In the living room, Lu Yi proactively poured her a glass of water.

Lu Yi also stood up, "I’ll see you out."

"No need."

Shen Heyu refused. The place she was going to was just next door; there was no need for anyone to see her out.

Originally intent on insisting, Lu Yi, recalling her earlier comment about respecting her wishes, didn’t say anything further and just watched her leave the room.

Shen Heyu returned to where Pei Yansi was and saw that their daughter was no longer in the living room.

Shen Heyu shook her head and said, "I told him you would let me go in four days." She thought for a moment and then added, "You will, won’t you? You’ll keep your promise. After the seven-day agreement, you will let me go."

She was pressuring him.

She repeatedly brought up his own promise to provoke him, to ensure that he would keep his word later.

Pei Yansi was annoyed. How did this Lu Yi always know to come to his wife and coax her into leaving him?

He was furious, lowered his head ignoring Shen Heyu’s resistance, and kissed her fiercely before saying, "Do you truly desire to leave me that badly."

He already knew what the answer was, but he couldn’t help but ask.

Seeing her silence, Pei Yansi didn’t expect her to answer; he reached out to wrap his arms around her waist and pressed her down on the bed.

"Since you’re going to leave, I might as well fulfill my duties as your husband these next few days." Shen Heyu was silent for a few seconds before he pressed down on her.

She didn’t push him away. She knew it was in vain.

He said in a low voice over her, "If you leave in the future, I will still continue to pester you relentlessly."
