Chapter 551: Chapter 372: Good Luck Continues, Danger Lurks_2
However, after making several turns, there was still no trace of the shipwreck.
It appeared that the sunken ship had already been salvaged and was gone.
Bringing up several sea snakes, Sean Knight climbed onto the deck; he had started to enjoy their taste in the past two days.
Seeing Sean come up empty-handed, Douglas Cooper knew the search was unsuccessful and said with a smile:
"In my opinion, we’ve probably already salvaged most items in this underwater area. Boss, should we try searching in a different area?"
"Alright," Sean agreed.
"Okay, I’ve cooked up some seafood here and also prepared ginger with vinegar. Let’s eat something first, and then we can head to a new location."
Without any hesitation, Sean ate some seafood and then took care of the sea snakes.
Douglas followed Sean’s instructions and started the boat.
They were not far from the South Sea. As they approached the maritime defense line, they stopped.
Luckily, this area was not a busy sea route or a prime fishing spot, so there were few people around, and no marine patrol boats came by.
After dropping anchor, Sean had already started stewing the sea snake.
"I’ll go down first, and you watch the pot over a low heat. It should be ready by the time I get back."
Although Sean had never made sea snake soup before, he had eaten snake meat on land and thought it should be similar.
Douglas agreed, and Sean put on his diving equipment and entered the water.
The underwater resources were abundant, but there were no large schools of fish.
Also, due to the complex underwater conditions, ordinary fishermen wouldn’t come here – if they cast nets here, they’d get caught.
Sean dove down and found that the water was much shallower in this area, with an average depth not reaching thirty meters.
However, the seawater was extremely clear, and there were many diverse marine organisms – some of which Sean had never seen before.
Sean slowly descended to the seafloor and activated the Sky Eye to begin searching.
This underwater area was pristine, with abundant coral. Sean not only spotted several pink coral colonies but also a few deep red ones.
These were all extremely precious underwater treasures.
However, since the corals were still alive, Sean decided not to disturb them.
In any case, they were within the territory of Big Island, and if necessary, they could come and collect them at any time.
As Sean inspected one area after another, he finally realized that their luck might have run out, or that all the sunken ships had been salvaged.
He also found the end of the current – this thin current was a branch of the South Sea’s main ocean current. Further ahead, they would reach a major shipping route that international underwater thieves had salvaged countless times decades ago.
There was once a shameless man who, in order to increase the value of the underwater items he had salvaged, used explosives to blow up an entire ship of exquisite porcelain.
So Sean had no intention of going any further.
He started heading back while taking a look at any specialties in this marine area.
At the same time, Elijah Hastings and Lincoln Harrington set off with the robbers towards Jakarta Port.
They specifically adjusted their schedule to arrive at the port at night.
After docking their yacht, the two of them escorted the robbers to the parking lot.
After searching for a while, they found a white sedan and discovered the keys under the front wheel of the car.
Mr. Brooks is as thorough as ever," Lincoln said, smiling as he opened the large bag to find ready-to-eat food, water, and some tools. "Are we taking action tonight?"
"Yes. The faster we act, the better," Elijah replied while driving.
The two robbers had revealed the warehouse’s location during separate interrogations, and both had given the same place.
For safety’s sake, Elijah and Lincoln decided to bring the robbers along to avoid any surprises.
They drove to a warehouse district on the outskirts of Jakarta.
"Building 3-14, this is the place," Elijah and Lincoln had one of the robbers, who had his mouth stuffed, by their side, while the other was left in the car.
"Open the door. Let me remind you again that you can alert the people inside in any way you choose," Elijah whispered quietly:
"But you can feel the knife at your lower back. I can guarantee that no matter who you alert, the first one to die will definitely be you!"
The robber nodded repeatedly then shook his head, indicating that he wouldn’t dare.
Elijah removed the stuffing from his mouth and pushed him, gesturing for him to knock on the door.
The door was a normal wooden door, and they could see the light seeping through the bottom of the wooden door. The people inside were not sleeping.
"Bang, bang, bang!"
In an attempt to save his own life, the robber knocked hard on the door and then yelled out:
"Vinson, open the door! It’s me, Sullivan!"
"Sullivan? How come you’re back?" the person inside moves towards the entrancegate as they ask doubtfully, "Weren’t you with the boss looking for that Sean guy?"
"I came back for something, the boss told me to tell you." Sullivan sounds impatient and anxious.
The door opens.
Vinson remains vigilant, carrying a gun in his hand, watching Sullivan, waiting for him to reply.
There are two more people in the room who were originally eating, and now they are looking at the scene cautiously..
"Here’s the thing." Sullivan sees the gun in Vinson’s hand and loses some of his momentum, "The boss asked us to inform you guys, he encountered some tough guys over there, you guys should be careful, it’s best..."
Sullivan’s original plan was to deceive them into opening the door. As soon as the door opens, Elijah Hastings and Lincoln Harrington quickly move to opposite sides.
His casually made-up words get stuck in his mouth.
Luckily, Vinson hears something is wrong and becomes nervous, waving his hand:
"Come in, let’s talk inside!"
He steps aside to let Sullivan in.
However, at this moment, Elijah suddenly bursts in from the side of the door, his dagger thrusting directly towards Vinson’s chest!
Vinson’s mind is still thinking about what the boss said, and he’s distracted, by the time he reacts, he feels a chill in his chest as the dagger penetrates!
"Watch out..."
The men inside see everything clearly, they drop their things and try to help, but by then, Elijah has already stormed into the room, knocking Vinson to the ground, stabbing him twice more, and Lincoln has also rushed in, his shake stick already unfolded, smashing down at the incoming attacker!
Sullivan twists and flees!
His feet are still tied, it’s an extremely awkward and downright amusing sight as he hops away.
Then, Elijah flicks the dagger in his hand, planting it into Sullivan’s lower back!
With a scream, Sullivan goes down.
Elijah doesn’t care about him; he engages the other thugs who rush up empty-handed.
The opponent is carrying a stick, and his movements seem fierce.
But Elijah simply dodges the incoming stick, and lands a punch at the opponent’s neck.
He is knocked down instantly.
Elijah grabs the stick and bashes it repeatedly on the thug’s body.
The thug struggles at first, screams, and then falls silent.
Suddenly, Elijah stands up and throws the stick, knocking down Sullivan just as he’s about to get up.
Lincoln has already dealt with the thug in front of him. He drags Sullivan back in, looks at him, and shakes his head:
"He won’t make it."
"Leave him here," Elijah doesn’t worry about Sullivan. According to the boss, these people have blood on their hands, and living is a luxury for them.
After a quick check, they are sure that these people can no longer fight before they proceed to search the warehouse.
Upon examination, both Elijah and Lincoln become alarmed.
Not only does the warehouse contain stolen goods from the Brown family, but there are also a large number of prohibited items.
Various guns are neatly packaged and well disguised.
These thugs probably aren’t even aware of what’s inside!
Could these guys be planning trouble?
Both exchange glances, realizing that this matter could be quite serious!
"Better stick to the original plan. Report to the boss after it’s done and see what he says." Elijah suggests.
"Alright!"
The two immediately find the warehouse keys, knock out and throw the remaining robber inside, then lock the door.
Lincoln keeps watch while Elijah drives off, returning half an hour later with a large truck.
The two of them load the truck with the goods from the warehouse and transport them to another location.
It takes three trips to finish moving everything.
By the time they finish, daybreak is near.
"Alright, set it on fire," Lincoln throws away the empty gasoline barrel.
Lincoln lights a cigarette, tosses it into the warehouse, and the two drive away.
"Boom!"
