Feng Jietang blinked several times before sighing into his palm.

"Unrequited love is normal," Lin Ruoye declared. "We are all friends, so naturally I wish that both of you will be happy with the people you love. Senior Feng, you will find someone else, I promise."

"There won’t be anyone else," Feng Jietang said. "There will only be one Shen Jingwei."

Lin Ruoye sighed deeply.

"There can be someone else in this entire universe who doesn’t share Senior Shen’s name but will love you as much as you love him. Or her," Lin Ruoye patiently declared.

"Meh."

Lin Ruoye shook her head in disbelief.

"I think what we need is a round of friendly gathering. Why don’t we all go to KTV* for a night of fun?"

"You and me?"

"You, and me, and Senior Shen, and some more friends."

Feng Jietang’s spirit lifted a little.

"Fine," he said. "Friends only, though. Do not invite unfriendly people."

Lin Ruoye knew exactly whom he was referring to.

"I won’t invite Senior Yan," the actress solemnly declared.

"That’s my good and smart junior. Proud of you," Feng Jietang praised wholeheartedly.

Thus Lin Ruoye arranged a fun karaoke night with Shen Jingwei, Feng Jietang, and select people from Yunhuan Entertainment.

But when she went to a nearby KTV shop to book a private room, she found that all rooms were booked.

"Ehhh, how come?" She wailed.

"I am sorry, Miss Lin," the shop attendant clapped her hands together in apology. "Lately a lot of people have come to book rooms. Business has been so good that you need to reserve a room two weeks in advance!"

Lin Ruoye pursed her lips.

If she wanted to book two weeks in advance, she might as well book a room at a bigger KTV in the city.

"Sigh. Forget it."

Just as she turned on her heel to walk away, she almost bumped against two people on her way out.

"Eh? Ruoye, why are you here?"

It was Wu Jin and a rookie actor from CNC Studio she was not familiar with.

"Senior Wu!"

Jin Zhuo whistled, clearly impressed.

"Hi, Sister Lin. Please don’t be so formal, you make me feel awkward. My name is Jin Zhuo, I play Xie Jianzhi in the drama."

"Ahhh~ nice role, nice role."

"Over within a season," Xie Jianzhi said with a laughter. "Unlike yours. I am so jealous."

Lin Ruoye shook her head fervently.

"Noo, my roles are small ones only, a lot smaller than yours. I barely have any scenes or lines."

"So Ruoye, what are you doing here?"

Lin Ruoye hung her head upon hearing the question.

"Oh, I came here to book a room for tomorrow, but I came too late. All rooms are booked. Such a misfortune, really."

"Oh?"

Wu Jin narrowed his eyes and gave Lin Ruoye a profound look.

"Are you going with friends?"

"Yes! With.Senior Feng, Senior Shen, and several friends from Yunhuan."

Wu Jin gave Jin Zhuo a sidelong glance before he beamed at Lin Ruoye and asked, "Can we join?"

He purposefully avoided mentioning the Handsome Butler Coffee Shop, afraid of being implicated in the prostitution rumor.

Thankfully, Lin Ruoye was not a curious person.

"Oh, is that so?"

"Yeah! You can ask Shen Jingwei if you want."

"We still don’t have a room, though," Lin Ruoye said with a touch of regret. "What if I make new plans and invite the both of you for next time?"

"I do have a room," Wu Jin pointed out. "I am a regular here, so the store keeps a room for me throughout the year."

Lin Ruoye had no other choice but to agree.
