As he stared at his computer screen, Shen Jingwei tapped at his cheek in contemplation.

It was the first time they got to see each other’s faces.

There was only one problem.

"Why can’t I see you?" He asked in confusion.

Yan Renzhong laughed while tossing some hair off his handsome face.

"Oh, come on," he said. "I haven’t seen you for so long. I want to see your face."

"No," Shen Jingwei said. "Besides, you won’t be able to see my face."

"It’s fine," Yan Renzhong coaxed in a sweet voice. "Come on, Jingwei. I miss you very much."

Shen Jingwei pursed his lips.

"Fine," he grumbled.

He barely activated the camera when a distinct clicking sound was heard from the other side, followed by Yan Renzhong’s snicker.

"What did you do just now?" Shen Jingwei asked, dumbfounded.

In response, Yan Renzhong laughed so hard that he fell from his chair.

A moment later, a trembling hand appeared before the screen and sent something through the chat box.

It was a screenshot of Shen Jingwei’s appearance in all his glory -- strands of hair clipped together to prevent them from touching his face mask, a bright green cucumber face mask on his face, leaving only holes open for the eyes, the nose holes, and the mouth.

"Erase it!" Shen Jingwei demanded with a holler.

"No."

Yan Renzhong went back to sit before the laptop, a mischievous grin plastered all over his face.

"I think that you look exceptional."

"Exceptionally ugly!" Shen Jingwei snapped at him.

"Nah, it looks domestic. I like it. I am going to use it as my lock screen image."

Upon hearing Yan Renzhong’s answer, Shen Jingwei’s soul almost left his body on the spot.

"No!" He cried out. "What will people think if you use that picture as your lock screen image!"

Yan Renzhong shrugged.

"They will probably think that it’s a picture of my domestic helper."

"..."

And why would you have a picture of your domestic helper as lock screen image, stupid Yan??? Shen Jingwei howled in his head.

"Alright, enough with the fun. Jingwei, are you bringing anyone to the premiere?"

"None," Shen Jingwei grumbled. "Why?"

Yan Renzhong snickered.

"Why don’t you and I go together then?"

Shen Jingwei pressed his lips together into a taut line.

"Honestly, that is a bad idea."

"Why?"

"Because I am supposed to hate you, remember? You are the man with the secret girlfriend and daughter who betrayed me three years ago, remember?"

Yan Renzhong clicked with his tongue.

"That’s the version only Lang Yuxuan and Feng Jietang knew."

"And aren’t you afraid that the information gets leaked to the press?"

"It won’t."

"How are you so sure?"

"Because CNC Studio and Yunhuan Entertainment have express agreement to not attack each other’s top stars. Shang Ruohai will strangle Feng Jieyun if Feng Jietang dares to spread rumors about me."

"Oh, is that so?"

No wonder Yan Renzhong acted so nonchalant about Feng Jietang’s discovery.

"And Lang Yuxuan?"
