Chapter 549: Chapter 371: Follow the Vine and Catch the Big One, What’s Mine is Still Mine!_2
Elijah knew Lincoln’s temper, and it must be no small matter that made him angry!
"Boss, something’s going to happen! I need to go now..." Elijah was a little anxious.
"Don’t panic! They are fake!" Sean Knight had already recovered, "This boat isn’t a real marine police boat! These people are pretending to be marine police, their intention must be extortion and robbery!"
Elijah’s eyes grew wide:
"Boss, is this true?"
"It’s true." Sean pointed to the boat number and said, "Look, there’s paint. And think about it, do these ’marine police’, including their leader, have the same demeanor as the ones we met last time?"
Recalling the previous encounter, Elijah had to agree that something was off.
"So, they are fake." Sean said, "We will sneak around and board this boat, take down everyone here! Then everything will become clear!"
Elijah, a man of great skill and courage, agreed with Sean’s plan and went along with it fearlessly.
First, they tied a net pocket under the boat, then climbed up the motorboat from the back.
After removing their diving suits, the two quietly rounded the boat. On the deck, there were only four or five people, all facing the yacht and playing the role of marine police.
Sean and Elijah quietly approached, knocked out two of the people standing further back with a chop to their ears, and tried not to make any noise as they collapsed.
However, one of the more vigilant men turned his head and saw what was happening.
But before he could open his mouth and shout, Sean had already reached him and struck his throat with a punch, effectively disabling him!
Elijah took down the last person.
On the other side, Lincoln had already been tied up by two gunmen and was dragged to a small boat.
Douglas Cooper, still recovering from his injuries, was also bound and taken to the small boat. Two men stayed on the yacht while two others escorted the tied-up pair towards the big ship.
The two men who remained on the small boat entered the yacht’s cabin. Sean guessed they were preparing an ambush.
As the small boat reached the side of the big ship, the two fake marine police officers helped Lincoln and Douglas Cooper on board.
Since they had guns, both men didn’t resist.
Sean guessed that Lincoln was planning to take action after getting on the ship.
However, when Lincoln saw Elijah waiting at the rope ladder to assist him, his eyes changed, and a hint of a smile appeared. He then used his strength to climb onto the deck.
As the man behind him followed up, Elijah quickly knocked him down with a punch.
The man still on the small boat, thinking the man on the deck was disciplining Lincoln, reminded him:
"Don’t damage him too much; we have use for him later!"
He then pushed Douglas Cooper up the ladder.
Cooper, assuming that Lincoln had been beaten, tried to help him as soon as he reached the deck. However, he saw Elijah and the others instead.
Elijah was untying Lincoln’s ropes, as Sean pulled Cooper onto the deck.
The last fake marine police officer, still holding his gun, shouted:
"Pull me up..."
As soon as he saw Sean, he stopped.
Sean did pull him up, only to kick him in the temple as soon as he reached the deck.
Not expecting the boss to be so ruthless, Cooper pursed his lips, remaining silent.
"Next, we’ll go to the ship’s cabin and control the people inside!"
Sean assigned the mission, knowing there were still three men below. However, with Elijah and Lincoln’s skills, these three would definitely be caught.
When Elijah brought the three men up, Sean had already crouched down and started speaking:
"Now, we’ll split into two groups and interrogate them in the cabin to find out who these people are, why they came here, and how they targeted us."
Cooper and Elijah took over the interrogation, while Sean and Lincoln changed into marine police uniforms, busying themselves on the deck to make the yacht’s crew believe everything was normal.
Within 10 minutes, Elijah came up and crouched next to Sean to report:
"Boss, these guys have been watching us for a while – or rather, they’ve been watching you."
"Watching me?" Sean was confused.
"Yes. They’ve researched your background, knowing you’re skilled at treasure hunting. So, when you went out this time, they intentionally targeted you.
They planned to wait until you salvaged the treasure, then seize it for themselves."
Sean was surprised that he had already entered the robbers’ sights.
