Chapter 94: Chapter - 94 A Private Meeting Of Kings
Lyukhe’s Point Of View
"Ferdinand, my condolences on your family home and the abduction of some of it’s occupants. What are your plans moving forward?" Zachariah said as we entered the conference room and took our seats.
The air was thick with tension, it was clear that the siblings of Tristan were dear to him. He was sitting in Sylvester’s lap crying softly as the others were trying to console him.
"Well, I refuse to let those kids suffer a single day in the hands of Danhiel. So we will head out as soon as possible... though I must admit, I have no back up to speak of. I’m told many of my men were gravely wounded in the attack, and the rest are doing what they can to protect the others and salvaged what they can." Ferdinand replied.
It was shocking to hear that Danhiel had gone to such extreme lengths such as burning down Ferdinand’s family home, but even more so that so many were hurt in the escape attempt. Much like Ferdinand, his men were no slouches. The tales of the Assassin Psycho Twins were widely known, and even with only a few Alphas among them, his Beta men were nothing to scoff at either.
"I’m willing to help in any way I can. My men are yours to command." Zachariah said.
"However, you should know... my surveillance team has told me they were taken to the Lore’rahlye facility..." I added.
"I don’t give a shit where they are. I will burn that facility to the ground! It will be a bigger cautionary tale than Delgaide!" Sylvester yelled furiously.
"Of that I have no doubt, Sylvester. However, you are missing the point..." Zachariah groaned.
"Unlike the facility in Delgaide, which was constructed at Charles WhetStone’s instruction, Lore’rahlye’s facility was constructed by his wife. It sits nestled into a mountain. There is only one way in and one way out." I said, feeling regretful of the situation at hand.
One by one Ferdinand, Sylvester, Tristan, and the four others with them looked up at me in shocked horror. I couldn’t blame them, this plan had been meticulously made with the hope of them coming to rescue the captives. The problem was, that doing so would ultimately bring about their own capture as well.
"This is much too risky! What can we even do? I can’t abandon them, but the cost would be loosing you as well. How could I ever make that choice?!" Tristan said tearfully, as he looked between his mates.
"You won’t lose us. So don’t even think that way." Ferdinand replied.
"But you don’t know that, right?! By now Danhiel has no doubt made it back to Lore’rahlye and began setting traps. Meyhymn can track Ezekihel, but what if they are separated? You don’t have the schematics for that facility on hand do you? The only way in or out is with an army, and Danhiel is being backed by the government!" He argued.
His breathing was becoming much heavier, and his pheromones were beginning to envelope the room. The other Kings and Dyahlettah began to cover their noses in earnest. If he became any more worked up, we would end up with a much bigger problem to deal with.
All at once, each of Tristan’s mates began to release their own pheromones. The scent mixed pleasantly, but it also made me shudder. Sylvester took Tristan by the chin and kissed him softly.
"You need to calm down. That’s why we are here right now, to formulate a plan that won’t get us captured. If you get too worked up, Ferdinand and Bellamy will kill everyone here. Please calm down, and take some deep breaths." He said firmly, as he looked directly into Tristan’s eyes.
Tristan seemed to calm down immediately, as he took deep labored breaths. I could tell that Gaibe and Dyahlettah were having an extremely difficult time trying to calm down as well. Their eyes were pulsing fiercely.
"It may not be my place to speak, but if you could all take these suppressants, you will be less affected by Tristan’s pheromones." One of the men standing behind Sylvester said, grabbing a box from the floor near his feet.
"I don’t mean to be rude but, couldn’t we just take our own?" Gaibe asked, already rummaging through his pockets for his own.
"You could, but they wouldn’t work nearly as well. Your suppressant is from B&G Pharmaceuticals correct? You’ll find that these are a cut above the rest. After all, I made them myself." The man winked.
"Bellamy is the owner of B&G Pharmaceuticals... trust me, these suppressants are far superior." Ferdinand said.
"With no side effects." Sylvester added.
