Chapter 473: Chapter 333: Revenge, Must Take Revenge!_2
Sean Knight nodded.
After leaving the ward, Sean called Jason Caldwell.
Jason was at the freight yard, and Sean went there immediately with Elijah Hastings and the others.
"Bosuns, I’m sorry..." Jason was holding his head, and the faint smell of blood was in the air. Sean’s "Sky Eye" scanned over to see that Jason’s head had been cracked open for about seven or eight centimeters from the temple to behind his ear.
If it weren’t for great fortune, this could have killed him.
"Tell me what happened," Sean asked.
"Bondi Davis... he colluded with outsiders to take over the freight yard and was discovered by Ms. Kathy during a financial audit.
He tried to cover up the evidence but we managed to escape. By the time I took my brothers to look for him, he had already fled."
In short, that was the situation.
Jason’s face was filled with anger and shame.
It was Jason who introduced Bondi Davis and Clark Douglas, so when Bondi caused trouble this time, Jason felt partly responsible.
What was more important was that Kathy Lewis was hurt - he knew how important she was to Sean’s business.
Kathy being injured and almost dying made Jason feel so guilty that he almost had to go to the hospital himself.
"Did you find out who was behind Bondi?" Sean had no time to listen to his self-criticism, the priority was to find out the truth and get revenge.
"I don’t know," Jason replied with even more shame. "I sent all the guys at the freight yard looking for Bondi, but we didn’t find him.
In Bondi’s freight yard, he had everything cleaned up so we couldn’t find any leads - on the contrary, he had been using the freight yard to carry out illegal activities, which is more troublesome."
Sean’s brow furrowed.
If it were just a simple attempt to seize the freight yard, it wouldn’t be a big deal.
The freight yard was only a small piece of Sean’s industrial blueprint, and it wouldn’t be a big loss if it were let go.
But if the other party played dirty tricks in the freight yard and then cast the blame on him, it would be a big problem.
"What’s in the freight yard?" Sean immediately asked Jason. "What have you found?"
He was afraid that Jason would mention something like producing counterfeit money or drugs.
"I don’t know, but there are machines... the guys said that some of the stuff might be illegal..."
Sean immediately waved his hand to stop him and dialed a number on his mobile phone.
"Hello Paul, this is Sean Knight."
"Sean, you’re back? I heard your freight yard is in trouble, do you need my help?" Paul Walker’s voice was sincere, and Sean felt slightly relieved.
"I do need your help; I’ve run into some trouble here." After hearing Paul’s voice, Sean knew that the other party might have framed him, but they hadn’t closed in yet.
There was still a chance!
"What happened? Tell me." Although Paul was now a director, he was still very sincere towards Sean.
"The manager who used to be in charge of my freight yard betrayed me, and he might have put some contraband in there. I’m hoping you can send someone over to investigate."
As soon as Paul heard that, he knew it was a big deal and immediately said, "You wait at the freight yard, and I’ll bring people over right away!"
After hanging up the phone, Sean said to Jason and the others, including Elijah Hastings:
"Let’s go to the freight yard that Bondi was in charge of."
When they arrived at the freight yard, they found that it had been locked, with four men guarding the place and watching the comings and goings suspiciously.
Seeing Sean and the others approach, the men visibly relaxed a bit and smiled at Sean, showing their big white teeth.
"Open it," said Jason. "Has there been any trouble here today?"
"Two people tried to break in to steal, but we chased them away," said the tall and thin man leading them.
"Didn’t you catch them?" Jason asked, frowning. "Didn’t you say that if anyone came, you would try to catch them as much as possible?"
While Jason might appear humble in front of Sean, he actually had a lot of prestige in the eyes of these men.
The man quickly explained: "They were too fast, and we were afraid they would lure us away and let someone else in to cause trouble, so we didn’t dare to chase them too far..."
"Alright," Jason felt a bit regretful but couldn’t say anything. His subordinate was not wrong.
