She Asks for a Divorce Again
Chapter 243 Send Her

Chapter 243: Chapter 243 Send Her

"I don’t need it, I can do it by myself," Shen Heyu refused him. Now, she could finally refuse without any concerns.

The compliance of the past few days had made her feel incredibly suffocated. Now that she could finally leave freely, she didn’t want to see Pei Yansi for even a second longer.

Pei Yansi observed her expression.

He almost knew what she was thinking.

It was already time for them to part, yet she couldn’t wait, not wanting to see him at all.

He was silent for a few seconds, but still stepped forward to follow Shen Heyu, "I’ll take you."

He emphasized his purpose, and at the same time, he reached out to take her suitcase, not giving Shen Heyu a chance to refuse him.

He really didn’t want to let go.

But Pei Yansi didn’t know how to express that, he just looked down into her eyes, their clarity and calmness, showing not a hint of reluctance towards him.

Including her daughter, she seemed to no longer care.

Shen Heyu looked at him, knowing she could not refuse his expression. Eventually, she nodded her head without saying much more and pulled open the door to leave.

"Do you have to leave now?" Pei Yansi asked while helping her with the luggage.

He had thought she wouldn’t leave so early, that they could return to the country together, but he had thought too much.

She hadn’t spared a second not wanting to leave his side.

"Yes, I don’t want to stay here any longer," Shen Heyu said directly.

She also didn’t give Pei Yansi any face now.

Pei Yansi felt as if something in his chest had shattered. He remained silent, escorting Shen Heyu out the door.

When they reached the hotel lobby. They just happened to run into Lu Yi, who had also packed his luggage.

Lu Yi’s assistant was carrying the suitcase, and it seemed they were also ready to leave.

When Pei Yansi saw him, his eyes instantly darkened. He turned his head and asked Shen Heyu meaningfully, "Did you two arrange this in advance?"

His voice was very cold.

His gaze was unfriendly.

He was already jealous.

Shen Heyu could hear his jealousy and, meeting his cold eyes, worried about provoking him to change his mind, she responded gently, "No."

Lu Yi obviously didn’t expect to meet her here.

A hint of joy appeared on his face; then, excited, he approached her and said, "Heyu? Are you preparing to return to the country too?"

Shen Heyu nodded.

She deliberately kept her distance from Lu Yi, fearful that the man beside her might misunderstand, get jealous, and take her back.

"That’s great, we can go together," Lu Yi said with hope.

Given their relationship, of course, that was possible. They had been good friends for so many years.

However, before Shen Heyu could speak, Pei Yansi spoke first, interrupting, "No."

He looked coldly at Lu Yi.

Directly refusing for Shen Heyu.

Lu Yi frowned, "Pei, you should interfere less with Heyu’s matters."

Pei Yansi scoffed. He didn’t address Lu Yi but turned to look at Shen Heyu and said, "What do you think?"

If she dared to agree to go with Lu Yi, he guaranteed he would immediately take her back, keep her closely by his side, and not let her leave. Especially since not long ago, he had asked her to leave with him, and she had refused.

Since she had already refused, then on what basis should she agree to another man in front of him?

Pei Yansi would not allow it.

Even if he let Shen Heyu go now, she would still belong to him. Anything that belonged to Pei Yansi, even if it were trash, even if it had been thrown onto the roadside, no one was allowed to pick it up without his permission.

Of course, this was just his metaphor, and besides, Shen Heyu was not trash, but the most important person in his heart.

How could he possibly let Lu Yi get the upper hand?

"I plan to leave in a couple of days," Shen Heyu had a decent understanding of Pei Yansi after all. She was well aware of what awaited her once she agreed.

Since both men wanted to leave with her, she simply decided not to leave and hide her tracks well.

That way, she wouldn’t offend either side.

"Then go back and continue staying there," Pei Yansi said as he pulled her hand to head back.

Shen Heyu frowned.

She wrested her hand from his grip and firmly said, "Although I’m going back in a couple of days, I don’t want to go with you."

"You go book a room yourself," Pei Yansi compromised.

As long as she didn’t leave with Lu Yi, whatever she said counted.

He was willing to make this concession.

Shen Heyu finally breathed a sigh of relief, followed Pei Yansi as they left, but looked back at Lu Yi during the process, bidding him farewell with her eyes.

Lu Yi understood her gaze, standing still for a few seconds before almost immediately making up his mind and returning to the hotel with his assistant.

Under Pei Yansi’s lead, Shen Heyu went to the hotel and booked a room for herself, which she stubbornly refused to let Pei Yansi know about.

She just waited for the night to quietly make her escape.

Pei Yansi had resolved to let her go this time, to get along well with her. He didn’t forcefully insist on Shen Heyu sharing her room number.

He didn’t know the plans Shen Heyu was secretly making.

While getting on the elevator, Shen Heyu insisted on parting ways with him. Ultimately, he didn’t hold her back, separating from her in the elevator.

But he remained a bit worried, afraid that she might leave with Lu Yi.

After getting off the elevator, as he was about to return to his room, he passed by Lu Yi’s room and stopped.

He really wanted to knock on the door to see if Lu Yi was inside, or perhaps check if Lu Yi had indeed left with Shen Heyu, deceiving him.

After all, Heyu had consistently refused to tell him her room number. Who could be sure if she hadn’t gone back to find Lu Yi immediately after he left?

Previously, Pei Yansi had always despised these jealous, dark aspects of human character.

He never imagined that one day he would be controlled by these emotions, these base feelings.

He clenched his teeth silently.

Ultimately, he took a step away, not lingering any longer.

When he returned to his room, he saw Yuexue had woken up.

Yuexue, wearing winter pajamas, was sitting on the living room sofa, staring at the television.

Seeing him return, she blinked strangely and asked, "Where’s Mom?"

Every day before, the two of them were always together.

Yansi felt a slight pain in his chest.

He sat next to his daughter, gently stroked her little head, and said, "Mommy has to work for a bit, she had to go first."

"Mommy is working so hard?" Yuexue said concerned, "Then Daddy should take good care of her."

Pei Yansi nodded.

Gently holding his daughter in his arms, feeling very affectionate. For now, all he could do was deceive his daughter. After all, one day he would win Shen Heyu back.

Then, they would be that complete family of three again.

Moreover, he couldn’t believe that Shen Heyu would be so cold as to truly never come back to see her daughter.
