Chapter 422: Chapter 306: Mysterious Introducer

The document stated that the reward for helping the royal family find the treasure this time was 100,000 Euros.

Running a trip just for this 100,000 Euros, Sean Knight didn’t think it was worth it.

Of course, a big part of coming here was because the other party was the royal family.

It’s not that they wouldn’t offer their services for the royal family without payment, but Sean Knight and his group hadn’t stooped that low. After all, many European royal families, especially those in Northern Europe, had initially come from robbers.

And for those who were hard-kneed in China, they didn’t have much of a concept of the so-called royal family.

What Sean and the others liked about the royal family was their vast treasure - at least in ancient times, the royal family represented treasure!

So the clues they could provide would definitely be more reliable than ordinary people, right?

Therefore, Sean and the others came for exactly that reason.

However, even so, when they saw the 100,000 Euros, they still felt it was a bit too little.

Seeing Sean’s expression, Delton Suweton asked with interest:

"Does Mr. Knight have any objections to this contract?"

Sean couldn’t naturally say that the offered price was too low, so he changed the subject and asked:

"What exactly are we looking for? And I heard there’s a clue..."

"What we’re looking for can only be disclosed after Mr. Knight signs this contract and agrees to keep it confidential. As for the clue, it’s the same... because it’s quite sensitive."

Sean looked at the contract reluctantly, and fortunately, there weren’t any overly harsh conditions. It just required confidentiality or they would be held responsible.

There wasn’t anything else, so he signed it.

Since he had already come, he couldn’t just let it be a wasted trip.

When Delton saw that he had signed, he immediately showed a smile on his face:

"As the recommender said, you will definitely sign it. Now, let’s discuss the formal content... "

"Recommender?" Sean immediately thought of what Andrew’s butler had mentioned about an important person’s recommendation. He raised his hand to interrupt Delton and asked:

"Whose recommendation ?"

Delton shook his head and said:

"I can’t tell you unless the recommender himself comes forward."

Well, seeing Delton’s expression, Sean knew he couldn’t ask any more, so he didn’t bring up the topic again. He figured that if the person wanted to come forward, they would do so on their own.

"This time, we are looking for the princess consort’s crown." Delton said somewhat embarrassed, "The princess consort’s crown was originally kept in the King’s palace. However, a thief sneaked into the palace a while ago..."

"A thief?" Sean was somewhat surprised, "A thief could get in here?"

With a somewhat red face, Delton said:

"Yes, we didn’t expect it either. But the thief actually got in, mixed in with a group of visitors at the palace, and then stole the princess consort’s crown."

"And then?" Sean thought, could it be that they were asking them to find the crown? But they weren’t policemen, were they?

"The thief was later caught. In Stockholm. But the crown was nowhere to be found." Delton revealed the truth, "After interrogation, the thief said that he had hidden the crown but refused to say where."

Sean thought to himself, couldn’t they be a bit tougher on the thief?

"After analyzing, the thief could only hide the crown somewhere between Queen’s Island and Stockholm. Within this 15-kilometer range is where the crown could be found."

Sean secretly complained - a range of 15 kilometers, that’s quite a large area!

"Once the crown is found, we will provide the finder with a clue to the hidden treasure - the Nazi treasure!"

"I’m going!" When Sean heard the word Nazi treasure, he felt slightly sensitive - he had already made enemies with the organizations searching for these treasures. Now suddenly there was another clue in front of him, to take it or not?

If those people from the organization knew about it, would they come to bother him again?

After some thought, Sean decided to firmly accept it!

With a treasure clue in front of him, how could he turn it down?

It wouldn’t be those people just claiming these things as theirs, and they somehow just really belong to them, right?

So, when Sean Knight came to Salem and claimed it as his domain, did it actually become his domain?

Impossible!

Seeing Sean’s expression, Delton knew what he was thinking and smiled:

"Since Mr. Knight has agreed to search for the crown, let me show you a photo of the crown and give you some clues."

The crown was quite simple, a platinum base inlaid with diamonds and gemstones, exuding an elegant and luxurious vibe.

"After stealing the crown, the thief left the palace on foot and separated from the tour group. So, it’s likely that he didn’t follow the road during his escape."

Delton only provided this useful clue and then added some pressure for Sean:

"The other teams have already set out, and they have advanced equipment and rich experience. Of course, I still hope Mr. Knight will find the crown."

Sean understood his meaning, enough talk, let’s get to searching!

But before they began searching, Sean found Andrew Petrov and asked him to provide some food for his team, as hunger had finally caught up with him after getting off the plane.

After gorging on black bread and reindeer meat, the four set out from the King’s Palace towards Stockholm.

They walked in a straight line, each holding a metal detector, and searched for possible spots as they went along.

Douglas Cooper, while swinging his metal detector, feebly said:

"Why do I feel like an idiot? This is a 15-kilometer search! We don’t even know which route he took. Isn’t this like looking for a needle in a haystack?"

Sean, while activating his Sky Eye, replied:

"Don’t worry about it, since we’re here, let’s just give it a try. After all, they are offering a treasure hunting clue. That clue is the real prize. For that clue, we must give it our best shot."

At his words, Douglas stopped complaining – they might as well search. After all, 15 kilometers wasn’t too far a distance for them.

However, since they were searching, their pace was relatively slow.

"Huh? Has someone dug here before?" Elijah Hastings suddenly observed, "It seems like a fresh trace."

The others went over to find it at the edge of a slope by the road with a few stones beneath it.

This did seem like a plausible hiding spot.

"Has it already been found by previous groups?" Douglas worried.

"It shouldn’t have been. If they found it, they would notify the royal family members, and the royal family members would notify us." Sean looked up at the sky and said, "Let’s hurry up. We have less than three hours until nightfall."

When he looked up, a thought suddenly struck him.

The crown didn’t necessarily have to be hidden on the ground, right?

It could also be hidden in a tree!

Until now, they had been trapped in their fixed mindset that the crown was hidden in a cave or in the crevices of rocks.

Everyone had only been looking down at the ground.

But who could be sure the crown wasn’t hiding in a tree?

Sean immediately started scanning the trees with his Sky Eye.

There were quite a few trees nearby, some large ones with holes in them.

These became the focus of Sean’s attention.

Half an hour passed, and although they didn’t find the crown, Elijah Hastings and the others unearthed things like weapon fragments, bullet heads, and can boxes from the ground.

Meanwhile, Sean discovered squirrel food caches, bird nests, snakes, and broken glass and shiny paper hidden by crows or other birds fond of shiny objects in the tree holes.

Only the crown was still missing.

About an hour later, several figures appeared ahead of them.

Seeing Sean and the others, the strangers also seemed taken aback, then marched straight towards them.

There was no need to guess: they were definitely the rivals.

And Sean suspected that when they came face to face, pleasantries wouldn’t be exchanged!
