Chapter 386: Chapter 288: Aftermath of the Hidden Flower
A gray business car took advantage of the darkness and stopped by the surrounding wall of the house in front of Sean Knight’s home.
Elijah Hastings, hiding in a tree outside of Sean’s house, thought to himself that these people were pretty smart, knowing that parking directly in front of Sean’s house would likely wake people up.
A few dogs in the village barked, and as the car engine’s sound faded, the barking weakened.
With improving security these days, coupled with many villagers living in the courtyard in summer and going upstairs in winter, fewer local dogs were raised.
Six people, including the driver, got out of the car quietly, each carrying a weapon.
Elijah Hastings’ heart skipped a beat!
Five of the six people were armed with knives, and one had a homemade gun!
Through the night vision device, he could see it was a small caliber gun - not very powerful, but still a gun!
If he saw them, Lincoln Harrington and Douglas Cooper would have seen them too.
One of them was lying in the grass outside the house, while the other was in a tree across the street.
Elijah used hand gestures from the tree top, signaling them not to take any hasty actions and to wait for his command.
As the six people got out of the car, they put scarves on their faces, revealing only their eyes.
Compared with them, Elijah and his two companions were wearing night vision devices and could see very clearly.
One of the leaders went up and pushed the front gate, which was locked.
"Climb the wall!" someone ordered.
They immediately turned to the surrounding wall.
The decorative brick wall was only two meters high and easily climbed over.
The first one climbed over. The other side was a vegetable field, and he saw nothing.
Feeling that everything was safe, he knocked gently on the wall.
The other five people immediately began to climb the wall.
Elijah and his two partners silently climbed down the tree and approached the bottom of the wall. He could see clearly, as he reached out and grabbed the leg of the man with the small caliber gun.
The man had time to let out half a cry before Elijah pulled him down from the wall and punched him in the face!
With most of his strength behind the punch, the man’s eyes rolled back, and he passed out.
Douglas and Lincoln each grabbed an attacker as well, taking them down in just a few moves.
"Go in and help them!" Elijah said, grabbing the gun and climbing the wall.
However, the lively scene below the top of the wall left him speechless!
Three villagers were shining flashlights at the wall, and more than a dozen people were beating the three attackers with sticks, causing them to curl up and beg for mercy.
The villagers showed no mercy, especially when they saw the bloodied short knives in the hands of the attackers - clearly they had come to kill!
"You damn idiots don’t even know where you are, trying to run wild here; you’re asking for trouble!"
"What a damn disgrace, bringing such knives here, you trying to stab someone to death?"
"These Knight Family are such good people, never involving themselves in disputes and always willing to help others. They have a great reputation, yet you dare to come and bully them! You guys are so rotten!"
...
As they continued to curse and beat the attackers, a few more blows would render them unable to speak, leaving only screams.
The village chief shouted:
"Alright, stop beating them. They’ll die if you keep hitting them. Now tie them up and call the police! Look at what you did to Uncle Mark’s vegetable field. Tomorrow, come help fix it up!"
Laughing, the villagers agreed, putting away their sticks, while two of them came over with ropes to bind the attackers.
After tying up two people, they were preparing to tie the third attacker, who suddenly sprang up, brandishing a dagger at the person binding him.
"Watch out!"
People screamed, and some swung their sticks, but it seemed to be too late.
The dagger was about to plunge into the person when the one holding the rope kicked the attacker, sending him flying!
Sean Knight!
Mayor Shermer had said that Oscar Knight and his brother should stay out of this and stay at home.
However, Ralph Knight and Mark Knight were unwilling, as were Oscar Knight and Sean Knight.
The villains were summoned by them, after all, it would be too cowardly if they didn’t show up.
Sean didn’t get involved in beating the attackers, as there was no room for him. Instead, he had prepared the ropes for tying them up.
In fact, when thinking clearly, the most dangerous part is tying them up - after all, a dozen people have beaten the three attackers; even martial arts masters wouldn’t stand a chance.
However, binding them requires close contact, which is more dangerous!
That was why Oscar Knight and Sean Knight wanted to step in.
If they let the villagers get stabbed, their conscience wouldn’t allow it.
Unexpectedly, the attacker was quite resilient and stubborn. Despite being kicked and breaking two ribs, he still didn’t let go of the dagger, trying to continue stabbing someone.
His ferocity shocked a young man next to him, and he was in danger!
Bang!
A gunshot rang out, and the attacker couldn’t get up again.
Elijah, on the wall, holstered the gun and said to Sean:
"Boss, I didn’t shoot to kill, but he won’t be able to get up now. You can bind him."
Sean Knight laughed and said:
"Why bother binding him now? We need to bandage him up; otherwise, he’ll bleed to death."
It was only then that the villagers realized that Sean had arranged for backup!
Thank goodness Sean had arranged for backup, otherwise at least one villager would have been injured!
Mayor Shermer was a little ashamed but soon felt relieved.
Fortunately, Sean had arranged for backup!
Otherwise, this incident would not have ended so perfectly!
