

and soon Han Manyin’s voice came from the other end, "Heyu, are you still in Jiang City?"

Shen Heyu was startled, at first, she considered many possibilities, but she never thought it would be her.

The two of them had never had a good relationship; even now with her memory loss, they were just at a point where there were no conflicts, not close enough to call each other.

But maybe because of Pei Yansi’s presence, she felt that Han Manyin was easier to deal with than him right now.

Shen Heyu then said, "Just say what you want."

Han Manyin was stunned for a moment on the other end, seemingly not expecting Shen Heyu to speak so directly, she thought about the task Shen Jiangli had entrusted her with, and then said, "I’d like to invite you out for a meal because Shen Jiangli told me that I had done many things wrong by you before, and I want to take this opportunity to properly apologize to you."

Hearing this, Shen Heyu was somewhat incredulous; Han Manyin was actually apologizing to her?

And it was Shen Jiangli who suggested?

She frowned, always feeling there was deception involved, she refused, saying, "No need, I’m busy."

From one second saying to speak up if there’s any issue to the next claiming to be busy, Shen Heyu’s sudden contradiction was clear. Han Manyin realized it wasn’t that she was busy, but that she didn’t want to meet, so she exaggerated a bit, saying:

"I know you might have reservations about something. I really hope you can give me this chance as I truly regret what I did."

Her tone was very sincere, even though it didn’t reveal much, but Shen Heyu still felt it strange, maybe because the two of them had always been hostile and suddenly one side softened.

She was silent for a moment, and Han Manyin on the other side thought she was still going to refuse.

Worried that this matter would be messed up, she continued, "Shen Jiangli and I have fallen out because of this, and if I don’t apologize to you, he will never forgive me; please, Heyu, just think of it as helping me."

Shen Heyu knew her relationship with Shen Jiangli.

Originally ambiguous, and since her memory loss, it had become even more so, if Shen Jiangli, based on not caring about her, came to apologize, it might be possible.

Han Manyin, not hearing her answer, concluded decisively on the phone, "If you don’t say anything, I’ll take that as a yes. Thank you, Heyu. I’ll send you the time and place by text."

Han Manyin, thrilled with her successful manipulation, hung up and then used a text message to send over the restaurant location and time.

Shen Heyu’s phone chimed, and she saw the message from Han Manyin.

Pei Yansi naturally saw all of this, he walked over to her and squeezed her shoulder, saying, "There might be more to this.

"I’ll come with you."

Pei Yansi didn’t trust Han Manyin, and besides, he didn’t know about others, but he knew for certain that she hadn’t lost her memory.

"No need."

Shen Heyu directly refused; for her now, even meeting Han Manyin was better than staying with him.

Pei Yansi noticed her intent and was somewhat displeased, but said no more, just told her, "Come back early."

Shen Heyu frowned at his suddenly warm manner, feeling uncomfortable.

She glanced around the living room at the packed luggage, but made no reply.

Not even giving him a look.

She quickly fixed her appearance, and went out to meet Han Manyin.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the phone, the call ended, and Han Manyin snuggled into Shen Jiangli’s arms, "I did it."

Shen Jiangli kissed her gently, "It’s just the start."
