Chapter 552: Chapter 373: The Inevitable End

Sean Knight received the report from Elijah Hastings on the second day.

At this time, Sean had already determined that there should be no sunken ships or treasures in the nearby sea area, so he and Douglas Cooper took the boat to the beach nearby and basked in the sun.

This was the original sandy beach of the Big Island, not the other two transformed ones. Thus, there were many marine life here—they had already gotten used to living here and weren’t afraid of the two-legged humans they had barely seen.

Even a sea turtle crawled onto the beach from afar, basking in the sun as if no one was around.

Sean wondered if it would find a place to lay eggs that night.

However, they were the natives here, so Sean did not interfere.

Although he was the current master.

Then he heard the satellite phone on the nearby small table ringing.

Picking up the phone, he heard Elijah’s voice:

"Boss, everything is done. The stuff has been moved, and the people are in their original place, all set."

"Alright, you guys rest for two days and come back."

"Should we rest? Do you need us over there..." Elijah worried that Sean might need them.

"It’s fine. It’s over here too." Sean said, "We’ve been around and found nothing, so this time, it’s basically over."

Hearing that it was over, Elijah was a bit disappointed, after all, treasure hunting was an exciting thing. Although they didn’t find anything this time, searching for treasure underwater was really interesting for them.

"Alright, we’ll slowly come back then." Knowing that there was nothing going on, Elijah said, "So, boss, do you need anything? I can bring it to you from here."

"Regular supplies." Sean said, "Your yacht can’t hold too much, just bring some storable fruit."

The Island has no shortage of food. Even if there was no food, with the hard work of Chinese people, seeking food from the sea would be no problem.

There were also no shortage of vegetables on the island—when they first landed on the island, the workers had started cultivating vegetable plots near the construction site.

Now there were more than ten different varieties, even better than what they had eaten in Jakarta.

But fruit was an issue. The island didn’t produce fruit originally, and even if they were to plant fruit now, it would take several years for it to bear fruit.

So Sean was craving fruit.

"Alright, no problem." Elijah agreed and hung up the phone.

Sean continued sunbathing after putting down the phone.

He had gotten a bit darker after these days at sea.

But it might be because of the energy, he hadn’t become especially dark, but rather a healthy skin tone.

This made Douglas Cooper and the others very envious.

Although Douglas and the other three had tanned weaker than ordinary people, it was almost equivalent to a dark African level.

So they were still somewhat dissatisfied.

Fortunately, with previous experience, it would only take some time to recover.

In the afternoon, Lana Brown came over.

"The salvage ship will arrive tomorrow morning." The first thing Lana did when she arrived was to report this to Sean.

"Let it come." Sean said indifferently, "Is Leroy Brown coming over?"

"Yes, it’s him." Lana nodded, "The tribe leader wants me to take over, but I didn’t agree. I said I have my own things to do. By the way, my mom is coming with the salvage ship tomorrow."

"Have you arranged for a place to stay?" Sean asked, "Do you want to stay in Jakarta first and then come over when a suitable residence is built here? After all, there are fewer people here and the conditions are not good."

Seeing Sean caring so much about her mother, Lana felt more at ease:

"No need, no need. I’ve actually already told my mom about the situation here." Lana smiled and nestled in Sean’s arms, saying, "My mom said it’s fine as long as I’m happy with it. Now that the tribe has given me freedom, she will be wherever I am. By the way, my mom actually studied in China, from elementary school to university. So she will definitely be able to adapt to life here."

With this said, Sean was relieved.

However, he was still a bit nervous, after all, it would be his future mother-in-law.

Lana sensed the change in Sean’s body and expression and hugged him, saying:

"Don’t be nervous. My mom said she thinks I found a good home after hearing about you. By the way, she also said she would come and help me with this tourism project."

"Great," Sean laughed, "As long as Aunt Eve is willing."

Lana then told Sean about her ideas for the remodeling project on Big Island. After listening, Sean said:

"I’ll allocate a million dollars to you first, spend it. The construction project quality must be good, and safety must be guaranteed. If there is anything you need me to coordinate, just let me know."

Lana nodded, although a million might not be enough, but looking at Sean’s posture, there would definitely be more money later.

So her ideas could become a reality step by step.

Early the next day, the salvage ship arrived at the port.

Lana’s mother, Evie Bell, looked around forty years old. Although she looked haggard, her elegant demeanor did not disappear.

Sean went forward politely and greeted, "Hello, Aunt Eve!"

"Good, good." Evie Bell smiled and looked Sean up and down, then said, "Lana praised you a lot. I thought she was exaggerating. But after seeing this island, I think she didn’t say enough. Mr. Knight, you have great vision and courage to take down such a big island here and carry out such a large-scale remodeling project!"
