"Why are you here?" They asked the same question in unison.

Yan Renzhong sneered.

Feng Jietang’s face darkened.

"Shen Jingwei and I are dating. Obviously, I am allowed to be here."

A glob of phlegm formed in Feng Jietang’s throat, causing him to gag.

"Your relationship hasn’t been officially announced," he spat.

"Not all relationships need to be announced on the media," Yan Renzhong narrowed his eyes at Feng Jietang. "Not that fans would be surprised. We came out as the #1 couple at the conclusion of ’3, 2, 1... Action!’."

"You only became the #1 pairing because netizens don’t know the despicable thing you did to Little Shen!"

Hearing the commotion outside, Shen Jingwei quickly left the kitchen and rushed toward the front door.

"What’s wrong? Who’s there? Oh, Jietang."

"Little Shen!" Feng Jietang cried out. "I am here to watch the first episode with you! This person is blocking my way!"

Inside the kitchen, Shen Jingwei could hear everything through the small gap at the sliding door.

Hopefully these two men would shut up when the first episode began.

As if he did not have enough distraction at this point, the ominous door bell rang again.

Shen Jingwei poked his head through the door again.

Before he even finished his sentence, the first two guests already left the couch and headed toward the door.

The door opened to reveal Ye Lingxia and Lin Ruoye, both of them visibly stunned to see Yan Renzhong and Feng Jietang inside.

When Shen Jingwei emerged from the kitchen with a tray full of junk foods, the four guests already found themselves sitting spots in the cramped living room.

Feng Jietang and Yan Renzhong had to hug their legs to their chests on the couch for the ladies to sit at the coffee table.

"No offense, Little Shen, but you need a bigger space," Ye Lingxia commented with a serious face. "This entire apartment is smaller than my living room."

Shen Jingwei wordlessly put the tray of food on the coffee table.

Was he the one who invited everyone to his apartment, or what???

"You aren’t intruding," he placated the young actress. "Why don’t I go to the convenience store downstairs and buy us more food? I don’t have enough for five people."

Yan Renzhong snickered into the round.

"If only the other guests thought about bringing something instead of showing up empty-handed," he commented.

"Well, what did you bring, smart guy?" Ye Lingxia asked.

In response, Yan Renzhong lifted the empty gift bag from J’Adore.

"A whole tiramisu cake."

He then grinned in Shen Jingwei’s direction.

"See? I was right to buy a whole cake instead of two slices."

Shen Jingwei was too tired to argue. He tossed his apron to a chair and said, "I am going downstairs."

"I am going too!" Lin Ruoye shot to her feet in a flash.

Ye Lingxia, who just found a can of beer, popped it open.

"I want some fish nuggets and chips," she announced after taking a sip. "Pizzas are great too. Buy whatever you want, Little Shen. I will send money to your WeChat account."

Once Shen Jingwei and Lin Ruoye took their leave, Ye Lingxia looked at Yan Renzhong and Feng Jietang alternatelty.

"Ck, all five of us are here. We are missing one more person," Ye Lingxia commented.

Feng Jietang was horrified.

"You want to add one more person to this apartment??? Where is he going to sit? On the roof?"

And so when Shen Jingwei and Lin Ruoye returned an hour later with four bags full of groceries, the amount of guest had increased by one.
