She Asks for a Divorce Again
Chapter 238 - 338

Chapter 238: 338

Shen Heyu heard this sentence and felt a tingling sensation on her scalp.

She subconsciously felt that Pei Yansi was going to start going crazy again.

After all, this morning’s incident had just passed.

Yuexue naively said, "Uncle Lu didn’t tell me, he just asked me to pass the message to Mom."

Pei Yansi gave his daughter a slight smile and reached out to ruffle her head, saying no more.

But as his daughter bowed her head and concentrated on eating again, he raised his eyes to look at Shen Heyu.

His gaze was profound, harboring things Shen Heyu couldn’t understand.

His look made Shen Heyu eat her lunch with unease.

She thought, Pei Yansi would use this incident to get into an argument with her again.

Or even to find trouble with her.

Anyway, he would go as crazy as he wanted.

However, surprisingly, until they had finished lunch and both were lying on the bed in the bedroom, ready to nap, he still hadn’t brought up the matter.

The less he mentioned it, in fact, the more anxious Shen Heyu became.

Because what she knew least was whether he was holding anything back in his heart.

Once there was something, when it erupted, he would definitely strike very hard.

She had just lain down on the bed when Pei Yansi pulled her into his arms, leaned down to kiss her lips, cheeks, and neck tenderly.

His movements were gentle and affectionate, more like cherishing rather than lustful.

Shen Heyu was not very comfortable with such actions since she had never received them before.

She wriggled in his embrace, trying to get him to hold her less tightly.

But instead of loosening his grip, Pei Yansi held her even tighter.

"Stop fussing."

Pei Yansi’s voice was hoarse, with a hint of desire as he spoke.

Shen Heyu stopped moving instantly in his embrace, as she felt the change in his body.

She became docile, and Pei Yansi, pleased with her compliance, kissed her even more insatiably.

While kissing, he whispered in her ear, "Lu Yi probably wants to apologize to you."

Shen Heyu didn’t respond.

Her silence made Pei Yansi somewhat dissatisfied.

He gave her a deep look and asked, "If he comes to you again, will you go?"

Shen Heyu shook her head and said, "I don’t know."

Sometimes no answer is an answer.

She would go.

With just that sentence, Pei Yansi saw right through her.

"I’ll take you hiking to see the snow tomorrow."

"I can’t climb," Shen Heyu declined immediately.

Actually, hiking used to be one of her favorite activities; she liked the feeling of exhaustion midway but then standing on the peak at the end.

It gave her a profound sense of accomplishment.

But if Pei Yansi were to accompany her, she would rather say she couldn’t climb.

She didn’t want to be alone with him. Her complying now was all just for leaving in four days.

Could Pei Yansi not see that?

He said, "Tomorrow morning, I’ll wake you, and we’ll go together with our daughter."

It was to be a family trip for the three of them.

His words left no room for Shen Heyu to refuse.

She also seemed to understand that with Pei Yansi, when he decided on something, she didn’t need to say anything more.

She was in default.

In the afternoon, Shen Heyu got up from her nap, President Pei having already gone to his study to work.

She sat in the living room, idly switching on the TV. The heater was on high in the room, so it wasn’t cold.

She was wearing only a simple set of winter pajamas, sitting cross-legged on the sofa while Yuexue laughed along with the characters on the TV.

Pei Yansi was in the study when he heard his daughter’s voice from the living room. He was pleased and satisfied.

He temporarily closed his laptop, thinking of going out to join his wife and child.

He had just stepped out when he heard knocking at the door.

He glanced at Shen Heyu and his daughter on the sofa and went to answer the door.

As soon as the door swung open, he saw Lu Yi’s face.

He frowned subconsciously, annoyed that just as he was about to enjoy his family time, that man showed up.

Really, anything that could ruin his mood was bound to happen.

His expression visibly darkened as he said, "Doctor Lu, you’ve recovered?"

Pei Yansi deliberately mocked him.

Of course, Lu Yi caught the sarcasm in his words, but he acted as if he hadn’t heard it. His gaze passed Pei Yansi and landed on Shen Heyu in the living room, saying, "I’ve come to see Heyu."

"I’m sorry, she’s not available."

Pei Yansi spoke with the intention of closing the door; there was nothing more straightforward than shutting someone out.

However, before Pei Yansi could shut the door, Lu Yi quickly stuck his foot in to prevent it from closing and continued to address Shen Heyu in the living room:

"I really have something to talk to you about."

He wanted to apologize, wanting to clarify his reasons for doing what he did.

After much consideration, he didn’t want his actions to lead to Shen Heyu’s disappointment in him.

He had a mouth; he could explain things clearly.

He didn’t want to lose her.

Shen Heyu fell silent for a moment, then looked up and locked eyes with Pei Yansi.

His gaze was heavy.

It carried danger and warning.

It was a sign he didn’t want her to go.

But after a long silence, Shen Heyu stood up from the sofa, saying, "I’ll go change my clothes."

She couldn’t meet him dressed in her pajamas, after all.

After finishing her sentence, Shen Heyu didn’t dare to look at Pei Yansi’s expression; she quickly turned and went inside.

Thinking if she couldn’t see, then nothing was happening.

Pei Yansi slightly narrowed his eyes, watching her retreating figure, and let out a mean-spirited chuckle, his eyes filled with cold disdain.

It wasn’t long before Shen Heyu came out of the room.

She had changed her clothes, wearing a long winter coat, put together neatly, her hair combed even though it was a quick fix. Nevertheless, Pei Yansi felt a pang of jealousy in his heart.

They knew each other so well, it’s only a meeting, nothing dishonorable, why did she feel the need to dress so carefully?

Lu Yi was still waiting by the door.

Seeing Shen Heyu come out, he let out a hidden sigh of relief.

Thankfully, she didn’t refuse.

Otherwise, he didn’t know what he would have done.

How could he manage to earn her forgiveness?

As Shen Heyu approached the door, Pei Yansi stood in front of her, seemingly not wanting to let her leave. His tall frame blocked the way.

Shen Heyu looked up, signaling with her eyes for him to move aside.

He watched her silently for a few seconds before saying ambiguously, "Are you sure you want to go?"

Lu Yi frowned in dissatisfaction, "Heyu already said she’s going, why do you have to stop her? Nobody likes forced favors, President Pei—haven’t you heard that saying?"

Pei Yansi scoffed.

He turned his head, giving Lu Yi a cold glance, "Are you trying to tell me how to handle my affairs?"

Shen Heyu really didn’t want to watch the two men clash again.

This kind of drama had unfolded before her eyes too many times.

Feeling irritated, she pushed Pei Yansi out of the way, "I’ll be back soon."

With that, she left with Lu Yi.

Pei Yansi didn’t expect her to be so forceful. He stared at their retreating figures, eyes blazing with anger.

He better not catch Lu Yi.

Otherwise, he was sure to give him a harsh lesson.
