Chapter 458: Chapter 326: Demons rise a foot, the Dao rises ten feet

Amara didn’t know why Sean Knight would offer such a high price; she hesitated for a moment and went to find her father.

Amara’s father didn’t want to return the 2000 dollars to Sean Knight, so he immediately agreed and then left the courtyard from the side door.

"If someone comes looking for me, tell them I’m not here," Amara’s father left with these words.

"Alright, let’s go in now," Sean Knight immediately told the others, "Douglas, stay behind. I have a task for you."

Douglas Cooper handed the video camera to Lincoln Harrington and then followed Sean Knight outside the door, where he whispered instructions to him.

Douglas smiled and left.

"Alright, let’s hurry up and shoot," Sean Knight said to Lincoln Harrington and then whispered something to Elijah Hastings.

Elijah understood immediately, taking Amara and the model Aya to shoot pictures and some short videos on the lawn and near the flower field in front of the bedroom.

Elijah occasionally "instructed" Aya and Amara to change poses. Amara originally planned to change clothes, but Elijah thought that the casual clothes they were wearing were good enough for today’s shooting.

Amara’s mother was busy in the kitchen and occasionally peeked out. Seeing that Elijah and the others were not trying to hide anything while taking pictures with Aya and Amara, she didn’t worry too much.

Meanwhile, Sean Knight quickly went to the back garden, aiming at a specific spot and using a shovel to start digging quickly.

He was strong and soon dug a deep hole.

However, the item was buried quite deep, so he still had to exert some effort.

Caprio Parker returned to Manila early in the morning.

Since making a fortune from treasure hunting, Caprio hadn’t had to rush out so early for a long time.

His reputation was well-known, and a group of people like Dubawnt Ramirez had gathered under him.

As long as he threw money around and spread the word, treasure hunting clues would naturally come to him.

Other people would take care of the preliminary preparations and follow-up work.

So, in recent years, Caprio’s treasure hunting mostly involved him going to the site and giving directions after everything was ready.

This was one of the rare occasions in which he had been directly involved from start to finish. Caprio was actually holding a grudge, but the outcome was not what he had expected.

So, he had to admit that he wasn’t as good as Sean Knight in terms of treasure hunting.

That’s why he rushed back to cut off Sean Knight’s advance.

You’re a great treasure hunter, right?

So if I take the place you found and start digging, it’s settled then, right?

Rushing over and patiently eating breakfast, Caprio planned to go to the big courtyard under Dubawnt’s guidance and sign the contract directly.

He believed that Sean Knight couldn’t be aimless in causing trouble here. Even if they were wrong, buying a large courtyard was still worth it.

However, as they approached a turning point near the big courtyard, their car slowed down, and a group of fifteen or sixteen-year-old teenagers surrounded it.

"Your car hit my little brother’s leg, pay up!" A 17-year-old boy waved a stick and shouted, hitting the car window.

Caprio understood that they had met extortionists – of course, he didn’t know the term, but he knew the concept.

Not wanting to cause trouble, Caprio intended to give these people some money to make them leave. He needed to get to the courtyard as soon as possible.

But the bodyguards in front of the car were used to dealing with emergencies. Two of them got out of the car to drive away the children. During the process, one child was pushed to the ground by a bodyguard, fell onto the curb, and blood leaked from his head.

The children were angry.

Originally, they were just paid to delay things for a while so that the car would be parked for about 10 minutes. After that, they would disperse, earning their money with a clear conscience.

But now that one of their friends had been pushed down and injured, the leading boy didn’t think this would do. Angrily, he shouted at the bodyguard:

"You injured someone, pay up!"

This time, he was genuinely yelling.

The other children helped the injured boy to his feet, and blood dripped down. The young boy was a bit scared, but his companions comforted him.

The bodyguard thought the children were trying to extort them and didn’t budge, continuing to wave his hands to drive the teenagers away, even threatening them with his words.

The leader realized that these people wouldn’t compensate them. He gave a signal and two children pretended to fall. They each took out sharpened screwdrivers and stabbed them into the car’s wheel, pulled them out, and the tire’s air hissed out.

The bodyguard immediately realized something was wrong. One of them immediately went to check the situation, while the other boy scratched a long mark on the car. The leading teenager yelled, and the young boys scattered and disappeared quickly.

Even a fool would know now that there was a problem with these teenagers.

However, Caprio was even more afraid to get out of the car now – in case something else happened, he was genuinely scared.

After all, these half-grown kids were fearless and capable of anything.

The bodyguard decisively called the police since Caprio was an important person.

The police arrived quickly and listened to the complaint. However, they didn’t have many solutions.

They said they had recorded the incident, and an old policeman quietly mentioned that these children often caused trouble around here; arresting them didn’t solve the problem.

He hinted to Caprio not to dwell on it, as long as no one was injured, the matter was over.

Although Caprio was somewhat unwilling, he had no choice but to send the car for repair and change to another car to move forward.
