Chapter 564: Chapter 379: A Sudden Turn of Events

As it was apparent to both the lady behind the screen and the one next to it, they both seemed somewhat incredulous that Sean Knight really had the painite.

Sean reached into his pocket, pulled out a jewelry box, casually opened it, and revealed the irregularly shaped deep red stone.

"Is this the one?" Sean presented the stone to Amina.

"Yes... it’s definitely that!" Apparently, Amina had also been present at the gemstone auction, so she recognized this jewelry box.

"Really?" Aria had initially been somewhat skeptical, but upon Amina’s recognition, she couldn’t help running out from behind the screen, her eyes fixated on the jewelry box in Sean’s hands.

Upon seeing the gem in the jewelry box, Aria murmured:

"It’s it... it’s definitely it... oh my God!"

Looking up at Sean, her face and eyes expressed gratitude, surprise, incredulity, and disbelief:

"Mr. Knight, you really have it!"

"You..." Sean pointed to her face, "Can you show yourself like this?"

There was no veil on Aria’s face.

"Ah!"

With a scream, Aria covered her face and ran towards the screen.

In her haste, she knocked the screen over!

A scream followed by the sound of something being overturned instantly piqued the curiosity of those nearby and those with keen hearing.

On this yacht, Douglas joked:

"What did the boss do over there to cause such a commotion?"

"Put your crooked thoughts away, it’s broad daylight!" Elijah glared at him, "Perhaps they have messed something up."

Douglas, of course, understood Elijah’s intentions to defend Sean; he chuckled sheepishly, "I was just joking."

Meanwhile, things became significantly lively on Aria’s yacht!

Aria’s cry, coupled with the falling screen, had prompted all the serving ladies and guards who had been ordered to stay in their cabins not to come out, to stream into the living room, disregarding everything else.

The first to arrive were several guards, these female guards held either curved knives or pistols, looking as though they were facing a formidable enemy!

Upon hearing the scream, Sean knew something had gone wrong!

As Aria knocked over the screen, he immediately rushed to prop it back up and whispered:

"Calm those who are coming first!"

He then promptly returned to his original spot.

So, when the guards and the maids entered the living room, they found that everything had returned to normal, with no sign of trouble.

The captain of the guard cast a wary glance at Sean, then bowed to the screen and asked:

"Your Highness, did something happen?"

"Nothing happened, I just learned of some joyful news and got a bit overexcited. You all can leave, there’s no problem."

Although Aria hadn’t completely calmed down, she knew she couldn’t let more people know about this, so that’s what she said.

After giving Sean another suspicious glance, the captain of the guards said to Aria:

"I understand. Your Royal Highness, please inform us promptly if anything happens."

They spoke in their native language, so there was no need to worry that Sean would understand.

After the guard and maids left, the living room quieted down again.

The silence felt eerily strange.

Sean recalled reading in some novel that some Middle Eastern women are extremely conservative, and their skins could only be seen by their husbands.

Having seen Princess Aria’s face, would he...

He couldn’t help but let his mind wander.

Then, he immediately reminded himself not to entertain wild imaginations!

Aria currently had a face as red as an apple!

No men, except for her family members, had ever seen her looks, and this moment of over-excitement - given that it concerned her future happiness - made her forget her guard.

Now, her face had been seen by Sean!

If they followed the tribal rules, she would have been stoned!

Though she was a princess, if word of this got out, her reputation would be ruined!

Luckily, only Amina and... Sean knew about it now.

"Mr. Knight, please... do not... speak of this..."

Aria’s voice trembled. She wasn’t sure if Sean would keep it a secret.

After all, it’s said that men are inherently boastful.

Her brothers and cousins often brag about conquering some female celebrities.

She really hoped he wasn’t like them...

"Rest assured, I will definitely keep this a secret." When it came to a woman’s reputation, Sean’s attitude was very earnest.

"Thank you, Mr. Knight." Aria and Amina echoed in unison.

Amina added:

"Mr. Knight, we really take this matter very seriously, it’s extremely severe..."

"I really understand." Sean sighed, "In our ancient times... there was a period when women were no less despised than you. I get it..."

"That’s good, that’s good..."

"That gem..." Aria felt like she didn’t get a good look at it previously.

"Take it and have a look first." Sean stood up and passed the jewelry box to her.

Amina immediately, and almost in a small sprint, came over to take the box.

She seemed to be afraid that Sean would go to the screen and hand it to Aria directly.

If the two of them had skin contact... the princess would really be doomed...

After giving the box to Amina, Sean sat back down and started genuinely enjoying his tea.

The tea was really good.
