Chapter 328: Chapter 259: Finally Out_2

The commotion was quite big, so people in the surrounding rooms poked their heads out, but quickly retreated.

These days, not many people want to meddle in others’ affairs, especially when they’re on vacation. Nobody wants to get in trouble.

The two were taken back to the room.

It was fortunate that Elijah Hastings and the others had two suites, so there was enough space to accommodate them.

Elijah and his companions spent the whole night questioning the intruders without any sleep.

No more attacks took place that night, apart from the thief and the two assassins who were conned into coming.

Although Sean Knight didn’t get much sleep, he was full of energy and didn’t care too much.

After daybreak, Elijah Hastings reported the situation to Sean Knight.

"These three assassins got the order online, and their target was to kidnap you. As for their employer, they don’t know. They are waiting for further instructions."

Elijah individually reported:

"This thief acted alone. He heard that the four of us, who are not well known, have come into a great fortune, so he wanted to get a piece of the action. Oh right, he wants to pay a ransom to redeem himself."

"How much?"

"300,000 dollars."

"At least a million!" Sean Knight waved his hand, "Does he really undervalue himself? His equipment alone must be worth quite a bit, right? Tell him to transfer the money and get out. Otherwise, hand him over to the police. As for the others, inform the hotel and call the police."

The thief hesitated for a moment but eventually paid the money. This one million, though, seemed to be the limit of his finances.

Sean Knight didn’t care that much.

After all, they were just passing through Hawaii, so Sean Knight had no intention of investigating these people further.

Hawaii is a tourist destination, and the local police probably wouldn’t let these criminals off easily in order not to tarnish their reputation—after all, Sean Knight was a celebrity. If he were to speak ill of the place, their tourism ratings would surely plummet!

Moreover, encountering four groups of thieves and assassins in one night was an incredible tale. If Sean Knight were to spread the news, it would most likely become a global sensation.

So, both the hotel and the police would know what to do in this case.

As expected, the police reacted quickly, and so did the hotel.

For such a "big customer" like Sean Knight, the hotel not only apologized but also offered him a VIP card—granting him a 20% discount for future visits and priority room access without advance booking.

After all, if the news about four groups of thieves and assassins infiltrating the hotel were to spread, the hotel would probably go out of business. Who would dare to stay there?

The police were just as polite. After taking statements in the hotel, they kindly stated that this was an extraordinary situation. Honolulu is safe, and they hoped Sean Knight would remain silent about the incident.

As a trade-off, the police would protect Sean until the moment he left.\

Sean was happy with the arrangement. After having breakfast in the hotel and under police protection, he went to the airport.

The rented airplane had arrived, and he boarded the plane to leave.

Those still eyeing Sean could only sigh as they watched the plane take off.

Nobody dared to think of attacking a plane, knowing full well the massive trouble it would cause.

They safely arrived in New York, and Sean gave Elijah and the others time off.

Sean took half of the million-dollar ransom paid by the thief, and the three of them shared the remaining amount—each receiving quite a substantial sum of money.

Upon returning to his villa, Sean immediately called Joanna Davis.

Half an hour later, she arrived.

Sean originally planned to discuss the treasure hunt in detail with her, but she tackled him to the bed instead.

We’ll skip what transpired...

Sean didn’t expect Joanna to be so proactive. After what happened the last time, he thought she would be hesitant, but it seemed she’d gotten a taste of it and craved more!

The two "battled" in bed for nearly two hours before finally stopping with Joanna unable to move again.

"Dear, why do I feel like each time you come back, you get much stronger?"

Joanna was not convinced. After all, she exercises too.

Moreover, Sean also let her absorb some of the energy, so the gap between them shouldn’t have widened that much.

But clearly, the gap in their fighting prowess was growing larger.

Sean couldn’t admit that he had absorbed energy from another holy relic, so he changed the subject:

"During this treasure hunt, I found a large number of Spanish ancient gold coins. Their value is about 100 million US dollars. Therefore, I will give a 5 million dollar bonus for providing the information."

Since the information provided this time was general information available to the industry, Sean offered 5 million dollars.

If it were exclusive information, he would pay at least ten million dollars to Joanna.

"You can decide whether to spend the money yourself or give it to your father."

Joanna thought for a moment and said:

"I will give my father 4 million, and the remaining one million I’ll keep for myself."

Sean smiled and didn’t say anything.

They father and daughter could deal with it themselves.

"Dear, let’s go to the nightclub and have some fun." Joanna regained her spirits and said excitedly.

Although there was plenty of money at home, she didn’t have much herself.

Now that she suddenly had this extra money, Joanna was excited.

Sean couldn’t refuse her lover’s soft appeal.

Would it be safe, right?

If they met ordinary hoodlums, he should be able to beat them, right?

This thought flashed through his mind, and then Sean changed his clothes and went to the nightclub with Joanna.

Sean also wanted to experience the feeling of the nightclub here. As a young man, he had been here for so long and hardly did any relaxing entertainment activities - of course, that didn’t count the one with Joanna.

There were hardly any people on the streets, but the nightclub was packed.

Flashing lights, revealing clothes, and the wildly dancing crowd, Sean watched the excitement but had no desire to join in.

Joanna saw the expression on Sean’s face and regretted bringing him here.

But Sean discerned her thoughts and smiled:

"It’s okay, let’s have fun. It’s lively."

Sean himself was a young man, but he hadn’t been to such a place before, so he felt a little out of place.

"Come on, dear!" Joanna pulled him into the club and started waving her arms and swaying.

"Handsome, want a drink?" At this moment, a beautiful girl came over and spoke to Sean.

This caught Sean off guard - he had been worried about Joanna being harassed all this time.

"Sorry, I have a girlfriend." Sean said, hugging Joanna.

The beautiful girl looked at Joanna and suddenly said:

"I don’t mind joining the three of us."

Sean was startled, was it this open?

He quickly shook his head. The girl left disappointedly.

As he was about to talk to Joanna, she showed a strange expression on her face.

Sean immediately opened his mouth:

"What are you thinking about?"

Joanna blushed:

"Nothing."

After dancing for a while, Joanna was tired but happy.

The two went to the bar to order drinks, finished them, and continued jumping.

Sean felt fine as no one came to harass him.

They danced until Joanna was exhausted, and then the two left to go home.

At this time, two yellow-haired, dreadlocked hoodlums came over. One of them played with a butterfly knife, and the other boldly said:

"Chinese boy, give us your money!"

Sean breathed a sigh of relief. This was normal, right? This was the New York he knew.

It would be disappointing if nothing happened during a night out here.

Joanna was a little scared, but Sean held her hand to reassure her. He then asked the two men:

"How much do you want?"

As he asked, Sean acted as if he were taking out his wallet.

"All your money!" Hearing Sean ask how much, the hoodlum playing with the butterfly knife brightened up and immediately shouted.

"All right, take it." Sean threw out his wallet.

The hoodlum without a knife reached out to catch it, but he didn’t expect Sean to suddenly let go and then threw a punch!

"Bang!"

The hoodlum was knocked to the ground!

As the other guy with the knife tried to stab Sean, Sean moved faster, grabbing his wrist and stabbing the knife into his own shoulder!

"Ah!"

The hoodlum screamed!

Without hesitation, Sean knocked both men unconscious with a few punches. He then searched their bodies and found two guns.

Fortunately, this was at the entrance of the nightclub, and the two hoodlums hadn’t pulled out their guns, or it would have been more trouble.

Destroying the guns, Sean finally felt relieved and left with Joanna.
