Road to becoming the wealthiest: Starting From Treasure Hunting in the Cabinets
Chapter 167 - 166: Is this curiosity or surveillance?

Chapter 167: Chapter 166: Is this curiosity or surveillance?

"Why do you always catch more fish than me?" Elijah Hastings seemed a bit unhappy. "And the fish are bigger too!"

Sean Knight touched his nose, could it be because he had the ability to see through the water and locate the fish?

Seeing that Sean didn’t say anything, Elijah didn’t ask any further.

Perhaps Sean’s fishing skills were just superior.

In fact, they didn’t catch that many fish, just three or five for each person.

As the big ship sailed, the fish they caught were comparatively larger and more aggressive. Sean caught a bluefin tuna nearly a meter long. Penson Smith clamored to make sashimi, and Sean, not knowing how, handed the fish to him and his subordinates to deal with.

When they stayed at the New York Harbor, there were plenty of fish to eat.

That evening, they indeed had fish for dinner.

Sean didn’t see who the cook was, but the taste was surprisingly good.

Penson picked up a plate and a fork, eating the grilled fish as he approached Sean, and asked:

"Mr. Knight, how’s the weather going to be tomorrow?"

Sean took a piece of sashimi, the taste of wasabi was very strong. He sniffed and looked out, saying:

"I don’t know about tomorrow, but I think there might be a storm tonight."

Penson, seeing a sky full of stars, had a hard time believing.

"I just said it casually, don’t take it seriously." Sean ate the sashimi and took a bite of the grilled fish, "Mmm, this tastes great!"

By midnight, Sean was awakened by the violent shaking of the ship.

Elijah had already woken up. Seeing that Sean was awake, he said:

"It’s raining outside."

"Mm," Sean said, still not entirely awake, and didn’t pay attention.

"It’s a storm." Elijah added another sentence.

Sean nodded.

"When we were eating the fish tonight, I heard you talking to that Penson guy, saying there would be a storm."

"That’s normal." Sean moved around and looked out of the window, "it looks like a big storm. Given the shaking, people with poor balance would probably feel sick!"

"I’m already feeling a little dizzy," Elijah said expressionless, "so stop talking."

"You’ve been drifting at sea for so long and still not used to it?"

"I can’t get used to it. Oh right, that’s off-topic." Elijah persisted, "When you said it would rain, the sky was full of stars!"

At this time, in the captain’s room, Penson Smith was seriously telling his assistant:

"I asked him about the weather for tomorrow night, and he said he doesn’t know about tomorrow, but there will be a storm tonight! "

"He might be good at predicting the weather..." the assistant tried to explain.

"But the sky was full of stars back then!" Penson insisted stubbornly, "He must have some kind of mysterious ability!"

The assistant did not understand.

Growing up with a scientific background, this was difficult to comprehend.

On the other hand, Elijah was still waiting for Sean’s answer.

Obviously, if Sean didn’t answer, he wouldn’t give up.

"Because I checked the weather forecast when I arrived!" Sean said casually, "At that time, I saw that there would be a storm in this area tonight, but the weather would be fine afterward."

Checked the weather forecast?

The mystical and grand image of Sean in Elijah’s mind instantly shattered!

Jason Caldwell had told him many stories about how Sean could easily find treasures by just pointing, and casually choosing valuable containers.

This made Elijah think that Sean must have some kind of magical ability.

Maybe the storm was also something he could predict? Looking at faces? Astrology?

Divination in medicine, astrology - Sean had told him that they all came from the Book of Changes and shared similarities.

It turned out that even those who studied the Book of Changes also checked the weather forecast...

Sean didn’t know about the changes in how Elijah perceived him. He looked outside again and said:

"The rain will last for a while, so rest up. I think even if the ship continues to sway, you should still be able to sleep."

Sean lay down again.

With the transformations to his body after obtaining Sky Eye and the Crystal Skull, Sean no longer got seasick.

The next morning, as predicted, the weather was clear, calm, and peaceful. It was as if the storm the night before was just a dream.

The boat was sailing quite fast.

On the deck, Sean Knight watched the dolphins jumping in the distance, excitedly taking videos.

Penson Smith seemingly walked up to Sean nonchalantly and asked:

"Dolphins are pretty rare, huh?"

"Yes, it’s rare to see them in groups." Sean had actually never seen dolphins outside.

"What does it mean?"

Sean was a bit puzzled by the question. What did it mean?

After a moment of hesitation, he answered:

"I guess it means good luck and fortune? In our culture, dolphins are considered a good thing."

Penson left happily.

Sean was somewhat puzzled. Why did he feel that Penson was acting mysterious?

On the third day, the boat reached the island pier, and they unloaded their belongings to a wooden cabin.

Sean was with Elijah Hastings.

The mood this time was much more relaxed.

After storing their stuff, Sean led Elijah out of the wooden cabin and walked towards the seaside.

"This is truly a great place for fishing," Sean pointed to the crabs, octopuses, and other marine creatures that scurried into the reefs as they saw humans, "If it wasn’t for the tasks at hand, I’d really like to stay in a place like this for a while."

Elijah resisted the urge to catch crabs up ahead, also thinking that the life Sean described was not bad.

However, there should always be time for that in the future.

"The last time I came here, I searched the beach for treasure, but only covered a quarter of it."

"Do we still go this way?" Elijah asked.

He came to protect Sean and naturally wanted to know the specifics of Sean’s actions.

"Yes," Sean nodded.

Elijah looked around for highpoints and key positions.

After dinner, Penson called Sean and Stephen, the team leader of another treasure hunter squad, into his room.

"Tomorrow, I’ll go treasure hunting with Mr. Knight," Penson declared right off the bat.

Stephen had some objections:

"I think Mr. Smith should follow our team instead. We have more people, making it safer. Also, our expertise in this industry is considered top-notch, so I believe we will find the treasure faster."

Stephen had a strong self-confidence, but the strength of his squad also supported that confidence.

Sean actually hoped that Penson would follow Stephen’s team so he could have more freedom.

He planned to see this treasure hunt as a vacation, playing and searching simultaneously.

As for the Bronze Man, if he couldn’t find it, he would simply buy it.

Penson stubbornly said:

"No need, no need. I will follow Mr. Knight. My assistant, Kevin Douglas, will follow your group, and we will contact each other if there is any news."

At this point, he asked Sean:

"Mr. Knight, how do you plan to search?"

"Along the beach," Sean replied.

"What about you guys?" Penson asked Stephen.

"We will first go to the highest point on the island to assess the situation."

"Alright then, we will set off after breakfast tomorrow. If we can come back in the evening, we will. If not, please inform us."

The meeting adjourned, and Sean went back to his own wooden cabin and told Elijah the news.

Some people were assigned to stand guard at night, so neither Elijah nor Sean needed to, meaning they could rest early.

The next day, Sean, Elijah, Penson, and one of his bodyguards walked along the coastline towards the distance.

More than two hours later, they arrived at the place where Sean had dug up the golden coin and silver coin boxes.

However, he did not stop, but continued walking forward.

After another almost eight hundred meters, at a bay, Sean stopped.

At this point, Penson was starting to feel disappointed.
