"Little Shen, can you cook?" Feng Jietang asked, his voice overflowing with hope.

Shen Jingwei cut him a grimace.

"I guess I can do some basic cooking," he said.

"I hope you can do more than boil eggs and cook rice!" Lang Yuxuan clawed into his face in terror.

"He can cook," Yan Renzhong spoke up. "I ate his wonton twice."

Feng Jietang’s face changed rapidly.

"Huh? Twice?"

"Twice," Yan Renzhong confirmed while smiling at Feng Jietang.

Feng Jietang must love wonton so much, because he grabbed Shen Jingwei by the shoulders and demanded, "Little Shen, why haven’t I tasted your wontons?"

"..."

Shen Jingwei stared at him.

"Because you didn’t ask for them?"

Feng Jietang snapped after the air.

"Does it mean that you give your wontons to everyone who asks for them?"

"Not everyone is entitled to eat his wontons," Yan Renzhong interjected. "So naturally he won’t make wontons for just anyone."

Feng Jietang was visibly heartbroken.

"Senior Yan, you are so capable!"

"Of course he is!" Lang Yuxuan piped up. "My Senior Yan can do everything!"

Feng Jietang pursed his lips.

"Well if he can do everything, then he can handle the cooking alone. Little Shen and I can handle other chores."

"That’s right," Lang Yuxuan quickly agreed. "Or maybe Shen Jingwei can do all the cooking on his own. Senior Yan is so talented. He should not be locked up in the kitchen!"

"No," Yan Renzhong objected. "Cooking for six people is a lot of work. Both Shen Jingwei and I are needed in the kitchen."

Lang Yuxuan and Feng Jietang shot each other brief glances.

"Alright, alright. Yan Renzhong and Shen Jingwei will handle the cooking. Next. Who is going to handle the farming and trading?"

Ye Lingxia asked into the round.

"I have never touched any farming tools in my life," Feng Jietang said.

"Neither have I," Lang Yuxuan too said in a tiny, tiny voice.

Ye Lingxia put both hands at her waist and glared at the two men.

"Are you going to make two ladies work alone at the fields???"

Ye Lingxia scoffed.

"It is high time for you to learn some farming skills, then," she said while blowing air from her nose.
