Chapter 391: Chapter 290: No Need to Do It Yourself_2
He knew about this organization.
Call them money-grabbers using lofty causes, or those who remember their grudges, either way they were troublesome.
The organization was notoriously vengeful, situated amongst a stubborn nation, with a very strong core kinship.
A single mishap could possibly trigger an endless cycle of revenge, which was a huge problem.
Robert hesitated, Sean knew he was having reservations.
"You really don’t need to think too much about it, just get the information on them, even a rough gist will do. I’ll put a bounty online."
When he said that, Robert’s heart clenched, he immediately asked:
"Is the bounty really 100 million?"
"It indeed is." Sean was truly furious. If it hurt his family, what was the point of having all that money?
"As long as you get me the info, I’ll mark a price on everyone from top to bottom, aiming to spend all of the hundred million!"
Robert took a deep breath:
"Then I’ll need energy to organize this information...some of it may require special means."
"One million dollars, how about it?" Sean was now financially abundant, indeed he was provoked.
Even if it meant using a cannon to kill mosquitoes, he’d prefer it!
"Good! I’ll send you the information after a day...as for your hundred million bounty, I’ll evaluate it at the time, alright?"
"Alright, first get the information." Sean relieved, hung up the call.
Seeing Elijah and his group gaping at him, Sean asked with some surprise:
"What’s the matter?"
Douglas Cooper asked eagerly with a hopeful expression:
"Boss, when the time comes, can I claim that reward? I’d agree to unpaid leave! A 100 million-dollar bounty! How much money would that be?"
"You think it’s easy to get?" Sean waved his hand, "It’s not just any anonymous third-party, they’re notoriously persistent! I’m offering a 100 million dollars, but I’m mainly aiming to attract hyenas! I’m counting on many-ants-devour-the-elephant strategy. There will be loads of people wanting the reward, if even one in ten people succeed, then I would have succeeded!"
Elijah and his group had a sudden realization!
Thinking about it, even they couldn’t resist getting involved, what about others?
There are plenty of people in this world who are willing to risk their lives for just a few hundred dollars!
This was not just a few hundred dollars! Even if one just hit the mark, it would be at least tens of thousands or even several hundred thousand!
There are way too many people risking their lives for a secure life, or even a normal life like others!
How many people would be attracted by a hundred million dollars?
If the information is obtained, like how the Americans did using playing cards to offer style rewards before, that organization would have a headache figuring out how to remain unrecognized.
Sean figured this matter should be taken care of. He trusted Robert’s capabilities and credibility. If not, he can just search online himself, he can always find a way to get what he wants from places unsearchable on normal internet.
At worst he would spend some more money, waste some more energy.
He also had a free mind, with no evidence, yet firmly believed in that organization.
Moreover, this was equivalent to open warfare declaration. If you dare touch my family, you will face my ultimate chase!
I won’t take action myself, I will let everyone in the world who wants money do it!
Sean started making money from 3000 dollars, he certainly came from grass roots background, knows that a hundred million dollars, no, don’t even mention a hundred million dollars, even if it’s ten million, one million, or even just a hundred thousand... The petty hoodlums in the Port would stab someone just for a few hundred dollars!
So Sean believed that once the bounty was issued, people from that organization would be close to being hunted by everyone.
Want to fight with me? I will smother you with money!
Robert’s call came sooner than expected.
Sean got the call early in the morning.
"Sean, I’ve found the key information," Robert’s first sentence made Sean very happy.
"Tell me, I’m listening."
"Here, I’ve basically confirmed that the people sent to your country are indeed from that organization."
Although Sean had already speculated, now that it was confirmed, he still could not help but fume!
"In addition, I have now collected information on 70% of the individuals in their organization. There are some that I have yet to collect, but I should have everything within three days at most! However, most importantly, I already have the information on the individual responsible for that incident!"
"Send it to me now! I’ll transfer one million dollars to you immediately!"
An enemy has a head, debts are owed to creditors. As long as he could find the right person, Sean Knight felt it wouldn’t be long before he made his move!
He never expected Robert’s intelligence sources to be so quick and efficient!
Sean did not hesitate and immediately transferred the money.
He believed that with a bounty of one hundred million dollars in place, Robert would not dare to play tricks, otherwise, he’d be the next target!
Soon, Robert sent over the information of an individual.
"Name, Rowe Carroll; apparent identity, a senior bank manager; actual identity, a middle-level manager in a secret organization, in charge of three teams. The leader of one team is Heine Victor, with members David and Cohen.
Heine Victor and David were recently murdered in Paris. Rowe started investigating potential targets for the assassinations of Heine and David and issued assassination missions against six targets and their families on the dark web half a month ago..."
The provided information was quite comprehensive, including Rowe’s family structure, lifestyle and even a photo.
Looking at the handsome and charismatic man in the photo, Sean found it hard to link him with a murderer who was cold-blooded and ruthless.
Robert subsequently sent over the information of dozens of people, though not as detailed as Rowe’s.
"I’ve sent over the information, you can verify it," Robert confessed from the other end, "I believe these pieces of information justify the money you have transferred to me - however, if you wish, I can take care of this Rowe guy for you, no charges!"
"No chance," Sean immediately refused.
He didn’t dare to take this risk. If they avenged Rowe after he was killed, it would cause big trouble.
Sean had to make sure that this was resolved once and for all!
"Offer the highest bounty for this Rowe, five million dollars! I’ll put a price on the others separately! I want them to know that unless they give in, the only outcome of this is the fish dying or the net breaking!
There are consequences for doing wrong!"
Robert didn’t continue speaking.
He didn’t expect the young, aspirational Chinese man, who was so full of sunshine in the past, had now become so ruthless!
In his eyes, killing Rowe would essentially end this matter.
But from watching numerous film and television programs, Sean knew that these kinds of organizations could be extremely petty, unlike ordinary people.
More importantly, he could not afford to gamble!
After transferring one million dollars to Robert, Sean then said to Elijah Hastings and the others:
"Let’s go, we are heading back."
He planned to stay at home for now. With Elijah Hastings and the other two around, at least he could feel sure about the basic safety of his house.
After making a phone call to Joseph Davis at the museum, they returned home.
Joseph Davis was slightly regretful. The Chen Plate was soon to be entered into the museum, and despite having invited the provincial television station to cover the event, it was regretful that Sean and his company were not present.
However, when Sean explained his situation, Joseph Davis immediately understood.
He also said, he would find an opportunity to communicate with his friends at the provincial headquarters and ask them to pay more attention to the situation.
Returns to the village, Sean was surprised to find that there were police booths at both entrance and exit of the village. Each booth was manned by several policemen. Particularly at the main western exit, there were two unfamiliar people being questioned by the local police.
There were also occasional patrols inside the village.
Seeing Sean return, many people greeted him with a smile.
Sean thought that they had acted pretty quickly!
With this level of security, he would feel a lot more assured.
When Sean returned, his family was very happy. At least this trip out was safe.
Sean mentioned that he planned to stay at home for some time before he left again.
Naturally, his family didn’t suspect anything, because this was what they had hoped for.
Sean had spent little time at home within the past six months, as he was busy dealing with the inheritance of Jeremy Knight’s estate. That he could now stay at home for a while made his family very happy.
The next day, Sean received the full set of information Robert had promised.
Moreover, his one hundred million-dollar bounty plan was officially launched!