All the Kings stared over at them in shock, myself included. This was a well-kept secret. It was like meeting a celebrity. After disclosing that tidbit of information, Zachariah, Bennhayzin, Dyahlettah, Gaibe, myself, and all our subordinates grabbed an injection from the box he had placed in the middle of the table.
"We had planned to use these at the meeting, but that bastard Rahzden wouldn’t shut the hell up. And he was making Tristan uncomfortable, so we opted to leave early." Sylvester said.
After injecting myself, my eyes widened. You could feel the injection immediately taking over. It was downright unnatural. These would fly off the shelves if they were put on the market, and it seemed I wasn’t the only one thinking that way.
"Holy shit! These really are incredible! They will fly off the shelves once they are made en masse." Gaibe exclaimed.
"I agree. These are fantastic." Dyahlettah added.
"Ah well, about that... unfortunately the LDC would never approve the continued production of the suppressants. They work too well and are needed less, so ultimately they would lose money. If these went public people would stop buying the original suppressants and need the new suppressants less frequently. The LDC is not a fan of beneficial drugs." Bellamy shrugged.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. The LDC was basically standing in the way of true progress. That was going on my list of things that needed to be fixed in Delgahtowe.
"So how many men can you spare? Also are you willing to protect Tristan while we go on this rescue mission? Do you have a computer that Meyhymn could use to gain access to the facility?" Ferdinand asked.
He had been glancing at the largest man in the room many times since the meeting began, it was clear that someone dear to the man had also been abducted.
"I can give you 25 men. 15 Alphas and 10 Betas. The rest will guard RozenBluume. Also you should know some of them are on the NTF (National Task Force) they have a bit of power to abuse. Just try not to go overboard. No innocent lives taken. No matter what." Zachariah said sternly.
"We’ll handle it just like Delgaide. We just need the schematics." Sylvester winked.
"Or, we could always ask the Mafia King who presides over the facility to fork over his credentials. In exchange for his life, that is." Gaibe said.
This statement made Ferdinand and Co. look at him in shock. It was then that I realized they had already left, and hadn’t known that Zachariah had detained Rahzden and his men. I had to hand it to Gaibe, it was a good idea. Rahzden was heavily involved with his facility in Lore’rahlye, and it was mostly because he would go there to release his darker and more sadistic urges.
"Yeah... I had him detained after you all left. His last remarks to you and your mate were disrespectful, and as you can imagine he didn’t relent even after you all left." Zachariah said.
"Okay, well that’s convenient. Lyukhe you have a computer don’t you?" Ferdinand asked me.
He was right, I certainly did but I just couldn’t resist teasing him.
"Oho? What makes you say that?" I asked.
"C’mon information man. Stop playing around." Sylvester groaned.
"Hahaha! Alright, Alright. I do have a laptop, but it’s in my room. Jahcobe please go and retrieve it for me." I said, still chuckling.
He nodded and headed out the door. Once he was gone, an awkward silence fell upon the room. I wasn’t sure what to talk about anymore, everyone seemed lost in their thoughts.
"I have a request." Dyahlettah said, breaking the silence.
"What is it?" Zachariah asked.
"I believe those making a new facility in Tristan’s image, should make a pact. It should be signed and bound with a death seal. That is the only way to secure the future and for anyone to take this seriously." She said, looking at each of us firmly.
This request wasn’t a small request. It was a serious situation to be sure. A death seal was nothing to scoff at. Honestly, I couldn’t imagine many of the Kings agreeing to it.
"I’m fine with that. I also think Tristan should make the rules and stipulations of the pact as well. Then each facility will be subjected to intermittent check-ups. If the pact is found to be broken, the death seal will be enacted." Zachariah said.
"What’s a death seal?" Tristan asked.
Just then, there was a firm knock on the door and then Jaymehsyn opened it up to show Waihlynn and Aidehynn, standing there looking nervous as hell...
’Well, well, well... like moths to a flame...’