They had planned it very well!
"Besides, I got another message." Elijah Hastings wanted to laugh but held back, "The stuff lost by the Brown family was actually done by them as well.
The stolen goods are still in Jakarta, and they plan to smuggle our side away and sell them off together."
"What?" Sean Knight was even more surprised this time, "You mean Leroy Brown was robbed by the same people?"
"Yeah!" Elijah said with a smile, "Both sides’ stories matched-up, saying the same thing."
"Ok, let’s leave two of them and sink the rest along with their boat—"
Sean Knight turned to the yacht:
"Now we just have to deal with the remaining two robbers to end this."
Although they felt it was somewhat of a waste to sink the boat, Elijah didn’t try to persuade otherwise.
After all, with the boat around, there would be a hidden danger.
"Boss, Lincoln Harrington and I will dive in, swim to the back of the yacht, and finish off these two people." Elijah volunteered.
"Okay, be careful." Sean warned, "We’ve got guns here, so take them with you for safety."
Elijah went to find Lincoln.
Soon, the two men swam to the other side of the big ship and then onto the deck.
Sean Knight looked over at the yacht, suspecting that the attention of the two robbers might be on the deck at the moment.
It’s a pity that Sky Eye, although strong, couldn’t see such a far distance; otherwise, he could have observed it.
Soon enough, Elijah and Lincoln popped up near the yacht.
One of them circled to the bow, and the other touched the side of the boat on the deck and shouted:
"Lincoln, come help!"
It was, of course, Elijah who shouted, and then immediately sank back down.
A robber came out holding a gun, apparently intending to threaten the person who had just surfaced.
When he reached the edge of the deck and looked down, he found that there was no one there!
As he realized what was going on, it was too late. Elijah suddenly shot up from under the water, grabbing the man’s neck and pulling him into the water!
The other robber quickly came over to help, aiming his gun at the water, but with the water splashing, he couldn’t tell who was who and didn’t dare to shoot!
Just then, Lincoln, who had already climbed up, punched the robber from behind. The robber had only time to let out a half-scream before tumbling down to the ground!
Lincoln immediately dived down to help, but by then, Elijah had already fired two shots into the belly of the robber, who twitched once and then stopped moving.
The two cooperated to get the robber onto the yacht, and Elijah waved to Sean on the big ship.
The meaning was clear: they had taken care of the robbers.
"Alright, let’s go back." The ship was old and dirty, and Sean couldn’t stand it.
Sean Knight and Douglas Cooper, carrying the two bound robbers and the diving equipment, returned to the yacht by small boat. Elijah and Lincoln went back to the big ship, used the explosives left by the robbers on the ship, set up a timing device, and returned to the yacht, leaving immediately.
With a muffled sound, the big ship shook and then slowly sank.
"Elijah, you and Lincoln will take these two, and after we get you to the port, you’ll use Lana Brown’s yacht to go directly to Jakarta and get hold of the goods robbed by these robbers."
Sean Knight immediately assigned tasks on the boat.
"What about later?"
"Hide it in a reliable place, then come back." Sean said, hinting with his eyes.
They didn’t need to keep these people alive since they had killed many people before.
Elijah understood.
"Are we going now?" asked Douglas Cooper.
"Wait a minute, there’s still some stuff underwater. After we salvage it, they can go."
Douglas Cooper looked at Elijah and Lincoln with great envy!
However, his body was still weak and couldn’t go, so he could only watch.
Sean Knight and Elijah dived in, carrying ropes to salvage the five boxes one by one. Afterward, the yacht headed towards Big Island.
The port authorities saw the yacht returning and thought something had gone wrong again.
Afterward, they were reassured that there was no problem.
Without going to the pier, Sean Knight directly gave the robbers over while they stayed on the yacht.
Lana Brown was not in the port. Sean informed her by phone call, to which she had no objections.
Then Elijah and Lincoln left the port, driving the yacht at high speed towards Jakarta!
