Prior to the commencement of the third shooting period, the cast members were invited for voice recording sessions at CNC Studio.

"Thanks to your best wishes, I did," Yan Renzhong sneered back at him in return. "How did the filming for your new movie go? I heard that most of your scenes had to be covered by stuntmen."

Lang Yuxuan clung to Yan Renzhong and batted his eyelashes at Shen Jingwei.

"Senior Feng must be so busy these days. Senior Shen, you must be rather lonely without him around."

Shen Jingwei responded with a graceful smile.

"I am quite busy myself. Playing the Crown Prince of the Heavenly Empire does require me to learn several skill sets. What have you been doing these past few days? Did you do anything useful?"

A round of scowls followed the round of laughter, and everyone retreated into their own vocal booths.

The vocal booths were strategically positioned in close proximity, yet their walls were meticulously constructed with soundproof materials to ensure complete acoustic isolation.

This arrangement effectively prevented any audio bleed between the booths, allowing each cast member to focus solely on their performance without unnecessary distractions. Meanwhile, the control room, equipped with front-facing windows, offered a clear visual perspective of the vocalists, enabling the people in the control room to monitor and guide the recording process.

Shen Jingwei’s message that day received a rather curt reply : "OK".

It was not like he particularly expected a longer reply from Yan Renzhong. He really didn’t.

He just wanted to ask how he was doing.

His fingers itched to type out the question, but the words remained trapped within his mind after reading Yan Renzhong’s impersonal, cold "OK".

In the end, Shen Jingwei decided not to bother Yan Renzhong further.

"I just don’t want you to think that I am a weakling. I can shoot action scenes just fine. Just you watch. Director Ma doesn’t like using stuntmen. I am going to show you what I can do in ’Dance Of The Dragons’. I am a dedicated actor, you know."

Shen Jingwei laughed.

"I saw pictures of you hanging out with your lion. I think that proves your dedication to the drama. It is impressive enough."

Feng Jietang puffed up his chest in pride. It was a miracle he did not blow off steam from his nostrils.

"Of course!" He exclaimed. "Unlike Emperor Yan, I always give my best in everything!"

"LITTLE SHEN!"

Air was knocked out of Shen Jingwei’s lungs when Zhu Dongyi rammed into him with the force of a wild hog.

"Ufffh...!"

"LITTLE SHEN, YOU HAVE DONE SO WELL! I AM SO, SO, SO PROUD OF YOU!"

"Hey, hey, old man, I am proud of him too, but can you elaborate before you knock him out?" Feng Jietang was beyond curious. "What happened? Did our Little Shen win the lottery? If yes, you can treat me to lunch..."

Zhu Dongyi grabbed Shen Jingwei by the shoulders and shook him.

"Little Shen, why didn’t you tell me that you went off to find Chun Yao alone? The MV featuring you has been released, and all of her fans are asking who you are!!!"

"Wait, what!" Feng Jietang could barely believe his ears.

"An MV with Chun Yao??? Little Shen, I think you should treat me to lunch for a month!!!"
