Chapter 554: Chapter 374: Pie Falling from the Sky - This Luck, No One Can Beat!

On the sandy beach, Sean Knight was picking up seafood from water puddles with a bucket in his hand.

The tide had just ebbed in this area, so some fish and shrimp were hiding in the not-yet-dried water puddles.

Sean was very interested in this type of activity, where all you had to do was reach out and pick up your collection.

After all, he had always heard of the story since he was a child – "The Little Girl on the Ocean" was a song he knew in primary school, but he never experienced it until he left China for the Beautiful Country.

So even though he had more opportunities and had done this a few times afterward, his love for it grew stronger.

"Actually, I think it’s mainly because of the rich collection." Douglas Cooper, who was not far away at a sand pit, said while drinking a beverage and speaking to Lincoln Harrington:

"If you let him go to those tourist spots like Sanya to catch seafood, he’ll have to get up before dawn, carry a bucket, and pick for two hours. If he doesn’t even get one kilogram of seafood, will he still like it?"

Lincoln didn’t reply, but his expression spoke volumes.

Gathering something weighing less than a kilogram in two hours – what was the point?

"I’m telling the truth! Do you have any idea how many tourists there are and how many of them come specifically for seafood? What’s more, so much seafood has been salvaged over the years, and there’s not much seafood left!"

After Douglas had explained, Lincoln believed him.

Sean had keen ears, and as he put an octopus into the bucket with a pair of tongs, he turned around and said,

"Douglas is right. If there were no gains, I wouldn’t like it. But luckily, we have a lot of seafood on our domain, and it’s easy to process – just grill or boil it, it’s so convenient."

Lana Brown and her mother had been busy surveying the whole of Big Island over the past two days. Some areas still needed a redesign, so they didn’t accompany Sean.

If love could last for so long, would they be spoiled with attention? Now is the time for career building, so Lana Brown put more of her thoughts into planning the island’s tourism.

Of course, the main reason was that Evie Bell was there. The two naturally had to demonstrate a slightly more serious demeanor in front of her.

Evie also hoped that Lana would focus her energy on her career.

According to her, she had been in love and graduated not long before she fell in love with Lana Brown’s father and subsequently got married.

At that time, she didn’t think much about it, she just thought once she had love, she had everything she needed.

But she never expected that the Brown family would heavily favor men over women and be very traditional – the kind of feudal tradition.

By the time she realized all of this, it was too late.

Plus, after Lana’s father died, life for the two of them became even more difficult.

Even if Evie wanted to go out and do something, the Brown family wasn’t happy about it.

If it weren’t for Lana’s eventual breakthrough, the mother and daughter’s lives would have been tough in the latter half of their lives.

Luckily, luckily.

So Evie decided that she must tell Lana to have her own career.

Being able to participate in Sean’s business landscape by occupying a certain position was inherently a fantastic opportunity.

Sean didn’t comment on it, but Lana wholeheartedly agreed.

So, Sean had some free time on his hands.

After collecting almost a bucket of seafood, Sean brought it over, and everyone cleaned and cooked it together – some were boiled, and some were grilled.

Just then, a whistling sound came from the sky.

"When did the flight route start here?" Sean looked up and saw an airplane flying in this direction.

It was a passenger plane, but it didn’t seem very large.

"No clue – who knows? It might be someone’s private airplane." Douglas glanced at it, then lowered his head to continue grilling the octopus. "By the way, boss, are you going to buy a couple of planes once our island’s airport is built?"

"Yes, I’ll buy them," Sean said. "I’ll buy a luxurious private plane and a medium-sized passenger plane. Then, when the tourists come, our plane can land directly on our island. How great would that be?"

"It’d have to be more luxurious than the one in the sky," Douglas laughed. "That one doesn’t look very impressive..."

Before he could finish his sentence, a sudden explosion sounded from the sky, and the airplane burst into flames hundreds of meters away from them.

A fireball burst from the tail end of the plane, which then broke into two pieces.

The tail part was small and the front part was large. Both sections, now without power, fell forward and downward swiftly with inertia!

"What the hell is going on?"

As the plane exploded in mid-air, the four people present were all baffled!

Immediately afterward, the larger front part of the plane exploded again, shattering into countless pieces that fell into the sea and onto the island!

"Take cover!" Sean shouted and immediately looked for a place to hide.

Fortunately, they could see that most of the plane’s debris flew over their heads from a few dozen meters away and then fell into the sea.

The sea surface was stirred into a flurry of splashes.

Sean could see that the largest fragment was as big as one or two rooms and when it fell into the water, it churned up a water column several meters high, followed by waves rippling outwards.

Bits and pieces of debris fell around them.

"Bang!"

"Damn!"

Douglas saw a man’s body hit the sandy beach not far away, splashing up a spray of sand.

Although the man could be identified as male, he no longer had legs and his body was terribly burned>.

"Bad luck!"

Sean looked up at the sky and judged the trajectory of the debris before stopping. He determined that no debris would fall around him.

However, in the next moment, two pieces of debris in the sky suddenly collided, and one of them lost its speed and fell right in front of Sean.
