Chapter 320: Chapter 255: Unlucky Treasure Hunt_2

"So, what should we do...?" Douglas’s eyes lit up, asking.

"First, let’s eat something. We can talk about this later." Sean Knight thought this matter was not that simple, so there was no need to hurry now. Besides, being in a hurry was useless anyway.

The four of them quickly finished eating, and then Sean started distributing the tasks:

"Lincoln, you and Douglas stay by the tent, while Elijah and I will go take a look on the north beach to see the situation."

Having Sky Eye around meant that conducting a field survey was the safest option.

A hint of disappointment flashed in Douglas’s eyes, but he quickly agreed anyway.

Sean and Elijah carried large bags filled with diving equipment on their backs and walked towards the back of the island.

The further north they went, the more people they encountered.

Upon reaching the north beach, Sean found that there were at least twice as many people here as on the east side!

While the beach wasn’t completely packed with people, you could encounter someone with a metal detector every few steps.

From time to time, people would exclaim about their finds, but in the end, the stuff they dug up was either washed-up trash or worthless objects.

However, these exclamations attracted many spectators to join the treasure hunting team.

"Diving 500 dollars, beach treasure hunting 100 dollars, hurry up, only five spots left, five spots!"

They were charging for this too!

Sean heard two locals shouting, taking money while handing out ordinary handwritten cards to those who paid.

"Boss, should we go diving?" Elijah gave a quick glance at the beach, which was almost devoid of vacant land, and noticed that there weren’t many people diving in the sea. So, he asked Sean.

Sean didn’t reply immediately, deciding first to activate Sky Eye and scan the beach.

Huh?

To Sean’s surprise, there was indeed something worth their attention. However, seeing the crowd of people on the beach, he memorized the location and felt relieved, then told Elijah:

"Let’s go, we’ll take a look underwater."

Sean could easily see the beach items by walking around and using Sky Eye. But the underwater stuff was much harder to see; they needed to go into the water.

Without causing a fuss, Sean paid according to the rules, put on his diving equipment with Elijah, and went into the water, choosing a deserted area to begin their dive.

At a depth of about 10 meters, there were coral reefs on the seafloor. There were usually some swimming fishes in the area, but due to the recent influx of divers searching for treasure, the fishes had been frightened away, leaving only occasional small animals hidden beneath the sand.

Sean and Elijah searched around underwater, with Sean activating Sky Eye only to find nothing of interest nearby.

Occasionally, they would spot some metal in the sand, but it was mostly modern garbage or small items left by tourists.

However, Sean’s original intention wasn’t really to find treasure but to practice diving.

After diving for a while, they surfaced, removed their goggles, and, seeing the salvage ship in the distance, Sean considered going over for a closer look, but decided against it given his current diving skills.

Having swum around in the shallow water, Sean and Elijah decided to head back.

However, they didn’t want to waste their hundreds of dollars, so Sean started searching in the water, and soon found two big lobsters and dug out two flounders from beneath the sand, carrying them back to the beach.

This justified the cost of their dive.

Some treasure hunters on the beach were amazed as they saw Sean and Elijah carrying the diving equipment ashore with fish and lobsters in hand.

Sean and Elijah didn’t bother with them and, being strong, carried the diving equipment back to the tent.

"You guys start cooking, I’ll take a look around." Sean put away the diving equipment and strolled toward the beach.

Metal detectors were beeping on the beach, as people dug up things that mostly turned out to be garbage. They threw the trash aside, and the seawater would wash more sand over it, only for it to be discovered again by the next person...

The cycle went on and on.

With Sky Eye activated, Sean walked and searched around.

There was nothing eye-catching in the area.

"Hey, handsome!" A white girl in a swimsuit greeted Sean.

Sean nodded to her.

She was a decent-looking girl with a 6.5-out-of-10 appearance, but she had a large chest and seemed quite confident.

With one glance, Sean deduced her intentions and casually walked past her.

"Hey, handsome, how about we sunbathe together? My massage oil applying skills are excellent!" The girl didn’t expect Sean to ignore her. Stunned for a moment, she spoke up again, even licking her lips provocatively.

"Is your boyfriend too busy for you?" Sean suddenly said, "Are you trying to use this to get your boyfriend’s attention and then watch two guys fight over you with satisfaction?"

The girl was taken aback, realizing that it was indeed her intention.

When Sean Knight exposed her, she guiltily glanced at her boyfriend, a tall white young man.

Sean walked over nonchalantly, speaking to the young man playing with the metal detector:

"Hey, bro, how’s it going?"

The youth looked up, somewhat puzzled.

"Your girlfriend tried to seduce me; you’d better keep her in check!" Sean pointed at the girl.

The young man’s face immediately turned red, then he said to Sean:

"Thank you, you’re an upright person!"

After that, he threw the metal detector aside and angrily walked towards the girl.

Undoubtedly, from this perspective, Sean was a petty person.

Temporarily acting as a bystander, he happily laughed and continued walking.

After walking quite far, he looked back, and the man and woman were still arguing.

Not bad, not bad.

Feeling much more refreshed, Sean continued using his Sky Eye to search.

Sean was quick, circling the island and ultimately finding that other than the special point on the north side of the island, there were no other targets worth digging for.

It wasn’t that there weren’t any, rather it was unnecessary.

It seemed that other than this point, everything else was in the sea.

Sean hadn’t discovered anything in the shallow waters near the beach, so he eventually returned to where the tent was set up.

"Let’s eat first, then we’ll split into two groups to take turns diving. Even if we don’t find anything, we can practice our diving skills and simultaneously observe the salvage ships to see if they have any gains," Sean said as he looked at the three people preparing lobster barbecue.

"Okay," the three agreed in unison.

After eating their meal, which elicited envy from others, Sean and Elijah stayed behind while Lincoln and Douglas went diving.

At this time, someone came over to ask:

"Hey, man, can you help us cook a meal? We’ll provide the ingredients and eat together!"

"No." Sean refused directly.

Joking, have a billionaire cook for them?

The white youth wasn’t expecting Sean to refuse, his face immediately turning sour.

However, seeing the unapproachable appearances of Elijah and Sean, he complained and turned to leave.

Sean then tied a hammock to a nearby tree and rested.

Soon, a commotion arose, and Sean opened his eyes to see Elijah negotiating with someone, trying to get the person to quiet down.

But the person, who appeared to be a local, was loudly arguing and not listening to Elijah at all.

Sean listened and quickly understood: this local was here to collect money.

Collecting money for what? Hammock fees!

Sean suddenly became angry.

He could let the tent charges go, but charging for hanging a hammock near the tent as well?

"Elijah, drive the person away!" Sean figured out that the person was either here to scam money or was instigated by others to cause trouble.

He couldn’t indulge this!

Elijah had seen Sean pay multiple times without getting angry, so he thought Sean might do the same this time.

Who knew Sean’s "getting out of bed temper" would be so big!

However, he had had enough too. These people weren’t charging fees, it was clearly extortion!

"Leave, we’re not paying this!" Elijah flatly refused.

The person was a bit dumbfounded.

Why did they suddenly refuse after being polite before?

He became angry on the spot. However, in Sean’s eyes, it looked more like a bluff.

"You wait, I’m going to call someone! You won’t be treasure hunting anymore!" The person was shorter than Elijah, and couldn’t beat him in a fight. He left after making that threat.