"Alright, open the door, and later cooperate with the police to have the inside sorted out properly."
"Yes, understood." Sean’s words reassured the men that everything should be alright.
These past two days, they had been very tense as the trouble was caused by people who used to work with them and those who currently do, which made them uneasy.
Now that Sean Knight said the police were coming and they had to help the police, does that mean everything is fine?
"Fortunately, there haven’t been many expiring containers in the freight yard these past two days, so not many people have come to pick up the goods." Jason spoke as he walked into the freight yard.
"Where’s the problem?" Sean asked.
"Those few containers over there." Jason pointed at a spot in the freight yard covered by some containers and said, "After Bondi escaped, there were still some black people who didn’t want to leave. They told me Bondi was up to something over there, and they weren’t allowed to see. So I went over and checked and found some machines and raw materials."
As Jason spoke, he went over and opened the container.
The door lock of the container was already broken, and a wrench had been used on it. This must have been done by Jason.
Sean looked and saw that there were indeed some machines and bags of raw materials.
He glanced around, turned on the Sky Eye, and was immediately startled!
In a container nearby, separated by a partition, was piled with stuff like rock sugar!
"Get me a wrench!" Sean didn’t know what purpose these things had, but he wasn’t willing to take the risk!
Jason immediately found a pipe wrench for Sean.
"You guys go register these machines and raw materials." Sean used the pipe wrench to break the container’s lock, then dispersed Elijah Hastings and the others.
Elijah Hastings and the others didn’t know what Sean was going to do, but they unconditionally obeyed his orders.
Entering the container alone, Sean touched and put all those rock sugar-like things into the spatial realm. After thinking about it, he took out some of the ores, food, and miscellaneous items that he had collected before.
Exiting the container, Sean wiped the sweat off his forehead—he was indeed scared earlier.
Those things, there were almost a few tons!
Driven by the deep-rooted aversion of Chinese people to these things, Sean was truly unwilling to leave the stuff here. According to the logic of Western people, if he left these things here, when Paul brought people later, they could blame it on Bondi and add to his charges.
However, Sean wasn’t willing to take the risk.
There were just too many of those things, and he couldn’t afford the consequences!
With this lesson in mind, he immediately used the Sky Eye and started circling the freight yard.
Luckily, most of the items were normal, and there were issues in only three containers.
In one container, there were at least a few hundred kilograms of powder.
After Sean opened it, he hesitated and took those things away.
Inside another container were a batch of firearms; at this moment, Sean had the heart to kill Bondi. He was trying to set him up!
To his surprise, inside an inconspicuous, small container that appeared to hold machines, there were stacks of US dollars piled neatly in cardboard boxes!
Sean had no qualms about taking these away, considering them as compensation for his scare.
Well, at least he didn’t lose out.
As Sean was checking the machines, the sound of sirens rang out, and three police cars approached the yard.
Paul, leading seven or eight police officers, got out of the cars and entered the freight yard.
Sean stepped forward and shook hands with Paul, who then hugged him.
Sean joked:
"Paul, you’ve gained weight again."
Paul helplessly shrugged his shoulders:
"I’ve been too busy; I haven’t been able to train. How’s the situation here?"
As Sean led Paul toward the machines, he explained:
"My butler found something wrong while checking the yard, and then the man managing the yard attacked my people before escaping. While my people were checking the yard, they found these."
He pointed at the machines and raw materials.
One of the police officers took a look at the machines and the materials, then told Paul:
"Director, these are ice-making machines. Judging by these materials, they can produce at least a few hundred kilograms of ice."
Paul’s expression suddenly became serious.
At this moment, the sound of a car came from outside the freight yard. Three large SUVs charged into the yard, and a group of men in black suits stormed in.
"Who’s in charge? We’re the FBI! We received a report that the person in charge here is suspected of drug manufacturing, and we’re taking you back for investigation!"
