The interviewer looked at him expectantly.

Yan Renzhong too gave him an unknown stare.

Shen Jingwei broke in a cold sweat.

Why must the interviewer ask him first?

The internal scream barely subsided when a warm hand rested atop his own, calming down his chaotic mind in a flash.

Shen Jingwei gave Yan Renzhong a terrified look.

The man gave him a devilish smile before turning toward the interviewer.

"Excuse Shen Jingwei. He must be overwhelmed by the marvelous display of our good relationship on the camera."

The interviewer practically thrust the microphone at Yan Renzhong’s neck, eager to get a sizzling hot confirmation.

"And... Will you please elaborate on that good relationship, Emperor Yan?"

Yan Renzhong let out a soft sigh. He cocked his head to the side and gave the interviewer a smile. The kind of smile that love-stricken men had on their faces.

"It is too early to talk about it," he said. "All I can say is that Shen Jingwei makes me very, very happy."

To emphasize his point, he took Shen Jingwei’s hand and pressed it to his lips in a gesture of adoration.

Shen Jingwei could almost hear the collective scream of all fujoshis* across the land ringing in his ears.

But the one who squealed on the spot was none other than the interviewer.

"Oh, my gosh!" She cried out excitedly. But of course she still needed to extract some answer out of Shen Jingwei.

"Shen Jingwei, would you like to add something to Yan Renzhong’s statement just now?" She directed the question back to Shen Jingwei again.

Shen Jingwei squeezed at Yan Renzhong’s hand and returned his smile with one of his.

"Certainly, Yan Renzhong lives up to his reputation. I doubt that I am the first co-star to fall victim to his charm, but I am the lucky one to receive his affection in return."

The interview concluded successfully, and the two men changed back into their farming attires -- which basically meant, naked top and rolled-up pants.

"Thank you," Shen Jingwei whispered when they were moving a huge rock into a cart together. "For the help during the interview."

Yan Renzhong chuckled.

"My pleasure. Such questions will come frequently. Just don’t trip up on them again and again."

"I will do my best."

Ramp up the romance, ramp up the romance, think about the drama, Shen Jingwei chanted in his heart.

Now that they became the #1 pairing in the reality TV show, everyone would expect them to "get together" eventually. Even if they were not going to do that for real, they still had to fake it.

All for the drama.

Shen Jingwei sneaked a surreptitious glance at Yan Renzhong.

He did not mind acting out a loving and harmonious couple, but what about Yan Renzhong?

Shen Jingwei got to ride the tractor at last, and Yan Renzhong was able to partake in the joy of guiding a water buffalo through the field.

Three days went by just like that, and the time to say goodbye had come.

As a token of appreciation to Uncle Huang and Auntie Bai, the six participants decided to leave the tractor and the two water buffalos behind.

But that was not all.

On their last day in the farming village, Uncle Huang and Auntie Bai already prepared a pleasant surprise for all of them.

"To celebrate a job well done, we will relax at a natural hot spring and stay in a nearby inn today!"

"T-truth or dare?" Feng Jietang sputtered. For some reason, he looked somewhat flustered.

"Truth," Shen Jingwei answered.

Feng Jietang cleared his throat repeatedly before posing the question.

"L-Little Shen, are you, by chance, in love with anyone right now?"

In their anticipation to hear Shen Jingwei’s answer, no one noticed how Yan Renzhong’s body stiffen slightly in response.
