Chapter 1517: Chapter 723: Unbelievably Skillful!_2
Sean Knight had not told Cheryl Suweton about the matter. He thought that mentioning the creature in front of Cheryl would only hurt her again.
Three days later, Cheryl went back to the King’s Palace to attend the Gustav Family gathering, and Sean went to the exhibition hall.
When he arrived, people had already entered the hall.
Old Baker and Lincoln Harrington were at the entrance, one greeting, the other checking.
Some were dissatisfied with Lincoln’s checking, others cooperated, but that was not an issue. After entering, Sean saw seven or eight people inside, chatting in three or four small circles.
The place was simply arranged, with three rows of chairs, buffet tables on both sides, and a two-step raised platform at the front, which currently held nothing.
It was originally a small performance hall, now transformed into what it was.
Quite nice.
Sean entered carrying a box. As soon as he entered, he immediately drew a lot of attention.
Douglas Cooper walked over, then smelled something.
"Put it up," Sean said. "These people must be getting impatient."
"Indeed. The first person arrived an hour ago."
The first person was a Big-bearded man wearing a white coat. Sean felt this person was a bit pretentious—coming out for a visit while simultaneously conducting a transaction.
You can say it makes sense to wear a white coat in a Laboratory, but wearing it out and about, and so pristine, it doesn’t seem like a mad scientist or a knowledgeable beautiful girl, what are you pretending for?
Big-bearded was naturally loud, hadn’t seen Sean just now, and was still ranting:
"Are we, the Laboratory directors, just here to watch? How long has it been? Why hasn’t it started yet? Where is the thing you mentioned? Why haven’t I seen it yet..."
Douglas carried the box over to arrange things, while Sean walked over and grabbed Big-bearded by the collar.
Although Big-bearded was taller than Sean, Sean lifted him up just like that.
"What are you doing? I’m going to sue you! I’m calling the police!" Big-bearded hadn’t expected Sean to be so strong and was lifted straight up.
In his panic, he started yelling, drawing everyone in the hall closer.
"If you don’t take out those contact lenses that can record video from your eyes right now, I’m going to gouge your eyes out and throw you out," Sean said coldly to him!
Big-bearded showed fear in his eyes and obediently reached into his right eye and then pulled out something translucent on his fingertip.
Everyone nearby was stunned!
Sean grabbed the lens, glared at Big-bearded, then released his grip.
Big-bearded nearly fell but was steadied by those nearby, his earlier bravado gone.
Sean then pointed to a few other people:
"You, and you, and you... Do I need to remind you?"
This time Lincoln approached, his expression embarrassed:
"Boss, I failed..."
"It’s not your fault. Technology has developed too quickly... I’m talking to you! Don’t think about getting away!"
He pointed to a man wearing a suit and glasses, who looked a bit like the tycoon, Bill, and shouted:
"Do you want me to tear off your button?"
The man turned pale upon hearing this, obediently pulled off a button from his shirt, and handed it to Sean.
Two other people, one yanked a plastic decorative button from their bag, and another took off their glasses.
Clearly, these were all disguised cameras.
"I’ll say it again," Sean loudly reminded, "I treat each Customer equally—you should be aware of the sensation what you want to buy would cause if released. If you want to buy it, do it quietly, otherwise, you still have time to leave now!"
Not a single person left.
At this moment, there were already twenty people in the hall.
Sean checked the time, then said to Douglas:
"Let’s start."
Lincoln returned to the Entrance, and Sean moved to the front of the platform.
Douglas took out the headless creature from the box.
Although most of the attendees already knew about it, they couldn’t help but gasp when they saw the creature.
The creature was still in the state it had been killed, its head shot, and its blood mingling with an odd smell that spread throughout the hall.
Seeing everyone moving towards the platform, some people had even opened small bottles they carried, presumably to collect the smell from the air.
"I won’t say much about this," Sean addressed the crowd:
"You know the value of what you want to buy. Now, it’s for sale on-site. Please act quickly. Those who raise their hands first get priority."
"I, I, I want to buy 100 grams!" a woman was the first to raise her hand:
"I want to buy the reproductive part—100 grams—can I get a bit more?"
"Sorry, no," Sean replied as he pulled several items out of his pocket. He first donned gloves and a face mask, then took out a small scale.
Lastly, a scalpel.
He made the cut.
Sean’s ability to pull so many items out of his pocket was something Elijah and the others were accustomed to, but it amazed everyone else.
This creature was male, and Sean regretted not removing the reproductive organs earlier like he had with the head.
A pity.
However, since he had already promised, he would stick to the agreement.
He made a cut there and then and placed it on the scale.
grams!
Such precision immediately drew exclamations from those nearby!
Sean then pulled out a small plastic bag that could be sealed, placed the piece inside, and looked at the woman.
The woman, plain-looking but with sharp eyes and thin lips, immediately reached out her hand.
"Ma’am, you haven’t paid yet," Sean shook his head.
Elijah approached, holding a laptop that displayed the payment transfer page.
The woman reluctantly took out her mobile phone and started transferring money after seeing the account number on the laptop.
Soon, 1 million was in hand.
Sean discreetly handed the plastic bag to the middle-aged woman, swiftly dodging her attempt to touch him.
"Next!"
"I want an 85-gram muscle sample, but can I check the scale first—I’ll use my mobile phone... I’m not doubting you, I just think it was too coincidental... exactly 100 grams..."
"Go ahead," Sean continued emotionlessly.
The speaker was a tall, thin man who didn’t seem to enjoy talking much, probably a typical engineer type.
He placed his phone on it.
grams.
"It’s standard—I apologize," the man slightly bowed and then stepped back after picking up his mobile phone.
"Does anyone else want to try? Please come forward," Sean added.
"I’ll give it a try." Someone stepped forward and placed their mobile phone on the small scale.
grams.
After two more people tested it and saw the numbers, they kept quiet.
"Alright, you wanted 85 grams, right? Please pay," Sean instructed, holding a scalpel and starting to cut into the creature’s arm.
He resembled a butcher in front of a slaughter block.
After the man paid, Sean placed the chunk of muscle on the scale.
grams.
Extremely precise!
At the entrance, Old Baker had been watching this scene the whole time, and now he couldn’t help but ask Lincoln,
"Has your boss always been this cool? That move... so slick!"
"No, no, no, our boss... there’s much more to him than that," Lincoln chuckled, "This is just the tip of the iceberg!"
Old Baker sighed and looked towards there, thinking to himself that in just this short while he had already made over 90,000 US dollars.
Since when had making money become so simple?
Someone approached the entrance, and Lincoln immediately became formal.
Old Baker verified the individual’s identity, and Lincoln said expressionlessly:
"Please hand over any camera devices on you to avoid embarrassment later when you go inside."
The person clearly didn’t care and walked in after Lincoln’s thorough body check.
"To the one who just came in, hand over your earring! Don’t make me remind you again—those cameras, Lincoln, confiscate them!"
Damn!
