Chapter 454: Chapter 324: Spit it Out if You Ate Mine!
Sean Knight and Caprio Parker ultimately parted ways unhappily.
Caprio clearly took advantage of his local boss status and the fact that there was no signed contract between them, so he bullied Sean.
Facing dozens of workers at Caprio’s construction site, Sean didn’t fight back. In fact, if he really wanted to, he could easily take out the weapons in his spatial realm and knock all these guys down in minutes.
However, Sean felt it was unnecessary.
"We definitely can’t let him get away with this, but since he’s offended us, it’s only right for us to seek revenge. We just can’t implicate ourselves,"
This was Sean’s explanation to Douglas Cooper on the way back.
Just now, Douglas also wanted to fight, as he couldn’t stand Caprio’s face and wanted to leave a mark with his fists to make himself feel better.
"So what should we do now..." Elijah Hastings was not ready to let things go either.
He had been with Sean the longest and knew that his boss was generally kind to others. However, if someone offended him, they wouldn’t get off easily.
That’s why he asked.
Sean said:
"Let’s go back to Manila first, and find his house there. Since he dared to trick me here, he’d better be prepared for me to turn his house upside down!"
On the other side, after Caprio fell out with Sean, he couldn’t help but feel uneasy. He immediately made a phone call to his house, asking the hired security guards to protect his villa.
Sean and his team drove to Manila and settled in a hotel.
In order to avoid being followed, Sean did not go out, while Douglas and Lincoln Harrington disguised themselves as tourists and began to gather information.
Two days later, they found out that Caprio had two properties in Manila: one villa and one large apartment.
"Also, Caprio runs a fishery and local produce company, which we didn’t expect." Douglas was getting more efficient in gathering information abroad and was quite quick.
"Let’s put that aside for now, and scout out the villa and the apartment to see when it would be easiest to make a move."
Sean decided to go with them.
"We’ll split into two groups, targeting both places. First, we’ll recover our losses, and it’s fine if we get more than that. Just try not to hurt anyone."
According to the information from Douglas, Caprio was not only married with a wife and children, but also had a mistress.
The mistress lived in another apartment, but Sean didn’t consider it as a target.
Two days later, Douglas and the others had a clear understanding of the security situation at the villa and the apartment. They drew maps and tables upon returning.
In the hotel, Sean and the others identified their targets.
"Lincoln, you and Douglas will go to the apartment, and I’ll go to the villa with Elijah." Sean was quite confident in his own skills; he just needed experience and the ability to react quickly.
"Boss, how about Elijah and I go to the villa?" Lincoln was worried.
"Don’t worry, I want to go personally this time." Sean smiled, "In terms of strength, I’m not worse than you guys. Now it’s the perfect time to gain experience."
With that settled, the four set out quietly after midnight.
"The security forces around this villa are on the outside," Elijah whispered to Sean.
Manila had just had a high-level shooting case recently, and wealthy people lived in the villa district. The property management had strengthened security forces, with patrols carrying batons passing by every few minutes.
"It’s fine, they seem to follow a regular pattern," Sean replied in a low voice.
Both of them covered their faces, swiftly and silently climbed over the wall, and entered the villa district.
Through the cover of trees and bushes, they quickly avoided the patrolling security guards and arrived at Villa 17 that Caprio owned.
The lights of the villa were already extinguished. Sean took out two infrared night vision devices and handed one to Elijah.
"Great stuff!" Elijah put it on and immediately noticed a hidden sentry inside the courtyard. Another one was at the entrance of the small building of the villa.
It seemed that both of them were awake.
If they didn’t have night vision devices and went in recklessly, they would definitely be discovered.
Elijah gestured, indicating that he would take care of the hidden sentry in the courtyard.
He slipped to the edge of the surrounding wall, wearing the night vision device.
Although the sentry was awake, he wasn’t particularly alert. Hiding at the edge of the wall, he was not very careful, thinking that if anyone entered the courtyard, he could definitely notice them.
If it had been before Elijah absorbed his energy, it might have been more difficult for him. But now, he silently climbed the wall and flipped over, landing quietly behind the hidden sentry like a falling leaf.
The sentry only felt a faint movement behind him. As he turned to look, Elijah chopped his carotid artery with one palm, knocking him out.
To be safe, Elijah took a towel soaked in ether and covered the sentry’s nose and mouth to keep him unconscious for a longer time.
Elijah knew that his boss wanted money, not to kill people. There was no need to kill anyone in the treasure hunt — it would be totally unnecessary.
After all, people are different from animals. If one were to kill anyone for money, there would be no bottom line.
With the man taken care of, Elijah made a bird call. Sean jumped in.
Using the night vision device, they scanned the entire courtyard and found no other hidden sentries. The two exchanged hand signs and made a plan.
