During the years Zhu Dongyi managed Shen Jingwei, the latter thankfully never became embroiled in any romantic affairs, leaving the manager to wipe after him.

And precisely because Shen Jingwei had always been so well-behaved that Zhu Dongyi did not know the best practices in dealing with his protégé the morning after he spent a night with his boyfriend.

"What are you thinking about, Old Zhu? He and I did not spend the night together."

Did it mean that he had been waiting over two hours for absolutely nothing at all???

Zhu Dongyi had been sitting in his car for over two hours! Of course he had been scrolling through social media the entire time!

"Several videos were posted regarding yesternight’s incident," Zhu Dongyi summarized. "Thankfully, you didn’t draw any negative feedback from the netizens. In fact, a lot of people praised you for standing up for Yan Renzhong."

Shen Jingwei hummed to himself in contemplation. "Sit down, Old Zhu. Coffee?"

"Yes, please," Zhu Dongyi eagerly replied. "Two spoonful of sugar and cream as always."

Shen Jingwei went to the kitchen to prepare two cups of coffee. Once he returned to the living room, Zhu Dongyi was already sitting on the couch. Various documents had been disgorged out of his bag. Ranging from brochures down to Shen Jingwei’s work schedule of the week, they were now scattered around and on top of him.

Shen Jingwei sat next to Zhu Dongyi and placed the two cups of coffee strategically on the coffee table, careful not to spill their content on top of the papers.

He then rubbed at an aching spot behind his neck. It was none other than his beloved boyfriend’s undoing. Once consumed by desire, Yan Renzhong was not exactly the gentlest creature in bed.

"Ahh, coffee. Thanks, Little Shen."

Zhu Dongyi took a generous sip and sighed from delight.

"Oh, it was good... Oh, I almost forgot. I brought us some breakfast."

Zhu Dongyi put a brown paper bag next to the cups of coffee. Buying breakfast for Shen Jingwei had been his daily routine from the moment Shen Jingwei’s career started shooting upward.

"Wonderful. Let’s dig in then."

This morning, Zhu Dongyi brought them stuffed baguettes from a bakery. It was stuffed full with savory salami, creamy egg salad, tangy cheese, crisp lettuce, and a generous drizzle of dressing. Thankfully, the expert wrapping allowed them to enjoy their breakfast without soiling their fingers.

As they took a bite at their delicious breakfast, they went through Zhu Dongyi’s social media compilation.

Just like what Zhu Dongyi said, nothing alarming about Shen Jingwei had been posted on social media. The same thing could not be said about Yan Renzhong, who became notorious thanks to the top trending topic of the morning, "Yan Renzhong kidnapping Song Zhuguan daughters".

Shen Jingwei frowned at the distasteful search keywords.

Yan Renzhong often landed on top of the hot search list in the past, but never for such an unsavory allegation. Shen Jingwei could not help but be worried for his sake.

"Did you look into any news on Yan Renzhong’s side?" He asked his manager.

Zhu Dongyi pulled a grimace in response. Of course he did.

Now that Shen Jingwei and Yan Renzhong were involved with each other, it made sense for both managers to align their interests and ensure the best outcome for their protégés.

"Yes. He is in a difficult position now, but thanks to your interference, most fans are doubting the truth behind Song Zhuguan’s allegation. Most of the pictures attached to the posts were fake. They didn’t even get the names right. These fake Song daughters were mostly unpopular influencers who hoped to gain more traction by riding on Yan Renzhong’s coattails.

But some of these posts were authentic. They included photos of the real Song Xiaoling and Song Yaya.

Some photos featured a certain long-legged man, who, despite his full disguise, could only be Yan Renzhong.
