Chapter 561: Chapter 377: The Dumpling Princess Comes_2
She looked at Sean Knight seriously and said the word:
"Painite."
After saying this word, she kept staring at Sean Knight’s eyes and expression, trying to find some clues from here.
Unfortunately, Sean Knight’s expression was always calm, and he didn’t speak, but waited for the other party to continue.
Amina nodded, indicating that’s it.
Sean Knight shook his head and said:
"I don’t know what you’re talking about."
No one else knew about him obtaining this gemstone, and he wouldn’t reveal it directly to a stranger.
"After Mr. Harrison’s plane crashed, the wreckage did indeed fall here, and we did indeed collect Mr. Harrison’s remains. But I don’t know what stone you’re talking about."
Amina hesitated, could her master guessed wrong?
"Mr. Knight, this is no joke, we are willing to offer ten million dollars — the market price is only 6 million dollars!"
She wondered if Sean wasn’t revealing anything because she hadn’t made an offer?
After all, it was someone else’s belonging.
When Sean heard the price of ten million dollars, he shook his head slightly and said:
"I really don’t know what you’re talking about. I think you should ask Harrison’s assistant Caroline, or Captain White who is responsible for salvaging the plane wreckage. They are most likely to know where that stone is."
Amina shook her head, saying:
"We’ve already asked. Caroline only knew about it after the accident. As for White, he didn’t salvage the gemstone at all."
"Then I’m helpless." Sean Knight shook his head and said, "Maybe a sea fish has eaten that thing as a snack, or maybe Mr. Harrison never took it on the plane..."
"Impossible." Amina interrupted Sean Knight’s words, "We were with Harrison in Southeast Asia, and the gemstone was eventually taken away by him. When White came to salvage it, we had already agreed with him that as long as it was salvaged, we would buy it at a high price."
Saying this, Amina stared at Sean Knight again:
"Mr. Knight, we came with sincerity. If you think the price is not enough, we can discuss it further."
Sean Knight shook his head:
"I really don’t have it, sorry."
After he finished speaking, he extended his hand.
Amina had no choice but to return to the yacht helplessly.
"Ten million dollars, and it can still go up! This gemstone is really not cheap!" Douglas Cooper watched Amina’s figure and couldn’t help but sigh.
"If you know what kind of gemstone it is, you would know that this value is actually not expensive." Sean Knight smiled and said.
"Boss, do you know that painite...some stone?" Douglas Cooper’s eyes lit up, and he asked excitedly.
"What, trying to get information from me?" Sean Knight looked at him with a smile.
"No, no, no." Douglas Cooper chuckled awkwardly, "I’m just curious."
"Curious? Look it up yourself." Sean Knight threw down a sentence and turned and left.
He had been on the boat for a long time and was eager to walk on solid ground and regain the feeling of being grounded.
Leaving the port, Sean Knight drove an electric vehicle on the smooth asphalt road at high speed. This feeling was much better than being at sea.
Since Eve Bell and Lana Brown were both working on the renovation of tourist facilities somewhere on the island, Sean Knight went straight there with the electric vehicle.
Fortunately, the distance was not too far, ten-plus kilometers, and the electric vehicle had enough power.
"How did you get here?" Lana Brown, wearing a safety helmet and discussing architectural styles with her mother and technicians, was happy and somewhat surprised to see Sean Knight.
"The matters at the port have been resolved, so I came to see." Sean explained and greeted Eve Bell: "Hello, Auntie."
Eve Bell nodded with a smile.
"Are you used to it here, Auntie?"
"I’m very used to it. It feels like I’m back in my homeland, but there are fewer people."
"Once the infrastructure is built, and your tourism projects are completed, there will be more people."
After all, this is a tropical zone with no four seasons, only one, so tourists can come anytime.
Eve nodded and then said to Lana Brown:
"Lana, don’t worry about things here for now, just go hang out with Sean and take a break."
Lana Brown asked excitedly:
"Really?"
"Of course it’s true." Eve smiled and said, "Go ahead."
"Aww, thanks mom!" Lana Brown smiled, took off her safety helmet, and ran towards Sean’s electric vehicle.
"Auntie, we’re going now." Sean greeted before driving away on the electric vehicle.
Eve watched their figures in the distance, and then said to the technician:
"Let’s continue, here..."
Sean drove around with Lana Brown. Lana didn’t sit in the back seat but insisted on squeezing into the driver’s seat with Sean.
"If we were in the city, we’d get fined and have to take a class."
"But we’re not in the city now!" Lana Brown, who hadn’t seen Sean in a few days, was quite clingy and said coquettishly.
"Alright," Sean pampered her and touched her hair, "How have you been recently?"
"Pretty good. My life has been fulfilling, no one bothers me, and I’m doing what I like... But without you, there’s a big emptiness in my heart."
What sweet words!
Sean felt warm in his heart.
The two drove around for a while before arriving at the beach.
Sean took a portable stove from the electric vehicle and started boiling water.
Then he took out a mat and an umbrella, set out some food, and said to Lana Brown:
"Rest here for a while. I’ll get some seafood and we’ll have a picnic here for lunch today."
"Sure!" Lana Brown agreed with a smile.
Sean went to the beach, carrying a bucket and searching between the rocks.
Originally, if he couldn’t find any, he planned to take some out of the spatial realm. However, he didn’t expect the resources here to be so rich and soon filled half a bucket.
After washing the seafood clean with seawater on the beach, Sean brought them back, cooking some by boiling and some by grilling.
He was quite skilled since everyone usually did these things together on the yacht.
Seeing Sean busy, Lana Brown joined in to help with a husband-and-wife kind of feeling.
Even though it was simple, their natural world for two was particularly amusing.
When the seafood and barbecue were ready, Sean "took" some beer from the electric vehicle. The two of them drank and chatted, feeling quite at ease.
After they had their fill, Sean decided not to leave. He took out a single-person folding tent, set it up, and laid out mats inside. The two then rolled in together.
They didn’t come out until it was almost dark, and an indescribable smell drifted out with them.
"Let’s go to the command headquarters," Sean said with a smile, "It’s still more comfortable in a room."
Lana Brown answered softly with a nod and then helped Sean pack up before they headed to the command headquarters in the car.
After two days at the command headquarters, Sean received a phone call from Elijah Hastings from the harbor.
"Boss, Amina is back, — she says her master wants to speak with you personally."
"Her master?" The image of the beautiful girl flashed through Sean’s mind.
"Did she say what it’s about?" Sean didn’t agree immediately but asked a question instead.
"It’s still about the gemstone," Elijah said. "By the way, she also said that she hopes you’ll make a decision after listening to her master’s story. This matter concerns her master’s lifelong happiness."
Sean wasn’t very interested originally, but after hearing her words, he felt that it would be necessary to listen.
Lana Brown had become a little restless after those two days. Hearing Sean’s words implied he had business to take care of, she immediately said:
"Sean, you should get to work if you have something to do. I need to work with my mom on the design too. The sooner we finish, the sooner we can let domestic tourists in, and the place will be livelier."
"Alright." Sean responded, "Don’t tire yourselves out."
He was also curious about what the other party could discuss.
