Sealed Divine Throne II: Twin Sons of Dragon
Chapter 301 - 149: Zisang Liuying’s Third Spirit Furnace_2

Chapter 301: Chapter 149: Zisang Liuying’s Third Spirit Furnace_2

The fact is, he succeeded. The earth dragon form of Long Dangdang eventually managed to come in close. This was completely unexpected to Zisang Liuying, especially after her own powerful Element Shedding coupled with the explosion of the Repulsion Furnace. She never would have thought that Long Dangdang would still have the chance to close in on her after that.

But in the end, it was the depth and strength that decided the outcome. Zisang Liuying, with her powerful third spirit furnace, forcefully turned the situation around again.

The battle situation kept changing. Eventually, although it was Long Dangdang who was defeated, if Zisang Liuying hadn’t had the support of her last spirit furnace, she might’ve been in real peril. Being in close proximity to a 5th Rank earth attribute knight, while under the influence of the Gravity Technique and in a weak state after just releasing a major attack, she simply had no strength to resist.

When Zisang Liuying landed on the ground, the tiny silver frog on her forehead had already vanished. She had likely withdrawn her spirit furnace.

Her eyes were blazing as she looked at Long Dangdang, "I underestimated you."

Long Dangdang returned a faint smile, "Next time, you won’t beat me."

Zisang Liuying’s mouth curved slightly upward, "I didn’t think you were the type to talk tough."

Long Dangdang didn’t say much. After saluting the referee, he left the field. As Zisang Liuying watched his retreating figure, her eyes unconsciously hardened. Long Dangdang was indeed stronger than she had imagined. He already had four clones, each of the four basic attributes represented. Considering his abilities as a magic knight, he’d definitely be tougher in the future, especially given his young age. If they’re both at the 6th Rank, she was really uncertain she could beat him.

"Don’t worry, it’s okay, you lost fair and square." Long Kongkong and Ling Menglu were both waiting for him as he walked out. Long Kongkong gave him a big hug with a beaming smile.

Ling Menglu asked softly, "You’re not hurt, are you?"

"I’m fine." Long Dangdang shook his head.

"Good, you take a rest. I’m about to participate." Ling Menglu patted him on the shoulder.

Long Dangdang headed towards the waiting area to rest and, for now, he appeared slightly silent, as if he was lost in his thoughts.

Ling Menglu exhaled quietly. She thought he was in a bad mood and decided she’d comfort him once they returned. She had to focus on her upcoming second semifinal match.

"The first semi-final match - Magic Temple’s Zisang Liuying wins. The second semi-final match - Priests Temple’s Ling Menglu versus Warriors Temple’s Tang Leiguang. Both players, please enter the field and prepare."

Ling Menglu and Tang Leiguang both entered the field and walked up to the referee. The referee was the same one from the previous bout and hadn’t been switched out.

Looking at both of them, the referee began, "Priest versus Warrior, two hundred meters apart. If there’s no clear winner within ten minutes, the priest wins. Understood?"

"Understood."

"Understood."

Tang Leiguang looked at Ling Menglu across the field. As always, she was in her academy uniform and veiled. But, as he looked at her, to his surprise, the normally warm and friendly Divine Maiden had a look of determination in her eyes.

Ling Menglu waved her magic staff towards him in a circle before finally pulling it back. She performed the Priest salute. Tang Leiguang reciprocated with the Warrior salute. Then, he watched as Ling Menglu turned her back on him and walked away.

He realized, she was blaming him for choosing Zisang Liuying. Tang Leiguang’s eyebrows furrowed slightly.

Soon, they both had distanced themselves and were staring intently at each other from afar.

"Begin!" With the announcement of the referee, the second semi-final match was formally underway — a battle between the Divine Maiden and the Thunder Sword Saint.

The esteemed individuals on the Main Stage were paying particularly close attention to this match.

Divine Maiden Menglu, Elements Saintess Zisang Liuying, Cyclical Reincarnation Prodigy Chu Yu, Thunder Sword Saint Tang Leiguang, and the White Phoenix Cai Caijuan, the five talents of this new generation at the Spirit Furnace Academy. Today’s match was truly a clash of geniuses, the most brutal confrontation between the lower grades at the Spirit Furnace Academy. These five talents were all being nurtured by the major Temples as reserve Sacred Legates. Almost certainly destined to become Sacred Legates in the future, they were bound to attract attention.

"Boom–" As soon as the referee yelled the word "begin", Tang Leiguang sprang into action. His body was suddenly surrounded by a blue-purple light, and in the blink of an eye, he launched himself towards Menglu like a flash of lightning. Swift as lightning, he’d already covered a distance of thirty meters. Then, his body boomed again, accelerating even further. His speed was clearly superior compared to Long Dangdang’s previous charges.

Ling Menglu, staff in hand, began to slowly rise from the ground. Strangely enough, as her petite body gently ascended, she began to radiate a soft glow from the inside out, as if she herself was a being of light.

Then, a ray of light shone from her staff, enveloping her petite frame. At her feet, a golden six-pointed star appeared.

Divine Light!

Light’s Benediction!

Two spells were cast consecutively. By this time, Tang Leiguang had already covered a distance of more than a hundred meters.

The effect of the Divine Light was to bestow the caster with holy power, enhancing and elevating their light attribute, which in turn increased the might of their light magic by 30 percent and strengthened their pressure against darkness and all other negative attributes.

Light’s Benediction was even simpler. By attracting a large number of light elements, it significantly enhanced the cohesion of the caster’s light elements.

The elemental powers in the area, which had been stripped away by Zisang Liuying before the match, had been restored by the powerful members of the Magic Temple. Therefore, it did not affect Ling Menglu’s spellcasting.

Under the influence of these two auxiliary magic spells, the aura of light around Ling Menglu intensified.

Meanwhile, the momentum of Tang Leiguang, amid the thunderous boom, grew stronger and stronger. He seemed to be growing taller, as he surged towards Menglu with unparalleled momentum.

Ling Menglu was murmuring spells, her feet moving. She wasn’t retreating, but lightly touching the ground as she continuously slid in place, seemingly to draw a magic array . She directed the dense light elements flowing on her body into the ground like a liquid, making the golden light at her feet more dazzling.

At that moment, she looked so pure and clear. Under the halo of the sacred aura, she radiated such an intense divinity that it inspired reverence from the onlookers.

In previous matches, she often relied on attrition to defeat her opponents. As a Priestess, she had many means of defense and control. But today, she clearly did not want to do the same.

Tang Leiguang was closing in, having entered within a fifty-meter range of her. At this moment, he held a heavy estoc in his hand, his entire body enveloped in blue-purple thunderbolt light, bearing an overwhelming aura.

With a heavy stamp on the ground, his thunderous roar echoed several times louder. His entire body seemed to be propelled into the air, flying into the sky. The sky responded with a loud thunderous blast, and in the next instant, Tang Leiguang’s body turned into a bolt of lightning, striking fiercely towards Ling Menglu.

Facing such an explosive attack, Ling Menglu merely looked up slightly. Her beautiful eyes had turned completely golden. The rhythm of her spell incantation remained unchanged, and she showed no intention of dodging. A faint golden glow surged from her chest, and a magnificent golden silhouette appeared, surprisingly it was the Repulsion Furnace that Zisang Liuying had previously used.

A golden halo suddenly appeared and exploded in response to the slashing thunderbolt.

With a deafening "boom", Ling Menglu remained rooted in place, whilst Tan Leiguang’s body was rebounded. However, Ling Menglu’s eyes shone even brighter, and another spirit furnace emerged almost simultaneously.
